Like I said depends on if my insurance covers it. I'm technically on Medicaid right now, and the VA stuff (but the VA does fuck-all, so I won't bother with that)
I dunno, the real challenge I have is opening up and talking about what bother me. I tend to bottle it up until it explodes in a drunken frenzy of incoherent ranting and raving. Which doesn't help.
Euo, sometimes it's not cheaping out, it's patients (me) saying "I'm TOTALLY better now"
and being TOTALLY WRONG about that.
-me-
Hi ho, hi ho, it's back to therapy I goooooo
DoodlesI saw a counselor at college for a few weeks. It ended when we were getting to the end of the "free to any student" number of sessions and he said, "I think you're okay enough to not need to bother with further sessions."
Fresh-eyed movie blogWell finally cleared up the fuckery with my password at work and got my w-2s. Going to file me taxes in my coming days off, that way hopefully I'll the refund at the end of Feb to early March. Then I'm going to look into getting a car.
So apparently there's an expectation at my job that everybody comes into work for about 4 hours every Saturday from the start of January till about halfway through February. Which, I knew it was an option, but I didn't realize it was an expectation.
So here I am. At work. On a Saturday. Honestly, I'd much rather work late every day during the week than come in on the weekend.
Of course, we're all salaried.
I think I found a somewhat better way to manage my depression. Yesterday I was felling bummed out, so rather than crack open an alcoholic beverage I cracked open my Dungeon Master's Guide and started rolling on the Random Dungeon Generator tables. Feel much better now, but I have like 5 dungeons I dunno if I'm gonna use or not, lol.
Well, you never know when you might need 'em. Spontaneous game nights can happen. Or, you know, gastroenteritis could floor somebody you know who GMs so they need cover. *shrugs*
Well that and doing up dungeons and enemies is both time consuming and a bit of fun.
Who watches the watchmen?Turns out little Miss Phoebe is not quite so little now. When we first got her she was a bit smaller then Taggert. Supposedly she was done growing. Not so apparently. Now she is roughly the same size possibly slightly taller.
Her ear fringes, "pantaloons", and other fluffy bits are coming in quite nicely.

<squirt-squirt spritzer-squirt> Bad Mark. A square on the calendar is no reason to turn bone-headedly drunk and fail your own resolution.
One day shouldn't mess a year up, no?
Oh man, it looks like my employer withheld only about a tenth of the income tax I should've paid this year...
Fresh-eyed movie blogPara: Same here. My tax bill is not exactly what I wanted to see. They do it to make your paychecks look bigger.
Who watches the watchmen?I'm gonna file my taxes on Wed, probably. Gonna use the refund to buy me a car.
Man, I was feeling down earlier, but I've been listening to Blutengel for the last hour and... goddamn it's like an aural drug. I mean I'd liked a few of their songs, but looking into them more, goddamn...

In case I never actually told anyone, because it didn't actually get rolling until now: My best friend is getting married in June!
She's picked out her dress and the bridal party has picked out the bridesmaid dresses, which are very nice. However, they are also expensive, even the lower ones. And I decided to pay for my sister's since she doesn't have a job and the delivery date is several months from now, due to summer being the busiest wedding season.
I can afford this expense, but payday cannot come fast enough. Having $4 in my account is not fun.

Lerad: Ouch no it isn't fun. Hang in there.
Who watches the watchmen? One year ago, I had an amazing V day. It was the island in the sea of sadness.
This year...back to my old ways. Drinking my real Valentine - vodka.
Randomness: I forgot how good Shaka Zulu was as a series. Sure, the framing devices used are as hokey as hell and a few of the editing decisions are getting dated, but I forgot just how many heavyweights were in the cast (ear honey). And, I can't believe I forgot that soundtrack. Earwormsville.
Thanks, Netflix. You darling.

Relevant for this thread. :P
I called in sick because I'd gotten to sleep at 12 after a late class and I'd only slept a few hours, in addition to the rest of the sleep debt I've accumulated over the week. I knew I was going to just drop things and wander around in a daze, which is not very good at an art store with glass bottles and the like. My tax refund will make up for it.
Money problems are tenuously solved. I still can't buy anything fun until my next paycheck. Sigh.
But one of the fun things I'm going to do is attend a Tagalog class specifically for heritage learners who grew up around the language but no longer speak it. I finally have the time and money to start reconnecting to my culture and it's going to be an awesome addition to my acting resume.
Just got a kickass HP Lovecraft book and a little Harley Quinne figurine from my sister for my birthday today.
Oh Happy Birthday dude.
The Missus and I have a Tea Date with another work friend early next month. :3
Who watches the watchmen?Thine sister knows thee well, mate. Happy birthday.
Man, day after my birthday I get a damn fever. Dunno what plague has gripped me but it had better clear up by Tues because I have a game of D&D.
Seconded! Heck, anything less than six months is greater beings (either health services or insurance agencies) cheapening out by putting the bottom line before patients. (On this, I am not afraid to admit that I'm covered in biases.)
