I say since it's coming to TBS and is basically a more adult Regular show, I say it has a good chance.
"We be we baby!"While this is obviously going to be more adult in nature, lets hope it doesnt decide to go too extreme. Dont think thats a problem though, considering that Quintel's very first short (Naive Man from Lolliland) was pretty much G-Rated, and even 2 in the AMPM was more goofy with the whole acid trip scenes than anything else (in fact, the most disturbing thing there was the scene with the car at the gas pump).
Yeah, I'm thinking like Bob's Burger in terms of adult content level (not so mundane, though).
Honestly, even when cartoons are trying to be shocking, I think limits to how graphic you can go (either from S&P or self-enforced) often makes it more effective. That way that have to get more creative and focus on quality of the drawing and sound.

You know, I'll just make a new thread. Don't expect to get much traffic now, but it'll save time for when the show actually comes on.

Well, if you really want to know what happened to the characters after the last episode, we're getting a new comic miniseries: https://www.newsarama.com/38902-regular-show-jump-25-year-into-thee-future-in-new-boom-title.html
OK,how did they get away with using 'piss' as actual dialogue?
Think its the only cartoon I know of where its actively used without being beeped

New theme music also a boxIt's probably from the early seasons, when the language was a little saltier. I mean, the show was pitched to Adult Swim at one point.

New theme music also a boxThey used that word uncensored on the Toonami edit of DBZ years before RS debuted.
They low tier cussed. They made dick jokes. Muscle Man was skinned alive once.

Piss isn't a swear...
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. It's probably the farthest in content any CN show past or present ever got away with (though Gumball and Unikitty have come close). Though to be fair, as the show became more continuity-based, the jokes were more toned down, to the benefit of the stories (aside from the finale, I dont think any characters died after season 6).

Piss is a swear, albeit a minor one like "damn". Why would they censor "you pissed me off" to "you ticked me off" otherwise?
She/they. Hirrus Clutumnus is my comfort characterBecause other countries exist.

Piss is more vulgar in my mind because it's a crudely referring to bodily fluids,it's like 'shit'
New theme music also a boxHeck, it's even rare to hear that word on adult cartoons like Simpsons or Family Guy.

Why Regular Show no say "sexy"...?
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.I think Adventure Time was the only CN show that got away with that word (ie, Tree Trunks calling herself sexy, Finn calling Marceline a sexy vampire).
johnny bravo called himself or a woman sexy once if i recall
She/they. Hirrus Clutumnus is my comfort characterOK,what is up with people calleding Mordecai a simp?I ask because I keep seeing everywhere with the title
New theme music also a boxIt's a reference to his dumbass attitude when it comes to woman. ESPECIALLY how badly he fucked up whenever Margaret was involved, as she barely acknowdleged his existence yet the idiot was willing to kill his best friend over not going out with her. (Even if he did regret that last one)
Also Simp refers to a thirsty dumbass AKA a guy that goes to great lengths to impress a woman that doesn't really notices them. Think of it as White Knighting but more pathetic
"Bingo! If two species hate each other, they will wipe each other out on their own."So...it doesn't apply after season 1 then.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.It still applies, just watch the episodes with Margaret's sweater where Mordecai simps hard over a goddamn sweater just to not let go of her.
Or just about anytime he fucked up his relationship with CJ because he still couldn't stop pulling a Mordecai with Margaret
"Bingo! If two species hate each other, they will wipe each other out on their own."So, with all the discussion about Mordecai being a simp that still pops up occasionally, I think we could discuss the other relationships on Regular Show. While everyone (including myself) loves the adorable Rigby/Eileen couple, I find myself liking Muscle Man/Starla. It gave a sensitive side to MM, and was just so sweet in its own way. Shame that after they got married, they stopped showing anything about their relationship (Starla has literally one line in the series in it's last 2 seasons, just yelling Mitch's name when they're going into space).
Plus, Cartoon Network Studios is officially working on the series' production. Granted, this isn't really their first time working on adult material (like Black Dynamite, Space Ghost Coast to Coast, and Season 5 of Samurai Jack).
Let's just hope it doesn't flop.
