Why isn't this fuckawesome manga more famous? I can't find it in any scan sites! Also, it's hilarious how much the story, set in 2000, parallels the 2008 elections.

I also read and liked Eagle. It's a serious story with a cast of adult characters. (That may be a reason why it's not popular... no fighting tournaments, no bathroom humor, no bishounen, no moe...) It's a shame that it went out of print quite some years ago.

Well it's very popular over here in Spain (although it's quite expensive).

So, what would be needed to start a T Vtropes entry for this manga?

Read it and like it. smile

although the part about reducing US army, strengthening UN and getting Texas vote is a bit implausible.

Well, the US Army is bigger than it needs to be in certain areas (and not big enough in others, and aren't they somewhat downsizing in Real Life anyway?) and the UN is weaker than it needs to be in most areas. I'd support those proposals.

[up]Actually downsizing the military's all but politically impossible - even closing unneeded bases requires a fair bit of finagling. And there's no way you can get away with strengthening the UN to any appreciable degree.
