While I don't like Gen IV that much, I must say I do love Cynthia and some of Sinnoh's music a lot. Such a shame that out of the Sinnoh trio of games only Platinum's worth playing. And I guess HG/SS are alright...
Warrior to the very end! My tumblr, dood! This is why I anticipate a Gen 4 remake, especially if it takes advantage of the new mechanics we see from Sun and Moon (like Riding pokemon possibly replacing HM's).
Watch SymphogearYeah, I'm actually all for a Sinnoh remake, AS LONG AS, it takes notes from Platinum.
Warrior to the very end! My tumblr, dood!I wouldn't mind a Delta Episode thing for the postgame where you have to fight Arceus with Giratina, if only because I actually want to fight Arceus without having to trade for it.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy. With all the great new stuff they're doing with Sun and Moon a remake would actually be pretty disappointing unless it was a total overhaul for me.
Well, with Gen IV being seen as so mediocre, I guess a remake sounds a lot more justified.
I guess my confusion at Gen IV's dislike is mostly because everyone seems to praise Gen V as the second coming of Jesus. And yea, I liked Gen V for the most part, but not to the "OH MY GOD, AMAZING TIER" standard that people seem to put it on.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.i wouldn't necessarily put it on that high of a pedestal but it was pretty damn polished and enjoyable compared to everything that preceded it.
I dunno, I remembering enjoying Black and White well enough but Black 2 and White 2 were just "Meh" to me. I think its because the early game is such a sloooogggg
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I don't think there's a single great Pokemon game yet.
None are bad, I'd say most are even on the better side of good, but they all have a lot of very glaring flaws that hold them back in some way, but with each new game they each tend do something to fix the previous gen's shortcomings. The remakes all have the problem of making old issues new iterations have fixed stand out that much more. Maybe the rideable Pokemon will fix some of Sinnoh's problems, but I don't know if a remake that's faithful is going to address all of them.

I feel the same way, most of my comments are based on my enjoyment of BW 1, not 2.

B2W2 is the game I spend most time on. It has huge amount of content and a good regional Pokedex.

Non Indicative UsernameYeah, I think that they're all great, but each has its own flaws.
But I just love Unova so much!

Warrior to the very end! My tumblr, dood!As the first Pokemon games I ever played to completion, Gen IV holds a special place in my heart.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy.Yes, basically, I see it that way, too, about the every game not being really great thing.
If i were to have an ideal Gen 4 remake, it would have what was already said; like riding pokemon, and taking notes from Platinum (maybe, like what Weirdguy 149 said, have a Delta Episode-like postgame for Giratina, and let the True Final Boss be Arceus. That sounds awesome, but the fact it'd be demoted from Mythical to Legendary would kinda suck).

Goddammit, Schezo... || *insert incredibly thirsty copypasta about Dr. Ratio*I'm guessing they're going to hold off on Gen IV remakes until next gen for a few reasons:
1. You can still play gen IV games on the 3DS, whereas all the previous remakes were released on systems where the orignal games couldn't be played.
2. Going off that, the games don't feel old enough yet. It's best for them to let the nostalgia build before they cash in.
3. It makes little sense of them to release these games for the 3DS with the NX coming out. Unless the rumor is true that S&M will see an NX port, then I'm guessing they'll want to wait until next gen.
Deoxys is still considered a Mythical despite being catchable in game.
Non Indicative UsernameHmm... I thought it was demoted. Pretty sure it is.
Goddammit, Schezo... || *insert incredibly thirsty copypasta about Dr. Ratio*Honestly, I think 2 is better than 1. While 1 has a much more epic plot, it's kind of a standard fantasy plot, albeit done very well, while the sequel expands on everything from the first game, it has the villains flying an airship that fires city-freezing lasers, incorporates the Muskedeers well, shows the good part of Team Plasma functioning as a part of the plot, has an awesome rival with great motivation and character, introduces a new cool scientist character to partially run Neo-Plasma, has Ghetsis tricking N into pulling a Big Damn Heroes in order to force-fuse his dragon with Kyurem, has that post-game quest with N, all those call-backs and flashbacks to the events between the two games, you can become a movie star in some of the coolest scenarios this series has to provide, and has the Pokemon World Tournament, where every single previous Gym Leader and Champion makes an appearance, including Red!
Black Tower / White Forest are also fun rogue-like and a good place to grind. Not to mention a sweet reward at the end.
Join Avenue is no Super Training, but it's a step in the right direction.
@ Arceus. Being a Mythical isn't something you should be proud of.
@ Deoxys. It's still banned in VGC, for some ungodly reason.

Non Indicative Username@Amethyst: Going by Bulbapedia it's still mythical.
x4 It is now only tradeable if you didn't get it from an event. (As in, no ribbon.)

My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes!OH YEAH! THE PWT! They need to bring that back! That's one of the best things GF has ever created! Please bring it back, GF! I want to challenge every gym leader again! And maybe the Elite Four!

Warrior to the very end! My tumblr, dood!Oh, and the Shadow Triad were badass ninjas.
I really liked the movie studio. It was incredibly silly, yes, but it was also kinda fun to figure out how to get through each battle the right way.
I disagree completely with the note, and mostly agree with the rest of the post.
Anyway, I think the one thing I can say Gen IV did right was establishing an overall feel and tone to the game. The issue is that the towns all meld together and none of them feel distinct other than Snowpoint or whatever it was called, and that's only because it was covered in snow.
That, the fact that the game is slow af, and the huge level spike in the end result it being one of my least favorite games.
But mining
Mining was the best
I'm not sure if I like it more than the Gen III games though.
