Fuck yeah! Amon Amarth's awesome as all hell in my opinion. Saw them live April of '09. W As an awesome show.

Favorite band by far. Listening to Amon Amarth never fails to raise my spirits whenever I feel down. Yep. Anyone else like Amon Amarth?

Never listened to them. Any idea what a good starting place would be?

I have a sort-of-friend who listens to them a lot and, accordingly, has a Amon Amarth shirt. I'll tell him about this thread, he'll probably be impressed.

Imi: With Oden on Our Side is a good album to start with. In my opinion it's their best one. I'd follow it up with Versus the World or Twilight of the Thunder God next.

I like Amon Amarth. The Hero off Twilight Of The Thunder God is awesome.

Because I choose to.

Off Twilight of the Thunder God I'm partial to the title track and Guardians of Asgaard. Though the whole album is good in my opinion.

Which kicks ASS live, both songs. The intro to Guardians live = [awesome][awesome][awesome]

In the same vein, the intro to Runes was also kickass.

I liked "Live For The Kill" off of Twilight of the Thunder God the best. The cellos kill me every time.

EDIT: Fixed the song title.

Think I'll try With Oden on Our Side.

Partly because I love the title.

Not familiar at all. Given the way this thread's going, I now desire more info. Links to videos would be awesome.

Also, shitpost below this point:

Amon Amarth, FUCK YEAH!
Comin' again to save the motherfuckin' day, yeah!

Sorry, that's just how I read the title and first post...
