X5 This. Bulma was never intimidated by Vegeta in the abridged series, Yajirobe even made a point about how careless she is.

Also, Chichi never raped Goku. It's night when we hear the sex scene, and Gohan and Crilin were kicked out around the morning/early afternoon. Yeah, the context is badly explained (you have to watch a Q&A session that most people skip to know about Chichi being into kinky stuff) and you can't be blamed if you thought it like that, but it wasn't rape.

• Yamcha: Hey, at least I get some puss—wow, that did NOT come out right.

But they at least had the good taste to have the punchline be Yamcha accidentally making the dig at himself and having to walk it back rather than implying that it's actually a thing that happens.

Nowhere near the level of reckless abandon with which they throw around the topic of rape.

I mean, Piccolo isn't technically Satan, that would be Dabura. Hell, Demigra is probably the closest we have to a satanic being, since he's just as prideful as Lucifer is.

Depends on how you look at it. Dabura is the sinister ruler of a demon dimension, while Piccolo is the evil counterpart of God. They're different aspects of the Satan role.

Until we find out that King Piccolo is just a Namekian born from evil, that he and Kami are just aliens, and that "God" is just a title that is given to anyone who is qualified for the position out of the population of the planet they govern, with both Korin and Mr. Popo actually being sent down from the Afterlife to assist said "God".

There's no real good analogue of Satan in Dragon Ball: while Devilman has the 'corrupting people's hearts with evil' thing, Demon King Piccolo has the 'God's evil counterpart' thing, and Dabura has the 'ruler of Demons' thing, there's no character who fits the 'Fallen Angel' thing, except maybe Zamasu, weirdly enough.

The one does not discredit the other. God is a Namekian who became God after purifying his soul of evil and ascending the position. The evil he purified from himself became Piccolo, who is simultaneously Demon King and Namekian.

Sort of? Specifically, he works in the version where the Antichrist is Satan Incarnate just as Christ is God Incarnate, but that's not really what the Antichrist is meant to represent. It's just a version of it.

After his reincarnation, Piccolo was discernibly changed. He had actual world domination aspirations rather than simply wanting to genocide the planet in as sadistic a way as possible, his victims were no longer lost to a void between realities but could instead pass on to the afterlife, and he was capable of being redeemed by Gohan. His self-imposed reincarnation seems to have repaired the moral compass that was fractured by being only half of a person, though continuity of identity resulted in him taking some time to start using it.

He was still Piccolo, but reincarnating himself had an interesting effect on his nature.

Which I believe refers to the kid's toy called the See 'N' Say. You know, the roulette wheel-looking thing that points at random pictures along its perimeter and goes "the cow says 'Moo'." and such.

Basically, he's calling Vegeta predictable.

Abridged Vegeta needs to have this conversation with the Z-Warriors. Piccolo used to be "literally Satan", Tien was a contract killer and wasn't Yamcha a bandit?

Semi-competent bandit that managed a win on Goku because Goku was hungry.

Mind, Tien wasn't a contract killer yet. He was a contract killer in training. He wanted to become a great assassin like his hero Taopaipai. Kame-sennin was able to redeem him before he actually got that far.

Krillin doesn't have a bloody history, he was just an asshole who started martial arts so he could impress women and openly cheated in his competition with Goku but he came around to being a decent sort pretty quick. By the time the 21st Tenkaichi Budokai began, he and Goku were besties.

Kame-sennin is a creepy pervert whose entry exam for training was for Goku and Krillin to literally kidnap a woman for him so I really appreciate TFS never letting him live that down and, if anything, really running with how creepy he is.

• Krillin: I don't get it. How are you not on some kind of a list?!
• Kame-sennin: You think MASTER ROSHI is my real name?

I find it weird that people rememner Yamcha winning that fight when it never happened. Yeah, he knocked Goku flying, who proceeded to knock Yamcha flying, and then Yamcha saw Bulma and ran away.

There was no conclusion to round one.

Goku's guard was down due to hunger and Yamcha was coming in with the finishing blow. If not for Bulma, Goku would've definitely lost that fight.

Also, Krillin does have a bit of backstory: he used to train in a monastery before running away to train under Roshi due to being bullied by some of the other students there.

Yes, he has a backstory. I'm just saying that compared to the rest of the cast, his dickish traits are relatively benign and short-lived. The worst thing he ever did before becoming one of Goku's pals was...

Well, the worst thing was knowingly going along with Kame-sennin's entry exam to abduct a woman for him. Goku did too, but he didn't know better. Krillin did.

But the worst thing he ever did on his own initiative was cheating at the rock-finding test.

I'd love it if they tell Vegeta that both Tien and Yamcha managed to beat goku, which he has never accomplished. That would compleatly break him.

Didn't Krillin try and kill Goku during their training? I feel like that was a thing.

He cut the bridge...but that's all.

Vegeta's beaten Goku. He left Goku a crippled mess at the end of their fight, forcing Krillin, Gohan, and Yajirobe to finish the job. Taking him down was a team effort that Goku spent the last third or so coordinating from his prone, broken state.

Yamcha never actually won that fight. He was on the verge of going for what he intended to be a knockout blow, but it's entirely possible, that even as weak as he was, Goku still would have won, because people probably find it funnier to assume Yamcha still would have lost.

Honestly, even I don't know if he'd have finished Goku at that point.

I know we moved on from this part, but is it funny that I never saw that as rape, but as Popo mocking Krillin for letting those be his last words before he was killed?

Cause that's how I saw that video. Didn't know about any tentacles either, and I'm ok keeping it that way.
