None of the Aquariuses use fish puns unless they're talking with the Pisces. Cronus does it as a deliberate attempt to grab Meenah's assfancy, while Eridan uses them under duress because they make Feferi happy, and only when speaking to her. Sollux also uses them, but given that he uses them even when talking to Karkat, they appear to be an unconscious pickup from Feferi.
When I wrote Eridan, Feferi and Sollux in my EriFefSol piece, I tended to have their speech patterns shift a little as they got closer to each other - Feferi started calling Sollux 'Sol' instead of using his full name, Eridan stopped saying "fuckin'" so often and started saying "glubbin'" instead, etc. It was a fun little exercise.

- Thus Feferidan-dan+sol= FefEriSol.
