I rewatched Cooler Abridged. Goku goes "I'm sorry about your dad. If I ever have a son, I'll treat him better." In the same movie that he acknowledge that he had a son, by going "Get away from my food, my friend, my two emergency foods, and my son, in that order."
Goku is unbelievable sometimes.
It turns out that Cooler also was as strong as he was without training. That's why he was so inconsistent in Cooler Abridged. In "Resurrection C", he'll train for five months, and thus Goku will have to go Kaioken x20 Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan in order to stand a chance.

The sad, REAL American dichotomyI think it's because it's just the beginning of something much bigger.
I mean, Gohan is gonna be spending a long amount of time with his dad, while nursing a lot of bitterness towards him.
We know it's gonna come to a head, likely during the Cell Games, and Gohan's comment just seems like the beginning of a very dark character arc for him in the eyes of some.
Maybe we're all taking it more seriously then it's meant to be (well, it's supposed to be a joke, so there's no maybe about it), but still.
Gonna be funny, but hard to watch.
Remember, Gohan debating Goku's status as an adult (accurate or not) means that in a sense, he sees Vegeta and Guru as being more like adults than his own dad.
That's just my personal opinion however. I might be reading too much into it.

One Strip! One Strip! It's funny because they're both debatable, Vegeta is more or less an extremely arrogant adolescent in terms of behavior, and Guru is an asshole. Though, Gohan was six with those original jokes, he's about ten now.

This shall be my true, Start of Darkness^^^ But Resurrection C is supposed to be about the return of Cell. Unless you're talking about Resurrection CC, which is about the return of Cell and Cooler where everyone goes out for a pizza buffet.
#IceBearForPresidentNice.
I still don't see how you guys are so set that this is going to be built to a head during the Cell games instead of during they year in which they have nothing else to do but talk and fight.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyDebatable. Gohan is also four years older than he was when this joke happened with Vegeta and Guru. His mind has developed more, which has increased his capacity for both bitterness and snappy comebacks.
On Namek, he was a happy-go-lucky child thrust into uncomfortable and frequently dangerous. By now, he's a bit jaded from all the things he's encountered in his short life.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Yeah, I considered that as well.
This is the first time he's mature enough to actually question the statement.
It's just that.....well, he may not be wrong, but of all times for it to happen.
Well, as pointed out, this is either going to be dealt with during the year they are in the chamber, or at the Cell games itself.
One Strip! One Strip! Also noteworthy: Abridged Guru and Vegeta are detestable people but not out of immaturity. They're detestable because they're assholes, and there are plenty of adults who are assholes.
Abridged Goku is a relentless manchild, but abridged Guru and Vegeta are terrifying, monstrous adults. When those jokes happened, Gohan was afraid of them. This time, he's just disappointed in Goku.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.I'd say Vegeta is incredibly insecure. If Goku was the nice yet dim 8 year old, then Vegeta is the intelligent, yet arrogant and mean 8 year old bully. Guru, well, Guru was a senile monster who may or may not have been actually senile.
This shall be my true, Start of DarknessWhen Broly.
I'd just like to correct something real fast: Kid Buu did not copy Instant Transmission, Goku's technique, he was stated to have copied Instant Movement, Kibito Kaio's technique, which is a far better method of teleporting.
Ah, I wanted to be the one to point that out.
But, yeah, and it's better because you can just go wherever you want without having to lock onto someone's energy signature.
In my defense, I just said he used something akin to Instant Transmission.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Maybe he didn't learn it from Goku. Maybe he learned it from Bibidi.
I forgot about that.
Adding Kibitokai to the list of people who are a faster mode of transportation than "Fastest in the Universe" Whis.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.But what if Whis trained for Four Months?
Than he would literally be strong enough to beat US up. In the real world. As a fictional character.
Tbh, I find Vegeta's abridged voice to be very seductive
This shall be my true, Start of DarknessHe'd be able to kill Superman by poking him lightly on the chest, that's how strong he'd be.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy. He can already do that now because he has magic.
He'd almost be as much of an Uchiha as me.
One Strip! One Strip! So if you despise Uchihas and you've admitted to being an Uchiha, does that mean you hate yourself?
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!So is Piccolo's voice
This shall be my true, Start of Darkness
Finally watched it on Youtube.
18, 16 and Vegeta continue to be funny.
That entire bit with Cell was great.
The Goku/Gohan joke was nowhere near as big a deal a some people here made it out to be.
