First, I started watching A Series of Unfortunate Events. It's a pretty great show so far, with the classic dark humor as shown in the books.

Second, I'm heading down to D.C. for the protest against Fuhrer Trump.

I came back a while ago. There was a crap ton of people and it took forever for anyone to actually do anything. But it reminded me that there are still so many people in America who hate Trump, so I'm happy.

Unfortunately, Trump is delusional, so he won't get the message.

Don't be so sure. The orange-faced sex pest hears you loud and clear. He's still seething over the fact that a magazine accurately described him as a "short-fingered vulgarian" in the eighties. He's keenly aware that he was speaking to empty stands during his inauguration yesterday. And he knows people showed up to the protests today in exponentially greater numbers.

Keep it up. Don't lose heart. He'll be in prison in a year, and I bet his cellmate will be Muslim and/or Mexican. and very friendly.

Maybe he can hire Hillary as his lawyer. She already got one rapist off. Two if you count bill.

sorry let me expand: Hillary Clinton represented a man accused of raping a child and in a private recording said that when he passed the polygraph it ruined her faith in polygraphs, all but admitting she knew he was guilty.

this election was a fucking joke. we were screwed either way. You want to protest something protest how the DNC intentionally sabotaged their best candidate.

I fail to see how Hillary Clinton's history is relevant to people's criticisms of Trump. Saying "BUT HILLARY—!" helps no one and does nothing (except obfuscate the point, obviously).

For the record, she did ask to be dropped from the case, but the judge said no, so at that point, she didn't have a choice, and from then on, defended him to the best of her ability. Which is, you know, a defense attorney's job?

My point re: Trump is that our protests are not in vain. He does care what we think—immensely, in fact, since his life and career consist of nothing but curating his public profile—and we owe it to ourselves to let him know what we think of him, loudly and constantly, for as long as he remains president. The comical expression of schadenfreude I added at the end undermines none of that.

To clarify, my intended point was focusing on Trump is shortsighted because Hillary wasn't a aprticularly great candidate (or person) and the issues with the election ran much deeper than trump himself, so his removal wouldn't fix the problems inherent to the political system in america. But I got flustered and I took the low road and came off as a Trump supporter which I'm not. I should've taken more time to write out my thoughts but I've been chomping at the bit for this fight for what feels like weeks and I jumped at the chance hot headed. My bad fam.

as for Hiveswap, the projects just been horribly mismanaged. It's very clear Hussie didn't know what he was doing with the kickstarter, and even less so now. The only place I even hear about hiveswap anymore is from here. They've done an awful job advertising it and any time that happens my gut reaction is to assume a delay.

Let me guess, you think the election was rigged for Hillary to beat Bernie?

I mean, if someone's lawyer decides to walk into court and claim out loud their side is "wrong" that person shouldn't be a lawyer. That's not how any justice system is supposed work. EDIT: With the obvious disclaimer being if that someone agreed to confess or made some kind of accord with their lawyer, that situation isn't covered by the previous sentences.

Also, I abstain from commenting on any factual legal case I'm not involved for I am not a lawyer, a judge, a law enforcement officer, an executioner, a member of the jury, or have any kind of means and forensic knowledge to properly provide, evaluate and formulate a scientific opinion on possible and/or recorded verdicts.

I'm just gonna be blunt and hope that we don't discuss politics in the future in this thread, but if I may give my two cents: It's because of a lot of the falsehoods made up about Hillary that she lost. The email scandal was bullshit. Benghazi was bullshit. The Clinton Foundation was bullshit. Every alleged scandal about her and Bill Clinton that her opponents slung were all falsehoods, distorting information, and outright making crap up with fake news.

pro tip: If you don't want to talk politics in the thread, don't go on to talk politics in the thread.

I wanted to at least get my views out in the air for future reference.
