Little bit more please? It's been a few weeks since I read it.

I liked the first few chapters or so. That's pretty much it. Bhepin seriously needs some iceberg lessons.

There seems to be a village in the midst of the miasma that survives the onslaught, but the narration is becoming a Mind Screw. Apparently there is a saintly old psyker woman protecting it by her thought, and she's speaking menatlly with an angry Child. My guess is Shinji, but she speaks as if the conversation took place in 1948...

That's definitely not Shinji. I want to say that it's somebody trying to convince her to give up.

Honestly, I enjoyed the poorly written charm of the first few chapters over the sweeping storyline in the others. Especially since it just got so loooooooooooooooooooong.

Now? Shit hit the fan with the latest. Shit. Hit. The. Fan.

I should've seen what happened at the end of the last chapter coming, considering canon, but it still hit like a kick in the balls.

Anyone know any whispers as to a possible update? I don't really like cliffhangers at the best of times and this one least of all. I love the story and want to see more of it.

Bpen's FF.net page says that he's planning on starting work on either this or another of his fics in the near future...beyond that, no idea.

Argh. I was afraid that would be the case. Still, time to re-read what has already been done, I suppose.

I imagine that it'll be really hard to write the next chapter. At this point, we're very close to if not at the endgame. Shit has gone completely to hell.

Hmm. I haven't seen all the anime or read the manga for the canon!Shinji. I hope this one ends up better than what have heard of the original.

~Necro~ I have just given up when Yang got shot (ironically it was when I thought it got slightly interesting compared to the previous dozen chapters) and reading it became a chore. Whats happening from there?

No. It still plays out... but the events are WILDLY different.

With the impeding rewrite, there's no telling what's going to happen. I'm rather sad about it, S&40K was my introduction to Eva fanfic and I was hoping that Bpen would finish it before trying to rewrite it...wait and see, I guess.

I remembered a time when I was enjoying this fic, but it just got stale...

Alternatively, A Thousand Shinji was just as good without needless sub-plots. The Open Door on the other hand...
