The instructor made the recruit do the instructor's homework, forced another recruit to help him hit on said recruit's sister...and that is just the stuff they were definitely able to pin on him. He is accused of doing other bad shit.
Disgusted, but not surprisedOk so he made him do the instructors homework. They didn't quite word that very well. Yeah fuck that guy.
Who watches the watchmen?Abuse and plagiarism? Sarge is getting expelled from school at the very least.
In addition to whatever the standard punishment for that stuff is in the military.

Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects.Yeah, as others said, the instructor forced the recruit to participate in plagarism.
Now, if the USMC let recruits do their own college work while in boot camp, then the Air Force would officially be allowed to mock them for having so much free time and freedom.
@Abrams being vulnerable: Um...why? Shouldn't it have full protection everywhere?
Jas: Not actually possible. The weight of such a beast would be prohibitive. Pretty much every tank has their strongest armor across their frontal arcs the Abrams included. As it is the Abrams has gotten a bit too heavy and they are hoping to leverage some improvements to cut the weight back down at least.

Who watches the watchmen? You can never make an invincible tank anyway. Armor will always be defeated in the long run. It's easier to break something than protect against it.
It's why there's been tons of work into active protection systems and unless we pull some crazy ultralight material out of our ass or reactive armor gets like twice as effective overnight that's probably what the future of tanks are gonna look like.

Oh really when?Yeah, the British and the Americans are the ones who've doubled down on modern armor, and it shows - the Challenger and the Abrams are the heaviest beasts around, at least in NATO.
It's worth thinking about tank armor at least partially as a last resort thing. Tank armor isn't there to soak up ATGM's like it's nothing, it's there as an added protection in case you get hit. It's always preferable not to get shot in the first place.
Still not embarrassing enough to stan billionaires or tech companies.Ummm, whats the official designation for the class of vehicles that includes things like the Humvee, the MRAP, Gun Jeeps..... and just general car like vehicles with guns agian?
There too light to really be IFV, or APC.....
Do they have a class of there own?
Infantry Mobility Vehicle, IIRC.
"Yup. That tasted purple."And the lighter ones that are like some one armed a dune buggy? Or are they the same thing? Sorry.
If it's purposely-built for the military, it's a Light Utility Vehicle. If it's a modified civilian vehicle, it's a Technical.
The military dune buggy is a Desert Patrol Vehicle (originally called a Fast Attack Vehicle.)

This Space Intentionally Left Blank.I'd always referred to Humvees and MRA Ps as "Trucks" because that seems to be what they are.
I imagine all military vessels need an engineering unit on board, but for their commanding officer, what rank does he or she needs to be in?
MRAPs and things that heavy are "trucks". Humvees and lighter vehicles are "jeeps".
Unless they resemble a dune buggy in which case they're a buggy.
Oh really when?As with most things in the navy, it depends on the vessel.
"Yup. That tasted purple."Dedicated engineering officers are pretty rare over here. Often people with very specific skill sets.
Si Vis Pacem, Para PerkeleSkills that make them a nightmare for people like BOB?
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.Well ummm I hate to say this to you but....
's answer is way more accurate then you may think.
See, the bigger and more important the ship, the more of a status symbol it is, and thus the higher rank you need to be to be in specific positions on it.
and What about submarines?

What kinda submarine?
Oh really when?Ballistic missile submarines
edited 13th Aug '17 12:27:51 PM by HallowHawk
They are professional soldiers, who have an engineering degree (IT, R&D etc.). They're often hired to fill in specific vacancies like "systems engineer" and so on.

Si Vis Pacem, Para PerkeleBallistic Missile Submarines?
Practically as far as I remember, you need something like two years and a lot of training to even get into one, along all the training that can vary between the technical aspect of manning sonar equipment to nuclear engineering.
All of that for you to spend 6 months breathing recycled farts.

The way I read it was that the instructor was forcing the recruits to do the instructor's homework for him.
