I don't have The Hub, but I'm looking at the forums in TFW2005 and they apparently didn't show that sneak peek of the next Transformers show they talked about?
Bummer.

Why riot? We still haven't even gotten a trailer from Word of God about this new one.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceNo, but there was an ad saying there would be a sneak peek during the marathon. But then apparently, there was another one not mentioning the sneak peek.
Hmmm.
Regardless, the lineup seemed kinda lackluster for the 30th anniversary of everyone's favorite robots in disguise.
I only bothered to catch the G1 movie anyways.
This had me thinking: They aired the G1 TF movie over and over, why have they not aired or gave thought about brodcasting G1 MLP movie: Escape from Castle "Somebadplaceidk"?
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceWho here hopes for some good human villains vs Autobot action in the next cartoon?
Squads of super terrorists fighting the Autobots is fine. But an elite super soldier team of said terrorists fighting the Autobots would be even better provided that the humans engage in some CQC.
Meh, not that into it because it'd look cartoony watching humans punch robots several times their sizes.
Honestly the franchise sort of has a mixed success history with human villains. You often wind up with villains who either pose no threat, or who are so successful the only explanation is that they are Villain Sues (Looking at you Silas and MECH).
Not to say there's never been good human villains, but its always a tricky proposition.
I remember liking Meltdown in Animated; and I thought Slo-Mo and the Angry Archer were entertaining, if not particularly threatening.
I picture one guy wielding two super sharp machetes and uses them to hack off a Cybertronian's hand.
And possibly jumping on the face and proceeding to go Wolverine.
That would just raise so many questions. Like what the machetes are made off.
Also considering the length of a Machete (That somehow cuts metals) and the size of a cybertronian, it wouldn't be a terrifying weapon. It'd be like using a pairing knife or something. It'll hurt but not kill anyone.

I wonder how the Vok compare to Unicron. Or whatever happened to them.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyYou know something I never got it is why are some Functions listed as the Job and others as the Activity?
Examples include: Interrogator (Beastbox) and Interrogation (Laserbeak), Spy (Buzzsaw) and Espionage (Bumblebee), Scout (Hound) and Reconnaissance (Gears), etc.

Maybe Activities are just a Transformer's hobby?
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatEh.. I'm probably nitpicking over nothing its just other then doing it to differentiate them it appears some functions are written in a Rule of Cool way. Case in point: Flamethrower (Slag) and Firestorm Trooper (Cindersaur) who are obviously both just the guy who burns enemies regardless of what the "title" of their Function is.

If it were me doing the job descriptions for the profiles, I'd have all the Autobots have non-violent-sounding jobs or titles, while Decepticons, even ones with the same basic jobs, all would have violent or war-type titles.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatThat would explain why there are no G1 Decepticon Medics…. though when it comes to Transformers the roles of Medic/Engineer/Scientist tends to blur.
I think the closest the Decepticons have to a medic is Scalpel, which should tell you a lot about how they treat wounded.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatSo…
Is anyone following the Transformers panel at SDCC 2014?
Yeah.
The animation for the new show looks TERRIBLE.
It's reminding me of Energon. I don't like remembering Energon.
EDIT: Looking at more of it, It's not quite that bad. Though not fond of the cell shading they go for, it's alright.
So we know Blue guy with a Samurai Helmet looking head is Strongarm◊.
Guy in red◊ is Sideswipe.
And the evil Dinosaur thing is Underbite, a Decepticon◊.

Yeah, the animation's kinda reminding me of Knights of Sidonia if anyone's watching that. It's 3D, but it has a 2D vibe to it.
Also, I think they said Strongarm is supposed to be a girl.
…
Yeah, I know what you're thinking, "Hmm, "Strongarm" sounds a little too masculine to be a girl's name".

Bumblebee's new car mode reminds me of a Vehicon◊.
There's been a lot of back and forth on that. Don't know yet, haven't heard from anyone AT the SDCC on the matter. Considering she turns into a Jeep, has no feminine build◊, I guess if she is a female, props for breaking gender stereotypes. A long way from Prime Arcee who practically looked like a model. But knowing hasbro, IMHO Strongarm is a dude (And the much mentioned "Elite Guard Recruit" of the team)

I think THAT's our Fembot. Long hair (?)....◊ (Maybe Fixit, who had been name dropped as a character ?)
Even in Death, Optimus manages to change his body◊.
Orange one is most likely the team Minicon◊. (Actually reading some more, THIS is Fixit)

Strongarm has a bit of a feminine look to the face to me.
And yea, hood/roof seams, shape of the chest and shoulders, general contours of the vehicle... I think you're right, I think the toy for BB's new car actually is a slightly retooled and repainted vehicon. That's hilarious.
I like the look. It's weird how everything seems well incorporated except the legs. I worry for the underside.
