EDIT: already posted

But...I posted it a few posts up from that...
I'm a ghost, you didn't see me.Huey's bit at the beginning of the episode was the funniest part of the episode.
Not to say the episode was bad though. I liked it, anyway. They probably should have spaced it out, though. This one coming right after the last one makes Riley look even more like a moron than he already is.
Cindy's personality took me by surprise.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I think a candy bar hustle is the best idea ever. Also, Young Reezy is one the coolest nicknames. I like the kid being frozen in carbonite covered in chocolate.
I'm glad that they finally did a Scarface-style episode for Riley. Ever since they did his portrait like the Scarface poster in the intro, I've been wanting to see him go all gangster movie on our asses.
In general, it was pretty good. The Lampshade Hanging over Huey's Cassandra Truth proclivity was fun. That said, what the hell happened with Ed 3? If he died there and we don't get another episode dealing with the aftermath, I'm going to be kinda pissed. Ed goes back to the first episode of the first season, and deserves his own (highly symbolic and metaphor-ridden) send-off, instead of being killed as Riley's flunky. What, Thugnificent gets his own episode, but the guy described as the future president doesn't? He's the show's George W. Bush analogue, after all.
"The secret we should never let the gamemasters know is that they don't need any rules." - E. Gary GygaxDon't worry. The W chain blocked the bullet, but the force knocked him into the wall unconscious.
TU NE CEDE MALIS CLASS OF 1971It looked like that could've happened, but they didn't actually give any on-screen resolution to his situation after that. It could've been the bullet went straight through the chain and killed him. Of course, Ed 3 usually packs body armor, too, right?
Riley: "This still feels kinda spoiler-y."
"The secret we should never let the gamemasters know is that they don't need any rules." - E. Gary GygaxYes, remeber the first episode where Riley shot Ed III with a shotgun point blank.
TU NE CEDE MALIS CLASS OF 1971I guess I'm just saying that I want an Ed/Rummy episode this season. They've appeared in episodes, but rarely get many lines. I don't think Samuel L Jackson has even had a guest credit yet.
"The secret we should never let the gamemasters know is that they don't need any rules." - E. Gary GygaxEd isn't dead.
Wikipedia has this for an upcoming episode called It's Goin Down
A terror attack near Woodcrest is imminent, and retired domestic terrorist Huey Freeman is the main suspect. With super-agent Jack Flowers on his tail and Ed and Rummy on the loose, can anyone save the day?
The next episode is going to be funny: Grandad joined a cult. Do you renounce Ice Cube and all his works including Friday?

TU NE CEDE MALIS CLASS OF 1971Zoroark 69: Whew. Thanks for the update.
Unlike Riley, I think that some spoilers are good to have.
Honestly I do typically have faith in McGruder to do things right, but he's not immune to mis-steps. There have been episodes I've genuinely not liked.
Being the last season, I could see the temptation to tie up some character arcs in some goofy-but-time-convenient ways.
And I laughed so hard when I saw the trailer to the next episode. That is some serious Mind Rape.

Haha, she took me by surprise too. I was like damn this lil white girl is a G.
Cindy's been like that since she was introduced in the basketball episode in the 2nd season. Maybe even since the comic strip.
"The secret we should never let the gamemasters know is that they don't need any rules." - E. Gary GygaxI don't think I saw that one.
In the comic Cindy was your average middle class white kid trying to relate with black people by mimicking superficial things which she viewed as signifying black culture, for example by using urban slang, listening to Rap music or watching Good Times. So I would say she's different in the show, though the slang part still sort of holds true somewhat. She seems to associate more with Riley too while in the comics it was almost always Huey(and he was annoyed by it).
Not gonna lie though, she was badass in this episode.

Yeah, in the comic she's something of an idiot. Or at least pretty ignorant. Most of her early appearances are her copying what she sees on UPN or BET so she can be like Huey or Riley, or so she thinks.
In the show she's fucking insane. Screw trying to be black, she's much more a thug than Riley's ever been.
I didn't see most of the episodes in season 2... so I was caught completely by surprise.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I lol'd at Riley's little speech near the end. Was that a Shout-Out to something?
This one was kinda average. Not bad average, just not great. Probably doesn't help that I don't like Riley and I'm not really a fan of gangster movies.
Still, next week looks promising!
when i was reading the comics (and I preferred that depiction of her), i definitely imagined her voice as being your average WASP girl trying to hard. i didn't like the voice I heard in the ep
The sad, REAL American dichotomy"I lol'd at Riley's little speech near the end. Was that a Shout Out to something?"
I don't know if it was, but my sides hurt for a while after hearing it.
FUCK YO HAIRPIECE
And better than thy stroke; why swellest thou then?Next week's episode is gonna be awesome.

Watching it now, I thought it was going to be a Take That! to people who dislike "Modern" Ice Cube, but a Tyler Perry parody is just as good.
Closet DCLAU fan.
Well I definitely see this episode in a new light now.
