SMT: Persona RP Signup and Rules

Is this thing still going on? I'll just make one up for now.

• Name: Cheng Wu

• Age: 16

• Location: Detroit, Michigan

• Appearance: A black fedora, dark long coat, red undershirt, baggy green pants with a lot of pockets, and white and blue Sneakers. Pale white skin-color, straight black hair hair, brown eyes.

• Personality: Justice Arcana. Doesn't like to get into situations when he can stay out of it, but that conflicts with him helping people that are desperately in need. Socially awkward to most people and talks in meta-like first-person.(example: "Expressing excitement of the RP!") Rather than responding directly to comments, he responds by saying what the core of his comments would be. He also acts much more mature for his age and sees himself as the guide for the lost. Always appears to be calm, but has a hidden anger for those who abuse their life.

• Persona: V, Element is Physical and Fire, making him Strong against physical attacks. He is weak against Ice. Combat-type. (Question: Do personas change when the arcanas are maxed?)

• Background: Living in the pits of Detroit, he knew about death and murder from a very young age. He was raised to not meddle in situations unrelated to him, but it conflicts with his morals or wanting to fight for his own and others' freedom with a strong sense of justice. He makes plans of almost every single thing that might happen to him. When Cheng starts seeing the other side, he sees that he'll have to make new plans to help those that are troubled. He is later kidnapped by gangsters because of his strategic abilities. But he even has plans for that...

I also have absolutely no idea if this RP is still active. However, I think that it's a very interesting concept, and thus will create a character profile.

• Name: William Dallenger
• Age: 18
• Hometown: Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
• Appearance: Shaggy red hair, blue eyes, and healthy skin tone. A tad lightweight for a guy (130-ish pounds), and also a bit taller than average. Usual outfit consists of black sneakers, blue jeans, black long-sleeved shirt, orange jacket, and orange-tinted sunglasses.
• Personality: Hierophant Arcana. William was born with Asperger's Syndrome, and while that doesn't always translate to "very studious but a horrible people person", it seems to describe Will to a T. He is quite polite and acts formally even when unnecessary, but tries to avoid anyone that doesn't immediately connect with him.
• Persona: Shiisha (Balanced-type/Null Elec/Strong to Ice/Weak to Fire & Dark)
• Background: After graduating from high school, Will realised he was tired of spending so much time dealing with the stupidity and intolerance present in many of his peers. So, he decided to take a year-long vacation in America before applying to university. This act rather disappointed his parents, and the near-daily guilt trips recieved over the phone have taken a toll on Will's state of mind. When the other side reveals itself to him, Will originally fears for his life, but decides that he could take advantage of the strange event to escape the stress at home. It's quite ironic, how little he knows about what he's getting involved in, and how stressful his future may become...

I like both your characters, and I'm pretty sure lightdarkhero's still posting on TV Tropes. How about you guys PM him?

Wait...people actually wanna join this again?!..I was starting to think maybe I should just pull the plug on this thing, since it didn't really turn out too well, but, if people still want to, I'll reboot this thing.

Now, what I mean is, to be honest, this RP didn't really work out that well, I think because of the rules and plot linearity and such, so...I'm gonna change some things to make this a better RP. Before I go on a giant writing tirade, does anybody got any ideas?

Not all over the world. One central town area. You can be from different parts of the world, but everyone lives in the same town.

The first post has been revised. How does it look? Also, do you think it would be right to bring back the old RP and Discussion thread, or should I remake a new one?

The updated first couple of posts seem fine to me. The list of current characters was a nice touch, as in the off chance other new people join up, they won't have to search to see which Arcana are already being represented.

I wanna ask before I sign up for a persona can I use the Nocturne version of matador?

You are referring to That One Boss, correct? I personally see nothing wrong with it, I mean, he's fire and physical, something neocrimson's character had, and we need a replacement for him. I'm also gonna start harassing my friend to join this again as Shammy.

Then should I change my guy's elements. He's kind of the same thing...

Nocturne Matador as a Persona? Damn...Pretty strong, but, yeah, It's alright. I mean it's still Matador..

Matador was in P4, he's pretty decent at the level you get him. Also, if you bring up Matador's Espada, I am going to make a Bleach reference.

Will make up a profile tomorrow but I am going to try and go for a cheery person with the death arcana that could be interesting.

I am kind of considering it but I've never played Persona [it's on a very long list of awesome games I want to try but have not] and need a bit of inspiration. If the RP is still open, I'll scan through the pages and see what I can find for ideas.

Prior relation to the games is minimal at best...we may have some in-jokes and we may relate to some things like Shadows and the like, but I think I made it pretty distant so people don't have to definitely know every single thing about the past games...So, if you feel like joining, write up a character sheet and we can see!

Here and there are good places to start at. If you want to get into the franchise and all.
