@Teuf: I've looked at PayPal & First Data, but they have two strikes against them: most jobs I qualify for are service industry related and/or don't pay enough.

I envy my dad. He works for the Archdiocese in this beautiful little office in a beautiful neighborhood. It doesn't pay great and comes with its own headaches, but man. So pleasant. Nobody's there for their egos. And he gets all the Catholic holidays off.

Edit: Stupid CamelCase names.

The problem in Omaha is apparently the term "entry level" means a year or more of experience. A problem my wife kept running into head first. You almost have to have one of those positions. Sadly it seems you need to know someone to get into a job.

If worst comes to worst you could always do Security Guard work. Flex/Temp Officers for the various guard companies can rake in some good money plus lots of the OT. You will be tired and work crap loads of hours but you will be paid well for it.

Well, they offered me the job & I took it. The money'll be good, at least. We'll see what happens next.

Yeah, "knowing someone" seems to be the key. Every time I've gotten as far as an interview, it was because I knew somebody. In this case, besides being a temp here, a director I interviewed with is the father of a woman who works for my dad.

Scion: Grats on the job hopefully it isn't too bad for you. All of my long term jobs were because I knew someone who worked there.

I get the feeling, based off of how batfuck insane it was at work, tomorrow and Sun are going to suck big, floppy donkey dick. I swear it was damn near the battle of Helm's Deep in there today.

Upside is I'm getting some bourbon for the 4th after work Sun.

Thank god with my job tomorrow will be quiet...aside from the hats shooting fire works off that sometimes get way to close or even hit buildings. And the god damned fire balloons/lanterns.

Happy 4th Cobbies.

Spent some decent time with my folks. My dad however is getting loonier. He is going to be "one of those" cranky and unfriendly old men.

I'm going to a general audition for six short plays in San Francisco. It's a non-union stipend gig, but even a small stipend would help me out and at least I can put it on my resume.

Oh, no. -_- Is your remaining pocket wolf OK? (Well it'll be a while before any shock subsidies, but you know what I mean.) Good job with trying the common sense thing; not your fault that Nick-bastard obviously encouraged that hound to body-slam people-shapes, too. -_-

Bastards like him shouldn't be allowed near any puppies. Ever. sad

My other dog is ok. The article is the cliff notes version it doesn't mention me beating, kicking, eye gouging ripping at ears, tripping to rips its tail out by the root, and even trying to strangle it before I was forced to give up with the death of my dog and flee with the other. It had her by the scruff which was loose and fluffy she was screaming in anger, snarling, and fighting the whole way and fought like the pocket wolf she was to the bitter end. When he let go of her scruff when he pulled her to the ground and let go he went for her chest and she was gone mercifully quick. My other dog was brave to. He ran to the side of the dogs head growling and biting at its face, eyes, ears, and throat while I tried to batter this monster into submission. But a little Chihuahua is sadly only a wolf in spirit.

The dog came out of some shadowed area in some bushes. It ambushed us. I screamed until I had no air left in my lungs and was hyper ventilating and ran with almost no air left to breath in my lungs. I made it inside a nearby apartment building and pounded on the first door screaming for help. They answered and I told them what happened they called the police and hesitated all but a second and took Taggert and I in and looked after us until the ambulance, animal control, and police arrived. The whole struggle didn't last more then two minutes from start to me getting inside.

I can't stop crying and sleep early was fits and starts of an hour two at most. My wife is beside herself with grief between fits of tackling tasks to distract herself and make changes so the apartment has minimal visual reminders unless we want them. She is out for her pound of flesh not in the dangerous physical sense mind you.

The dog has been seized by the Humane Society and before even 3pm the case was with their main case worker. He said he was going to add a charge of harboring a dangerous animal to the list of charges and they are going to ask a judge that the dog be impounded until trial. Chances are very high the dog will be destroyed and this guy will be heavily fined at a minimum. On top that we are getting the charge for Foxxy's cremation and urn and other remembrance stuff, plus legal and all that.

My poor brave loyal little Foxxy. I am exhausted and heart broken.

[up]I also feel bad for the dog who was turned into that monster who attacked you and yours, you know. Once upon a time, there was a big-nosed, very curious puppy. Until Nick. That poor hound also got mauled, if mainly psychologically. And, over its two to four years. There was only ever going to be one ending to that story. -_-

And, the expected easy kill? Turned into a difficult fight... then became a nightmare of sirens, other loud noises, strangers and what will be confusion before a needle. It shows just how badly that poor dog's psychology was twisted: no sane dog attacks a pack of three. Whatever their sizes. -_-

Your warrior did well. Foxxy did the job, with the help of the pack, sure... But, reminding big, lost dogs that they have to work hard when they pick a fight is what pocket wolves do. smile

I hope the bastard gets done for reckless endangerment on top of everything else. The neighbourhood also needs to know: the more around who know, the more people won't let him near another puppy to abuse into being time-bomb dangerous. *steams*

PS: Dying trying protect the pack? Can't get more wolf. smile
