Well, since Heroes Of Shadow has come out, I've had this character idea bouncing around in my head that's pretty much Kobold Vampire Batman. The Batman part is to keep my monster with a sketchy class from getting killed on sight.
Watched first season of Spice And Wolf in one sitting. Now I really want to play a merchant.
The comics equivalent of PTSD.... After listening to this twice, I kinda really want to play a Norse power metal singer.
Out of curiosity, how would one go about building an effective combination of a Bard and some different sort of melee fighter? A shirt-and-weaponless class would be preferred, but I guess that would be too utopian.
I suppose you could somehow multiclass Bard and Sorcerer and specialize in buffing yourself into a serious warrior, but the really good spells for that would probably be delayed pretty badly through the multiclassing thing and all.
Although, Sublime Chord does get high-level spells... Hmmm...
Edit: Holy crap I wanna play a Seeker of the Song now.

For the character you want, what you need is Exotic Weapon Proficiency (guitar), ranks in Perform (string instruments), and a +1 guitar with an enchantment that allows it to cast sonic spells at will with a perform check. I worked this out with my DM once, but never got to play the character. I was also going to add the Shocking property.
The comics equivalent of PTSD.I was thinking more of the kinda guy who just yells "WHOA-OH-OH-OH-OOOH" the whole time with background instruments magically appearing automatically as he kicks some serious ass with nothing but his fists. But that sounds ridiculously tempting as well!
... Why is there an Exotic Weapon Proficiency (Guitar)? More importantly, where is it? Is it the rumored FLCL Rulebook?
Depends what system you want to play, doesn't it...?
Because Zenith Caste Solars with maxed Performance, Phantom-Conjuring Performance and Demon-Wracking Glory can rock so hard that flames appear around them and demons explode.
And if you play a Midnight Abyssal instead, it isn't limited to Creatures of Darkness.

There's not an Exotic Weapon Proficiency (guitar). There's just an Exotic Weapon Proficiency feat. You can choose pretty much anything. (Otherwise a guitar would just be an improvised club or something.)
Also: If you add the Dancing property you can then have a guitar that plays itself (for 24 seconds).

The comics equivalent of PTSD.I'd love to play a Warforged Super Robot of the laser cannon variety. Question is, how?
...and that's terrible.Wizard and/or cleric will get you the lasers, and an Enlarge Person spell with permanency will get you the extra size.
You are dazzled by my array of very legal documents. The Norse power metal character would work well as a Shadowrun Shaman, although you will need to initiate once to make the music actually do anything.
I would recommend also getting some metamagic feats for your lasers.
Actually Warforged have a racial feature, or something, that lets them swap out parts of their body for magic items. I'm not sure what book it is that explains it, though.
Whatever you do, do not go Wizard unless you've got a plan in mind to offset the spell failure chance.

The comics equivalent of PTSD.For 3.5, Races of Eberron (I think) has the Unarmoured Body feat, which pretty much does what it sounds: you don't have a spell failure chance, you start out with no AC bonus, and you can use clothes you find around the place. So it's utterly useless to anyone but a wizard or sorcerer (or druid, but for them you have the Darkwood Body feat instead).
You are dazzled by my array of very legal documents.Eh, building laser cannons into your arms is still preferable.
The comics equivalent of PTSD.Come to think of it, the DM's Handbook has stats for laser rifles, doesn't it? You could totally do that, and get them enchanted!
(Actually a LARP one, but it'll do.)
Undead Rights Protester.
So thanks to the newest Linkara crossover, I've found myself wanting to play a Druid. Time to look up the best wildshape enhancements.
The comics equivalent of PTSD.You can enchant an Amulet of Mighty Fists, which gives bonuses to Natural Weapons, without buying enhancements. Meaning you can enchant them with Fire, Ice, Lightning or whatever else you see fit.
...and that's terrible.Still waiting for a DM that will let me play a Doppelganger to its fullest extent.
I won't break the game too much! I promise!
The thing about making witty signature lines is that it first needs to actually be witty.I love to play a mermaid in any game.
Logging off, Dr Thinker, a.k.a, Mad WritterAfter listening to this song on a loop, I really want to play a Sorcerer stage magician who still thinks his spells are the product of sleight of hand.
"You have more than enough potential. So tell me what is the one wish that would make your soul gem shine." -Mitt Romney, probablyYou know, I just realized that gray skin, horns, yellow sclera, and no iris are all possible tiefling traits.
The comics equivalent of PTSD.DO IIIIIIIIIIT!
Shadow Run: A Hoodoo* -tradition troll mage who through an accidental spirit pack has survived from the awakening of magic to the 2070s
Dungeons And Dragons: A warforged Artificer obsessed with creating life like him!
