I believe every fully evolved Pokemon can be both feed and petted, but some need to be petted very carefully.
Strange, considering I'm fairly certain Pokemon-Amie is a digital interface showing what's going on inside the Poke Balls your team is in.

Sun and Moon's looks like it will use the battle background of whatever area you're in, so at least in that case it's not quite so weird.
I don't think Cryogonal can be petted anywhere, or Regice or Rotom.

That's just an urban myth. Even the 'dex thinks it's dubious enough to tack an "it is said" on there, and it thinks Magcargo burns hotter than the surface of the sun.

Kanto, actually- There's no wild Slugma in Johto. You have to get to Cycling Road to catch 'em, along with a number of other Gen II 'mons that only show up in Kanto.
But yeah, if the 'dex is accurate, the Pokemon world should be a burnt husk with no atmosphere because of Magcargo.

My favorite Ghost type is probably Aegislash or Gengar. My favorite Dark type is probably Hydreigon (unless you count Mega Gyarados).
