Swords dance is his signature and crawfish uses it. Aside from that yeah no.
Such a wasted and poorly done character.
His Roserade has Petal Dance and his Battle Maison Hawlucha has Feather Dance.
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite. If Tierno had one thing.
One. Thing. Going on in his life that was not "DANCING!"
He could of been a contender. Heck - they could of made skating his thing, too - I think there's some concept art of him skating somewhere, which could of led to a subplot with Korrina, which could of led to his getting a Mega Ring, which could of led to him eclipsing your no-personality rival as your number 1 competitor....
That kid was such a waste.
Speaking of rivals anyone know why they've started to remove the ability to name them?
Cause having a rival named ASSFACE kinda ruins the tension
Oh really when?Because freedom is bad, I guess.
Also possibly because of all the Dicks Oak jokes.
,
True though it's still a bummed they got removed.

They probably figured that allowing people to name their in-universe friends things like "douche" and such wouldn't be such a good idea or something.
Was mostly referring to X/Y in my case, but I wasn't aware that B/W 2 allowed for rival renaming since I've never played them. I had thought the last games to do it were the Gen IV games and the Gen II remakes.

Are you forgetting that your rival could be named in B/W 2? It's really not as bad as you think it is. Out of the main series games, RBY, GSC, DP Pt, HGSS, and B/W 2 have had rivals you could name. It's only RSE, XY, and BW that you couldn't name rivals.

And those are the three where you either have multiple rivals, or your "true" rival's kind of ambiguous.
So fair enough - I guess it's a story thing.
Do all four of the other guys in X/Y count as rivals? I'm going to guess B/W is the "true rival is ambiguous" one.

Put a bowler hat on Tabitha.
They're kind of sort of rivals... close enough, I guess.
And BW has multiple normal rivals anyway (Bianca and Cheren).

I couldn't conceive a dream so wet; your bongos make me congo. You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!
In general, you get to name the rival you're childhood friends with. Cheren and Bianca are the exceptions, likely because there were two of them at once. Silver is the exception for the nameable rivals, but in that instance you're giving a name to the police, which Silver happily adopts for some reason.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences.I think the implication with Silver was that you caught his name somehow (in HGSS you supposedly see his trainer card, I think?), and the name you give the police retroactively becomes what his name has always been.
... What?

I couldn't conceive a dream so wet; your bongos make me congo.tabitha was never the same ever since he and his girl split
And then there was silenceThe amount of stupid contained in this accurate description of events is probably a big part of the reason they don't bother having you name your rival every time now.
Well, to be fair, you were Schrodinger naming all your other rivals too, just in some odd dream dimension beyond the fourth wall. Not that that's much better, but still.
Also, I think the apparent decline of nameable rivals is more down to the increase in multiple rivals/friends than anything. And it's only two recent games that've done it; you could still name Hugh.
I couldn't conceive a dream so wet; your bongos make me congo.why did they change the way you find out silver's name?
And then there was silenceSo that you wouldn't name him ??? like some kids actually did, I guess.
I would say that no one would mistake "Passerby Kid" as a name, but who would confuse "???" for a name? Maybe I just forget how stupid I was at eight years old. More importantly, now you can't fit his "name" in the old character limit.
"What's out there? What's waiting for me?"I named him ???? when I first played the game...
Oh really when?I have heard many stories of people naming Silver question marks back in the day.
I couldn't conceive a dream so wet; your bongos make me congo.
@Doc: Good.
