All I know is that I can pen a JPII from the front with my T-34-85 using regular AP (set it on fire for the kill and went on to win Lehvaslaiho’s Medal - T-34-85 stronk).

[up][up] I'm curious... I know the Tier I battles have become full of gold selling AFK bots lately, but how exactly is it that a player can even use a bot in the higher tiers, aside from the typical "enter a match, sit and do nothing, gain 75 EXP" method?

There are much more sophisticated bots that actually play the game for you, and until very recently, WG has been quite lazy at banning the people using them. Though at least on th RU server, WG has finally starting swinging the banhammer at the bots. Or so I'm told by FTR.

Yea someone just needs to write a program to play for them. If they're coding inclined and know how to play v they could probably make a decent one.

[up][up][up][up] You could probably do the same with the Ferdinand. It's a Tiger P hull with a superstructure on top, and so that comes with all the weak spots of the Tiger P, primarily the hull "cheeks".

There are more complex AFK Bots. The most common variety I have seen is they move back and forth, swivel to the side and occasionally turn their turrets. But they never leave their spots in the starting. The other I have seen a couple times just sits there until it either comes under attack or some other thing happens then it starts to run around.

Most bot programs will just follow the general path of the team and engage the nearest enemy tank by charging it. Those idiots who push you out of cover and then Leeroy at three enemy heavies whilst plinking at their UFP? Bots.

I have a pet theory that most lemming trains are actually bot-induced. There's a video on YT - I think it might have been featured on Jingles - featuring a match with only two real players and 28 bots. Hilarity Ensues.

[up][up][up]Perhaps, but a Ferdi wouldn't have burned like that due to its gas-electric drive system (no burny bits up front). Though even those burny bits aren't as burny as my KV series tanks are (fuel tanks right up front = lots and lots of fires).

[up]Don't be so sure. Some people are really that bad, and some bots are good enough to even aim for weak points.

Achae: I want to see that vid.

The first two tiers are still infested with gold sellers and the occasional bots. I have been playing a few low tier matches with a Tier I tank for shiggles. Everyone is pretty evenly matched across the board.

[up][up] Sure, but the thing is everyone says "Ah, the Ferdi's advantage is that it has lots of armor!" when the armor on the Ferdinand sucks. I can't even say its like the KV-5 in that its thick but full of holes, because the rear and side armor are even more terrible unlike on the KV-5.

Your wish is my command.

EDIT: It's from the RU server. Let us not go there. 'Tis a silly place.

It's very hard to find (I'm lucky to see one, very lucky to see two, but usually they're not in the other team at all) and kill a Renault Otsu nowadays...I need one to finally complete Expert: Japan. LOL

I want a KV-5 that is the direction I am going with My KV Line.

I had an usually good match with my AMX 40. I lead the charge bounced several shots, smacked the shit out of a PZ IV G and distracted enemy long enough that my team just mobbed the guys that were smartly ignoring me.

That vid was amusing.

KV-5 is a premium tank — aren't you talking about the KV-4?

KV-4 stronk, grinds fascist boxes under treads and 100 tonnes of slavsteel.

A bit more seriously, it's in many ways a Soviet KT. It's a big, slow, heavily armored box with a high-pen, meh-DPM ~105mm gun (seriously, the stats on the KT's long 105 and the ZiS-24 are almost exactly the same) and a weak LFP that burns when penetrated.

How many KV-1S players are there? I had a game with 13 KV-1S in it today.[lol]

In other news: Ifinally got an ace badge with my 38(t). Took 966 damage to 9 enemies to get that. Now if only I could get one with the Panzer IV.

I'm in the same boat as you entropy, I need to hunt down a Ha-Go, FT AC and FT BS.

[up]I'm guessing that they know that the KV-1S will lose it's 122mm, so the players are enjoying it while they can

Some article on there said they're going to be buffing crew exp gain on premium tanks, as well as improving exp gain for low-tier prems.

A reminder that you can do frankly ridiculous mountain climbing stunts with the new light tanks. Doubt they'd stay that way in the live server though.

There was another code, this time for 3-days prem. I was able to use it, but soon enough it expired. Regardless, I now have 10 days prem free LOL
