EDIT: Haha, a kinda-spammy joke introduction post ends up being in a place where everyone can see it :P By modding, of course, I mean modding DF, of which I have done so much that I have a near-encyclopedic knowledge of all that can be done with modding.

I also got started on jumping. My first jump was off by a factor of 100, so I flew against a cliff and blew apart. I'm still working on it.

I once tried to mod in Twipires, just to see if I could.

I never encountered any, and shortly thereafter I went berserk installing other mods and created a world with typeless meat and entire cultures of very dwarfy elves, so I have no idea whether it succeeded or not.

Hmm. My two projects involved the "Living Metal Golem" A bronze golem replacement that bled tin, had copper bones, lead heart,etc. The idea being you could bleed it to death. It sort of succeeded. It bled molten tin just fine. However it was hard to cause a traumatic enough wound to cause a bleed out. Ie nearly impossible.

My favorite was the crossbow launched serrated battle disks. They came in projectile and hand weapon varieties. Fun to throw.

My favorite mod that I've made so far is probably... Lord English. Dude has some weird-ass powers, he's a blast to play as.

I made bears trainable

Aren't grizzly bears trainable already?

idk if they are now, but at the time, they were only trainable by the dungeon master who was bugged out.

A quick look at the raws says that grizzly bears are not just trainable, but trainable without a dungeon master (or they would be if the dungeon master were still a thing).

Black bears are not, however, nor are pandas. Just grizzlies. Weird.

That must've been a newer change.

Yeah modding is !!FUN!! I now have steel war rabbits.

Climbing is in.

Funnily enough, I was also wondering how to do climbing in a 3D tile-based environment (though for a turn-based tactical RPG). I figured basically like this, though I had that you'd fall off if hit by an attack with enough momentum and you couldn't jump.

As it turns out we should soon have a way for player fortresses to end besides death and abandonment.

I don't foresee it getting much use compared to the tried and tested "death" technique.

Soon, there will be non-player dwarves that actually live underground.

@Modding: Tufel's bleeding Bronze Collossus was based on a suggestion I made on this thread. Just saying.

And by Homestuck mod, do you mean a race of Alternians that use the caste system to give different blood colors to members of the same species? And maybe they are lead by a Titan/Forgotten Beast working with their Empress?

The Living Tissue Bronze Colossus was an interesting exercise in insanity. It actually made the bastard worse.

^^^Why are you saying that like its new thing? Thats how things worked before he removed Goblin/Elf/Human/Dwarf sites first time xD Aka in the version before 2010 version
