i don't particularly have a grudge against kids. i'm just offering a solution to Lance's problem.

If the game treated blood as a fluid, I'd probably use it to drown my enemies in the blood of my other enemies.

I'd do the same, but first I'd build a giant arena to do so in, and build a giant statue of Avatar Kyoshi to watch over it.

No, this calls for a statue of Armok, God of Blood. Or at least Khorne.

I don't see why Avatar "I bathe in the blood of my enemies" Kyoshi is a bad decision :P

The Demon Emperor is made from pain and fire and brass and radiation and tyrannical grandeur and an aching regret for the luminous being he once was.

These are not things you can simulate with coal.

Your right needs coal and prodigeous amounts of booze.

Is coal even something you can find passively in DF? I would imagine so, but I don't think I've ever seen it mined.

You get veins of bituminous coal. You can then run this through the furnace to produce coke.

at 3 coke to one coal ratio, I might add. It's a pretty sweet deal.

I remember back in my first actually successful fort, I didn't actually realise that you got multiple units, and so I didn't burn much bituminous coal on the basis that you could use charcoal instead and save time.

This lasted about up until I found the DF wiki.

Lance: IIRC Correctly that depends on how you fuel the coke production.

According to the wiki, they've ramped it up to 9 units of coke per unit of coal. The sole difference in production is that if you use a magma smelter you don't need to consume any units to make more, while a regular smelter has a net gain of 8 because you need to burn one to make the rest.

Wow the really made coal worth it. Probably to balance out the adjusted drop rates.

Magma Smelters are such wonderful things that they are worth the insanity to make a 1x12 line for magma forges, smelters, and glass furnaces.
