Can't see him as Jon Snow either. Friggin' Kit Harington, making me unable to imagine a Jon Snow who doesn't have the expression of a confused puppy at all times.

What?
GRRM actually uses those images for his chapters. The same artists also depict the perfect Tywin Lannister◊.
I only imagine the TV show characters on certain people like Osha.
Jon Snow is not one of them. Mostly because it's pointed out by Tormund that Jon Snow doesn't have facial hair, Bran points out he has brown hair and gray eyes, his hair is straight and the official artwork I've seen makes him look more like a young Christian Bale.◊

"You can't change the world without getting your hands dirty."Because of the show I actually associate Tywin with Charles Dance.
That and a bald guy with sideburns isn't really intimidating to me.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Same to an extent, though for me he's more of a young Christopher Lee.
There is no beginning. There is no end. There is only... Hooty.I don't imagine the actual Kit Harington, just someone who always has the same gormless expression.

Kit Harrington, at least looks-wise, was not the right choice for Jon Snow.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.
I agree. That vacuous look he has on his face, combined with his hair, makes him pretty hard to take seriously.
Charles Dance doesn't really fit GRRM's description of Tywin. I pictured Tywin as both taller and broader than Dance, with more of a Heroic Build. Also I imagined him to be more scowelly, rather than Dance's perpetually annoyed look.
What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly.Charles Dance does pull off the "old, experienced lord" well, though.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.He's definitely "warmer" than the Twyin of the books. Oddly, someone who I think looks a lot more like book!Tywin (and is a total asshole to boot) is King George from Once Upon a Time.
I actually really like Kit's take on Jon. I like his emphasis on the "gloomy Northman" part of the character. If I was going to cast someone who looks more like the book art, I guess I'd go for Joe Dempsie or Bradley James (with dyed hair in both cases).
Bradley James is too old to play a 17-19 year old. Honestly make him grow his beard out, dye his head and facial hair auburn and you have the perfect Edmure instead.
Joe Dempsie is too much the perfect Gendry to look like Jon Snow. He just needs to look more irritated like Stannis.
Also I maintain that Renly should've been played by Tom Welling. He'd make a great young Robert Baratheon as well.
Ben Barnes, I think, looks like the perfect Jon Snow as well as the perfect Theon Greyjoy◊.

"You can't change the world without getting your hands dirty."Eh, not so sure with Theon. He's too pretty-boy to be Theon.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.But Theon is supposed to be a pretty boy. : V
But again Theon Greyjoy and Jon Snow look awfully alike in a lot of art I see of them.
Jon Snow's mother was Lyanna Stark and his father was Euron/Victarion/Balon/Aeron.

"You can't change the world without getting your hands dirty."That picture of Theon makes him look a lot older than I imagined.
Doing some research on the ironborn and I just found out one of Balon's many titles is "The Greyjoy". lol
"You can't change the world without getting your hands dirty."Just found this.
Daenerys is Dorothy.
Conan's first story:
[[quoteblock]] Know, O prince, that between the years when the oceans drank Atlantis and the gleaming cities, and the years of the rise of the Sons of Aryas, there was an Age undreamed of, when shining kingdoms lay spread across the world like blue mantles beneath the stars…. Hither came Conan, the Cimmerian, black-haired, sullen-eyed, sword in hand, a thief, a reaver, a slayer, with gigantic melancholies and gigantic mirth, to tread the jeweled thrones of the Earth under his sandaled feet.
Daenerys is Conan, I suppose.
In some versions of this tale and legend, La Llorona will kidnap wandering children who resemble her missing children, or children who disobey their parents. People who claim to have seen her say she appears at night or in the late evenings from rivers or lakes in Mexico. Some believe that those who hear the wails of La Llorona are marked for death, similar to the Gaelic banshee legend [according to whom?]. She is said to cry, "ay mis hijos!" "oh my children!"
oh God, LS would creep me the fuck out if she was based on La Llorona.

"You can't change the world without getting your hands dirty."FTFY Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.
Good thing she's dead, then.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Huh. Just thought of something.
If the dragon is taken to be non-literal then Jon Snow will be resurrected using Shireen.
But also I wanna talk about Theon and Stannis. Theon's new chapter has the ravens nudging Stannis into sacrificing Theon to the Old Gods by beheading him in front of the heart tree. As we know there's definitely something magical going on with the blood sacrifices to the heart trees.
So if Jon Snow is Ice and Fire then perhaps he'll need both Theon and Shireen to resurrect him back to life as AA.
Although I still hold onto my personal theory that LS will resurrect Jon Snow. Or at the least crown him.

"You can't change the world without getting your hands dirty."
Wasn't the implication that Bran was making the ravens say that? I think there are a few moments in ADWD that are implied to have Bran spectating.

Yeah and Bran has an investment in Jon Snow. And I do believe that Bloodraven has an investment in Jon Snow too as he calls him the king through Mormont's Raven.
Remember Bloodraven is an actual Targ loyalist and is also one of the guys that can see the future through the weirdwood.
You also have to factor in that Shireen says she dreamed a dragon was coming to eat her.
Jon Snow will be resurrected as a soul fusion of Theon, Shireen, Ghost and Jon Snow
I think it's implied in the beginning of Mercy I that Bran is watching Arya in her dreams as well.
"You can't change the world without getting your hands dirty."But what if Theon pulls a Heroic Sacrifice? He's technically the son of a king.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Son of a former King anyway.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's Play
Interesting.
I do know that Daenerys is in part based off of a lot of Stuart princesses according to GRRM.
Also I really like this picture of Jon Snow.◊ Although this might be a little too handsome to be Jon Snow and closer to Theon Greyjoy before he became Reek.
Something I've noticed though and I don't know if it's the TV show's fault but in 95% of the artwork I see, Jon Snow is depicted with black hair. Although that's kind of how I imagine him in my head too, he actually has brown hair.
