I don't think this would be a bad idea of a food.
Any other opinions?

Anywho, the rum needs to be warm to get the right vapour concentration for fire. If you just have the wafer on top of the ice cream, you might try experimenting to see if it will work but if you try freezing them it seems both unlikely and also just not that nice to eat. It will be a cold soggy wafer.
I hate it when people say this to me. Please don't do it again.
That said, I fear that would be the result, altough of course there are people in this world who would enjoy that. The warm rum might be poured on the wafer-on-ice-cream as a topping, and then set on fire. But, otherwise, what would you do with Storh and Manner wafers?

'''YOU SEE THIS DOG I'M PETTING? THAT WAS COURAGE WOLF.Cute, isn't he?I was wondering where you got this project from. Taken up a hobby?
You could do the fire thing like you said if you do it like a baked alaska where you have your ice cream between the wafers and then you add the rum last minute and then set it on fire. Now maybe you could have the wafers predipped in rum so that they get some of the flavour and may have a good chance of burning off a bit if you add later. check.
My thought is that if you go for that, try adding something like bits of toffee on top of the wafers. Then when you add the rum and alight it, the toffee will melt a little. That way if the rum doesn't flavour the wafer, the toffee might and the toffee could be a bit of a heat sink that allows you to have that hot on cold flavout.
OK, specifics.
- What proof is the rum? Dark or light? Can you pick from the entire Stroh range?
- What are the wafers like? I was imagining a cracker like slice but come to think of it they might be like what I merely call "pink wafers" which are several waifs stacked on top of each other and held together by a filling.
I haven't been given specifics. It's my girlfriend who told me; Mann wafers and Stroh. Now go and surprise me.
'''YOU SEE THIS DOG I'M PETTING? THAT WAS COURAGE WOLF.Cute, isn't he?Searching around they look just like pink wafers save for the pink part. I think that should be the main structure. You could try making a sauce from sugar rum and something to contrast the hazelnut in the wafers (orange?). Coat the biscuit in that and let it cool to form a glaze.
So I was told to come up with an innovative product based on Stroh, the rum, and Manner wafers, which are... some kind of wafers they don't sell in Spain. Apparetly both products are classics.
And, well, since I have no idea where to find the products to try it, I could only wildly speculate, and this is what my speculation generated...
So. Would this be utterly disgusting, or would it be palatable? Can anybody please suggest anything? Anything at all would do, I tend to go Bat Deduction on these and come up with lots of stuff. Could you tell whether what I come up with is edible?
Should perhaps I post this in another section?
