Claymore Manga/Anime

This encounter with Priscilla doesn't speak to me so much as another encounter with a Boring Invincible Villain. Her state as it is reminds me of the state of Black Waltz 3 during the battle after it is much worse for wear.

She's not doing anything so much as stating her biological urges as an Awakened Being, and will probably not be that difficult in comparison. The last battle with her was the climax.

This is the coup de'grace.

She still defeat Cassandra in a very short time and Claire is exhausted, so I don't know. Plot-wise, you should be right.

I'm still not sure if she defeated Cassandra or just took over the body from the inside out, Alien-style.

New chapter! Are we doing this? Is it really happening? It's happening! All that foreshadowing and development of Claire's Power Copying has lead to this, I'm sure, so I don't feel unsatisfied at all.

Any bets on how hard Priscilla is going to freak out upon seeing Teresa?

Another month of waiting...

If Pricsilla somehow doesn't die after Teresa takes over the fight, then I swear to god, I will drop this manga. This a getting ridiculous.

Holy crap, Teresa's gonna wreck stuff again!!! And I salute thee, Chronos and Octavia. It's kinda sad, seeing them as mindless parts of Priscilla now.

Not just Teresa, a controlled awakened Teresa; this is going to be awesome.

I'm pretty keen for this. I've been waiting for a long time for 1/4 Claymore to reveal their true Magikarp Power potential. Also, I didn't think that was actually Teresa at the end but symbolic of what Claire is turning into, which would just be Teresa's awakened form.

Okay, this is acceptable. But after this, Priscilla just has to 'fucking die.

How did I not manage to see this coming? Though it became pretty clear once they started talking about "another self" inside Clare. But yeah, this had better be the end of this fight.

Holy shit, it actually is Teresa. And I don't think she even needs to awaken.

This is going to be fun...

I must admit I didn't expect to see Teresa make a full-on reappearance in the series since the point she died...and even last chapter, I was wondering if Clare's awakening would just take after Teresa in form and perhaps with some "lingering memories" sort of thing. But yeah, it's her, fully lucid and in the flesh (in a manner of speaking). Perhaps it helps that the part of her Clare saved was the head.

If the organisation were still around, they'd be pretty happy if this turned out to provide a consistent way to control the warriors' awakenings. Then again, if the "awakening" of a half-warrior is simply a resurrection of the one whose flesh was used, it's not really useful unless they find someone powerful enough in the first place.

Really good chapter, but I wish it was longer.

So I'm guessing the whole "2 people sharing one mind" the organization kept trying to perfect was foreshadowing to this. The twin goddesses as well for that matter.

New chapter. Some things I didn't expect, but nothing I disliked.

Ha ha ha fuck yes. Best Chapter Ever. One more serving of ass-kicking please.

Some weird pacing, but neat all in all. I want more.

It felt a bit too much of a sidetrack to me. "Here, have a random side fight for historical reasons while the Big Bad is chilling off to the side!" Getting some closure for Cassandra was nice, though.

I'm rather surprised that the author really went with the rather overly-convenient route of having all the awakened beings neatly killed off by Priscilla, leaving no loose ends afterwards. Cassandra's exit was more interesting though.

And so, Cassandra finally returned to the land of the dead. However, her soul's more at ease than when she was offed by Effing Roxy. That was a nice side battle.

Chronos and Octavia also regained their senses. I honestly thought that they were all mindless meat puppets after Priscilla absorbed them, but all Teresa had to do was attack their pride, and snap! They got willpower on their side! Priscilla tore them apart without trouble, though.

And now, the main event. No surprise attacks will save you this time, Prissy... SO STAND UP AND FIGHT!

Aww, I wanted Octavia to survive the manga. She was great.

summary : friendship moment + Teresa being Teresa. I like that the 7 and Raki kill Priscilla, and that Teresa is just cleaning up a powerful monster. Their battle feels less pointless.

Hm, I wonder what Clare thought of Tabitha...

Don't worry, Helen. Teresa has this. Her speed's so top notch, it makes Miria and Hysteria look like chumps.

Gather round, folks. Won't see another battle like this ever again.
