Yeah, though most of the stuff for sale is stuff they've had for sale forever coz they can't sell it. They've yet to have anything really interesting on sale :/

[up] What flaws are we talking about?

Acquired some botcon/tfcc stuff.

Got a Battletrap. Man is he nice. Another legit good win for this great mold. The wheel coverings are so much easier to move around than Springer and Sandstorm. Real happy with him.

Got a Krok and Nightracer. Nightracer is good, nice color scheme, even if the mold isn't the best (woulda been cool to have a Wipe Out made out of it, not that Generations and TR Necro aren't pretty good). Krok though, came with 2 right legs. A real shame seeing as he's so hard to come by.

I picked up Botcon Double Punch. Man is he beautiful. I love neon colors, and that pink and orange and blue are so so lovely. Very stiff, I love him. Love the mold. Hoping the shoulders don't break, I don't have the tools to redo them.

I also picked up Nitro Zeus. He's pretty solid. The transformation's ambitious... but can't really get around some issues (the paneling stuff together isn't that great). Still he's got 2 good modes, and It's cool he was a Titan Master. Makes me think that Cogman was supposed to jack his body at some point in the final act.

Dinobots, Terrorcons & Pedacons? Color me intrigued. I'm not gonna be able to go be more info on these toys would be great.

Also I recently bot (heh) an Animated Skywarp from Ebay in nice condition. I gotta say the Seeker molds are fucking great, it makes me want to get not just Starscream but the rest of his clones.

[up][up] Preview teaser of Hun Gur and Sludge, just artwork

Predaking Mock Up, just to help give an idea for its size rather than its design.

I could never spring for that Skywarp, couldn't get past the smug face.

[up] Neat, but I'lm holding out for images when the con drops. "Celebrated Combiner Wars chapter of the Prime Wars Trilogy" Keep telling yourselves that Hasbro.

I think it's fair to say that people have a lot of thoughts regarding The Transformers: The Movie. And those thoughts usually boil down to:

  • "It's an underrated epic of its kind that wasn't afraid to make bold moves!"
  • "It's a shameless cashgrab that shouldn't have the following it has."

Bob Chipman settles the score and decides to question once and for all whether The Transformers: The Movie is...really that good.

Holy shit this video is 48 minute long.

Like I was willing to give it a try, but fuck that. No man should endure Moviebob this long.

http://news.tfw2005.com/2017/09/09/hascon-2017-awards-dinner-panel-reveals-348567

New reveals at the 2017 awards dinner yesterday:

  • Deluxe Moonracer (New mold, but compatible with CW figures.)
  • Deluxe Rippersnapper
  • Voyager Hun-Gurrr (Seemingly a test shot, at least with the head)
  • Optimus Primal with Optimal Optimus armor (triple changer, core robot forms hoverboard)

Moonracer's exactly what the Victorion limbs should've been (IMO). Hun-Gurr and Optimus Primal's the only disappointments so far (Hun-Gurr seems to be a remold of Silverbolt. The small forelegs doesn't seem to be helping especially compared to his artwork. As for Primal, while perhaps still not final, the fact that the core robot transforms into a vehicle for the armor to ride on is jarring).

And lastly the new inductees:

  • Favorite Transformer: G1!Galvatron
  • Favorite Movie Character: Barricade
  • 2017 Toy of the Year: Trypticon

Also, Susan Blu And Lorenzo Di Bonnaventura are inducted as well (With Susan being given two TR!Arcee figures - One in each mode and Lorenzo given both Masterpiece figures of Optimus and Bumblebee).

EDIT: New in-hand pics of the New Dinobot combiner Volcanicus prototype.

Ooh, Optimus Primal

Also that Dinobot combine's silhouette is terrible. Especially the shoulders. Reminds me of FOC Bruticus and his limbs hanging at the end of tiny sticks coz the torso figure is too small.

I'm not going to comment too much on the Combiner as it is still in the proto stage. But I aim concerned about the the thighs. From the front they seem fine, but from behind it's seems as if it's Grimlock's tiny thighs are pulling double duty. Sludge's limb mode was a concern but apparently you cans swing the dino head/neck around to clean it up. Also, is it me or are the combiner feet too small? Probably gonna end up waiting for Perfect Effect for Combiner Hands/Feet, especially if it requires the PM gimmick.

Any Dinobot combiner is better than the one we got before.

[up][up]

Yeah. That dude seems pretty awful.

What about this guy?

Also, why is it there's never been a Dinobot combiner? When you think about it, it made total sense to have one back in the days of G1. Especially with their rivalry with Devastator and all.

I'm loving Volcanicus! It's so great that they finally decided to create a Dinobot Combiner (Sure there was Grimstone, but that wasn't a real combiner). Never imagined it would take this long for the Transformers franchise to give it a try, in the toyline, toon, or comics, but better late than never.

[up]The Dinobots being rivals to the Constructicons? I've always thought that the Predacons were their rivals (As the Constructicions were more Omega Supreme's, based from what I remember from the G1 cartoon.)

[up][up][up] Yep, that's the new Dinobot combiner.

He looks alright.

[up] Marvel comics was the Predacons Vs. Dinobots rivalry, the cartoon seemed to have Predaking and Skylynx rivalry, and the Dinobots did have a rivalry with the constructions (they fought Devastator in his debut and fought him again in the movie).

And for me, it's not surprising that the Dinobots took this long, especially with Grimstone already have come out. Combiners in general took a while to manifest, and now that we've got a good series of Combiners we naturally got the Dinobots.

I never was a fan of the dinobots as a combiner team. Doubly so after Combiner Wars where everyone and their mom became combiners and it sort of made the gimmick stop being special.

I liked them being solidly themed without being combiners.

I'll admit though, the combiner gimmick doesn't seem to detract from them too much unlike Prowl or Optimus, or Ratchet. I guess outside of the Dinobots's scale, but honestly they were probably going to be scaled like that anyway.

So for the toys:

Man Rippersnapper looks good. Very nice mold, and I hope the colors can pop like that card art. I love the hands.

Hun Gurr: He looks ok. Hopefully he looks better in hand. Apparently he's a new mold even though he looks like Silverbolt. The arms have to be a reuse though.

Moonracer: Promising. Will have to see in full

Optimus and Rodimus: I need to see reviewers show them off. They've got so many good and bad design elements to them.

Starscream: Still not feeling him, sorry Screamer.

Dreadwind and Darkwing look A+ though. Hoping someone transformers Dreadwing correctly at some point because those combined images do not inspire confidence. Still on the jet and robot modes alone they're awesome.

In for Primal.

I still can't believe they got away with naming a character Hot Rod.

I mean, did nobody catch that? At all.

It's a good thing he can throw guys helluva far....though that doesn't help him for the whole killing Optimus Prime thing.

It makes sense as a car name, though. It doesn't come off that bad in that context, so it was easy to get away with.

Also, as a huge pervert, I never even thought about that, and I catch onto this stuff very often(as well as made bad jokes). Sooooooo... it clearly wasn't as bad as it could've been to some. Most likely why it worked.

@Badguy: He's both. Just like the original Masterpiece Rodimus. Small Hot Rod is the car, combined with the trailer to make him Rodimus Prime with added Matrix storing abilities.
