oh, I've got the D1. once you get the second engine it's a bit more tolerable. it's still a light that thinks it's a heavy though.
I'm baaaaaaackD1 win not become tolerable. Ever. All this early french is torture. But is steels the will for later tanks.
"See the goal, believe in yourself, ignore the obstacles" - CharodeiReally, the French heavy line isn't much to write home about.
Except when it is. I'm actually pretty fond of the ARL, it does well when handled correctly. The Green Tiger (Tigre?) that follows on, though, is purely gratuitously annoying with the fact you need to get both the tracks and the turret to mount a gun you should already have from the ARL.
Nous restons ici.The ARL is widely criticized for poor soft stats (gun depression, bloom when moving, etc) and the AMX M4 is the only tier 7 heavy with a lower win rate than the Tiger.
Thanks to this game◊ I now have the 85mm for it.
I'm reading this because it's interesting. I think. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, over.EU now have the Brits. In around 29mins server maintenance in SEA will start. After that it's 8.1 for me too. lol
I'm reading this because it's interesting. I think. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, over. How people THINK Westfield works. (As opposed to how it actually works.)
Nous restons ici.Does anyone else think that the stats on the D-10T/S are a bit odd? It does less damage than several smaller guns (see: every single 90mm gun and the 8,8cm L/71 and L/100, all of which) and has 10mm less pen than the it actually had (if my sources are right), seeing as the BS-3 (same gun as a field gun) had 185mm penetration at 100m.
I rarely bother with those stats. All I care about is how accurate and fast is the gun, how strong is the engine, and how good the penetration is. If it meets those quotas, then it's good tank for me (probably why I like the SU-85B so much).
Besides, a few of the tanks don't actually match what's posted on their stats. They may technically be capable of such numbers but end up having poor accuracy, penetration, or whatever. The German T-15 scout tank is a good example; it's poor cannon velocity causes the shell to ricochet frequently, as well as forcing you to not only predict the shell's path but aim above the target as well.
Update is at 50% and it's 1:34AM right now LOL
I'm reading this because it's interesting. I think. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, over.Wow, I'm liking the British tanks! Sure the Medium tank Mk I without upgrades is even slower than the slowest of the French tanks and generally pathetic, but it's got armor and a decent gun. Once upgraded, the gun becomes accurate and powerful, and it seems to be a bit trickier to spot them compared to the other tanks for some reason. The tank directly succeeding it (the Medium tank Mk II) sucks due to terrible armor, a weak gun and poor speed, but the other two on the tree are pretty good in their own. They remind me of the American T2 tanks (particularly the T2 LT and T2 MT), but with less manuverability in exchange for HP and firepower. Certainly looking more attractive than continuing to level up the French Tech tree at this point!
Soviet guns is general tend to underperform compared to others and D-10 is best example of it. In all, Soviet's stats suffer badly ingame, and it's long from Soviet biased. If anything, it's American biased now.
"See the goal, believe in yourself, ignore the obstacles" - CharodeiI wonder what the British TD and SPG will be like when they're released sometime down the road...
Am I awake or do I dream? The strangest pictures I have seen. The only thing holding the early Brits down is bad load times and bad accuracy. Only one of those counts in every situation.
Nous restons ici.My team just won because we captured the base even though it was 0-12 to them. I was the last casualty though, the first (and only) among those capturing that was killed.
I'm reading this because it's interesting. I think. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, over. This british low level crap is sooooo painful to use. They have HORRIBLE guns.
"See the goal, believe in yourself, ignore the obstacles" - CharodeiI can't play. I selected my Mk I and since then, WoT has been stuck on "Loading Modules", even when I restart.
Someone had the same problem, he fixed it by reinstalling the game.
I'm reading this because it's interesting. I think. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, over.Odd. I'm finding their guns to be slow to aim, but decent in damage and penetration.
hi guys :D I just got into World of tanks. Its really Fun! I got me a Renault, and a T-46 (working my way to a T-50-2, gotta go fast and all :P) as well as working on some british tanks as well.
I like how so far all the british tanks I've played have had a multi-loader thus far, rather like the french line up. however, I'm not sure if I really want to go all the way with getting the french T Ds, they seem rather niche to me and if I'm going to get into this game alot, I'd prefer a more mobile tank like the bat... I dunno really.
definitely going to get the t-50-2 though.
Add me on skype! Dynamod1990Just don't rush to it first thing. It's a money sink.
Kinda pissed that they don't have a direct 8.1 DL up yet.
Getting the T-50 is hard though. If all you want is speed, the T-34's predecessors can give you that (BT-2, BT-7, A-20).
I now have two Tier 5s, having able to afford the Pz III/IV earlier. lol
Playing with the French Tier 2 TD right now. After I get the Tier 3 TD, I have now unlocked all Tier 3s (except for all SP Gs, besides the Stm Pz. II).

The D1 is VERY SLOW. Good thing I was a bit lucky with the maps (i.e. usually in Himmelsdorf) so I got the next tank at almost the same rate.
