i like my proposition better
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeWell, your proposition assumes taking gen numbers into account is good market practice. Mine assumes remakes every 5 years is a good market practice.
yeah but my proposition is more fun
and isn't that what the games are all about
do not take my last few posts too seriously
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-Maethen gen 10 would be remade in gen 20, and then 40, and then 80
tfw there's gonna be 80 generations of pokemon
And then there was silenceSo, the next remake will apparently be released in 2019?
OK.
Fine with it. We've just had a remake of Hoenn. But that would mean 3 more years of people shouting "SINNOH CONFIRMED!" :V
Warrior to the very end! My tumblr, dood!Well, Johto confirmed started in 2006, and Hoenn confirmed in 2010...
OK.
Or are you talking about a real thing that was confirmed, instead of just being sarcastic about the NX?

Gamefreak is getting NX kits before almost everyone except the main internal Nintendo studios. They're one of Nintendo's most important developers. They've probably had early kits for years at this point.
Sinnoh remakes will happen eventually, but not until GF has settled into the new system and engine. 2019 is a reasonable guess, though a year off either way wouldn't shock me.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences.FRLG came out 8 years after RG. HGSS was 10 years after GS. ORAS was 12 years after RS.
So my guess is that DP remakes will be in 2020, 14 years after DP. That will likely put it in the second year of Gen VIII. That fits well enough, and Gen VII is unlikely to have a remake since it's the second generation of a console, and will start to overlap with the next console. Like Gen V. And it'll give more time for people who started with Sinnoh to get even older, so the nostalgia for Sinnoh will increase.
see, my proposition now has even more evidence behind it
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeNow that's a funny coincidence.
Don't forget eventual re-releases of old games. Gen I became available on the Virtual Console this year, so this opens up another possibility for Nintendo to cash in.
... And that's called jazz!Instead of having Sinnoh games alongside Johto remakes, we'll have the original Johto games alongside Sinnoh remakes.
If they stick to the pattern of remakes every 5 years we can probably expect Sinnoh remakes in 2019. That's a good 3 years away which gives Game Freak ample time to get used to the NX and make them. Of course that relies on the NX being a handheld as well as a console. If the NX is just a console we probably won't get them until later.

I can see 2020 being when the Sinnoh remakes are released. Not because of any pattern but because Sun and Moon would be released in 2016, so a sequel or summat would be released in 2017, Gold and Silver would be ported over to the Virtual Console in 2018, in 2019 Gen VIII would be released, and in 2020 we would be clamoring for Diamond and Pearl remakes, so...
Updates:
My Pokemon Black team is now in its mid-70s. I'm gonna tackle post-game content and let yall know how it goes against major fights (like Cynthia).
My Living Dex is 52.1% complete! This is before going out of my way to complete it, too! Soon I'll go out and catch/breed the remaining 345 pokemon!
Some interesting statistics:
The Region for which I have the most complete Pokedex for is Unova at 59.7% complete! Ironically this is also the region with the most unique Pokemon.
The Region for which I have the least complete Pokedex for is Sinnoh at 43.3% complete.

"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaePushover: Personally, I think that the Creation Trio would be better as the Primals. In fact, Primal Dialga is already a thing.
I'd give the Spirits something similar to Rayquaza: A way to Mega Evolve without a Stone (at least "officially").
And why wait for Gen 8 to republish Gold & Silver? Why couldn't they just do that in 2018?
Okay, so they'd want to do it 3 years after RBY so 2019...
Note that I didn't say Crystal: I'm not sure which of the Japanese or International versions they'd want to port...
Ketchum's corollary to Clarke's Third Law: Any sufficiently advanced tactic is indistinguishable from blind luck.Primal Diagla has a different title from the actual Primals in Japan (it's Dark Diagla or something) and it's not the same thing. Don't conflate the two.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Is there that much difference between the japanese and international versions of Crystal?
I couldn't conceive a dream so wet; your bongos make me congo. The only difference is that in the Japanese version the Goldenrod Pokemon Center was larger, and acted as the Pokemon Communication Center. It's where you used the online features using the mobile phone adapter.
The only significant change to go with that is that in the Japanese version the Daycare man would give you a ticket you traded at the Center for the Odd Egg, whereas in other versions you're just given the egg. Because of that, the egg's chance of being shiny was higher in Japan.

That sounds like something they'd have to rework for the VC releases, anyway, like they did with RBY's trading stuff.
I couldn't conceive a dream so wet; your bongos make me congo. If that's the case, I predict if there's a VC release in Japan, the Pokemon Center's size will be reduced for obvious reason.
Anyways, why isn't Chansey recommended in Uber?
Or, we got remakes every 5 years since 2004.
