I Just saw It Pretty Cool
All of time and space, anywhere and everywhere, any star that ever was. Where do you want to start?"If it weren't for you..."
"Meddling?"
"...Meddling kids!"
I have a message from another time...I liked it, which was rather suprising. I think I'll stick with it.
Damn. I missed it. I was really looking forward to it, waiting for it, but I missed it, is there another time it comes on?
Wait, never mind, another comes on on another version of the channel.
Saw it, pretty good. Also, And Then The Shippers Went Crazy.

Since I can already tell this show's going to be quite a different spin on the Scooby series, I went and made a trope page for it already. If someone noticed something I missed or thinks I was off feel free to add.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Wow...I think I actually like Scooby Doo again.
https://www.fanfiction.net/u/548347/Damn, this is actually really good. And its pretty interesting how Shaggy and Velma are secretly dating. Can't wait till this show starts airing!
GOH! JII! RAH!I've been pulling for Shaggy and Velma since I first saw Scooby-Doo Where Are You? ("For a girl, you sure got cold clammy hands!").
It was so obviously a show about two couples. They shared malts for chrissakes! But it was so subtle as to be lost in subsequent incarnations. It gives me a warm/fuzzy feeling to finally see them together.
But I'm used to the gang as adults by now, the return to high school age is a little bit jarring, even if they don't actually look all that different.
Also, the gang has PARENTS?
And on an unrelated note: when was Shaggy's real name established as Norville Rogers? I've only ever seen it referenced in the movies and The Scooby-Doo Project, never in the actual cartoon.
It was in several episodes of each one, especially What's New, usually with a "The winner is Norville Rogers!" Mass"Who? Huh?" reaction from the crowd. "Better known as Shaggy."
Or something similar...
:smug:It's old, but I'm not sure how old. They said his real name in A Pup Named Scooby Doo, and I think it showed up in "Scooby Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf."
Actually, I think it was revealed in either an episode (possibly of "The Scooby Doo Show") or a movie where they visited a relative of his.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. How'd I miss this for a month? This is... promising.
Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages?Wow...I think I actually like Scooby Doo again.
Just watched it on Youtube. I'm agreeing.^_^
I didn't think it was really at all possible for Velma to be hotter than she already was.
bogleech.com for my writing, comics and cartoons. This makes TWO great shows I've seen on Cartoon Network. God damn it, of all the channels to get me to start watching TV again, this is the LAST one I expected to draw me back in.
WHO IS THIS LOSEROn this reboot of Scoody-Doo, "Yuck! Yuck! Yuck!". The person claimed that they were fans of Scooby-Doo, they lied BIG TIME! I want to vomit my breakfast after I saw the first episode on You Tube. If I was in charge of Warner Bros., I would have quickly canned that version and uncanceled "What's New, Scooby-Doo?".
Logging off, Dr Thinker, a.k.a, Mad WritterAny particular reason why?
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Yeah, just saying "It sucks" somehow doesn't explain why you think it sucks.
Granted, I've only seen the first episode, but my only issue is the Velma/Shaggy thing. Look, Fred/Daphne works, but Velma/Shaggy could never be anything other than a Friends with Benefits thing. And since when is casual sex part of a Saturday morning cartoon?
mudshark: I don't expect Nate to make sense, really. To me, it's the town mistrust of MI that's making me vomit. My version of MI was trusted, is trusted, and always will be trusted 100% by everybody.
Logging off, Dr Thinker, a.k.a, Mad WritterIn my opinion, that's a rather minor complaint, but then again, I've made some incredibly minor complaints as well. Besides, would you trust teenagers with solving a Mystery?
^No. That's why I personally like the concept. Also the fact that they bring up the fact that "all the kids are solving mysteries." -shrug- I like the new version and its changes quite well, and will probably end up watching the episodes as they come out. I can see why a long type fan wouldn't like it, but I was never that hardcore about Scooby Doo to begin with.
Why? Shaggy/Velma always seemed completely natural to me.
WHO IS THIS LOSER
Well, they're reimagining the gang again, though this ones seems a bit more offbeat than usual. Just saw the sneak peak aka full preview episode, and it's pretty interesting.
Looks like it's going to be even more of a Lampshade fest than What's New Scooby Doo, having fun with the audience's expectations and all. Also looks like it's going to be as episodic as before but also have a running plot, and something tells me they might be going for a slightly Darker and Edgier spin, or at least slightly more mature.
Matthew Lillard as Shaggy kind of threw me off to left field, especially since according to Wikipedia Casey Kasem's playing a major recurring character anyway, and everyone else has their old actor/actress. But, in any case, the way the characters are played is pretty funny - especially Fred being completely oblivious (but not a moron, nice middle point) and Velma being a lot more... tough than usual.
Also liking the Riddleresque Big Bad.
