Yeah, it's hard to forget that he has issues, heck in one of his live wires he was talking about how he hadn't slept in 3 days, which I know from personal experience is unbearable. Plus doing videos and editing can be very frustrating on a good day, so in that instance I do feel for the guy.

Even then, the long waits can be unbearable. And as someone who could care less about his wrestling videos the waits for his "real" videos sometimes result in me forgetting about him for long stretches of the year.

Is not impressed.

Lo, the Spoony One has returned with a tale of head-exploding. I never cared for psionics myself, but my reasons were a lot... pettier than the ones Noah had. I can respect their Pathfinder counterparts (psychic magic, which I actually like, and the 3rd-party Dreamscarred Press stuff), though I've mellowed a bit on it. I guess I just don't like new age crystal magic.

In the Transformers:ROTF review, he mentioned doing a review for the previous movie, but I can't find it. Is it still around somewhere?

It's a written review, AFAIK, but his archive is borked so can't find it.

The ROTF vlog review is a classic. I need to rewatch that sometime.

The first minute or so of that review is priceless, and I've only seen the first live-action Transformers movie. The first minute or so of his Breaking Dawn Part 1 review is also a standout, and I also haven't seen any of the Twilight movies. I'm surprised he can go on for so long, and his Breaking Dawn Part 2 review is longer than the actual movie.

Breaking Dawn Part 2 was the one where he had Brad (and I think Lewis?) on speakerphone with him and he was drinking, right? Because that's another classic vlog.

Really? Huh.

Regardless, both are must-watches.

Jewwario and Linkara were in Part 1 while Brad was in Part 2. The former 2 sound like they were physically with Spoony because their voices don't sound electronic while Brad's voice definitely was in the Breaking Dawn part 2 vlog.

Spoony mentioned Sucker Punch at the end of the Transformers: DOTM vlog, but did he ever review it at some point?

Paying attention to Spoony at this point is like paying attention to someone who's bleeding out.

You gotta start somewhere.

I'm confused as to the intended meaning of that simile.

Yeaaaaaaah, aren't you supposed to call an ambulance if you see someone bleed out on the street? tongue I'm disturbed by implications of how you worded that

(that being said, I think they meant to say its painful to observe. Either way, rather disturbing thing to say)

Anyhoo, he doesn't do videos much anymore, but apparently he does live streams with let's plays or something?

He's recently restarted making those (streams of games). For the later half of last year he wasn't even streaming anything.

What I mean by that is, Spoony is slowly dying the death's of a thousand cuts just by doing what he's doing. He doesn't release new videos, doesn't do anything to tell the people why said videos are not coming out on his youtube channel as something as simple as V Log or anything like that. He updates on his FUCKING MESS of a Twitter account, which I refuse to do and even if I wanted to do so he blocked me simply because I asked him why did he blocked comments on Youtube.

Then there's his Patreon account where he's just barely hanging on at little over simply a thousand dollars a month. He's dying slowly and we're watching all of that shit because we can't do anything about it.

I'd say he's burnt out. Whatever crap is going on with him it's clear that he's just not the same Spoony. I sometimes pop into his Live Wire streams, and there have been a few times where he just played games completely silent. He's been doing better somewhat more recently, I watched him play Dark Souls not too long ago and he seemed chipper. Even still, I recognize the signs of burnout. I just hope he gets the help he needs and starts to feel better.

Is not impressed.

I watched part of his Live Wire on some Alien game last year and at some points he told viewers to fuck off because they wanted him to, you know, say stuff while he was playing.

[up]And he still collects a Patreon.

I think given everything else, there's an ethical issue with taking money for content you have no desire to produce.

[up] Not really. It's Patreon, it's not like the people backing him are being forced into it, they can end their subscription at any time. Hell, most of them have, as he used to collect 4 times more money. Those still giving him money are clearly fine with the state of things. And to be fair, when he does stream, he's actually a fairly prolific streamer.

I mean, does he work now?

I've always liked Noah, ever since I first saw one of his FFVIII videos back in.. must be about ten years now. It was 2007 anyway, back before Phantasmagoria 2 and Blip. Anyway, it was clear he didn't exactly like this whole thing. He was grateful for money and fans but it was not what he really wanted to do. He kept it up for a while but we all know what happened so I guess it maybe wasn't a tenable position.

It's why I hope he's happier now and I don't care if he doesn't do reviews or whatever like he used to. He owes nothing to anyone.

[up] Technically he owes is patreon monthly content in some manner. since, ya know, they are not paying him per video.

Obviously it's up to them or not if they think streams are that content. And going by how his income's melted, I guess most of them didn't. Still, plenty of them still do and its their money to spend as they wish.

Saw him in my YouTube feed. He's done like 3 streams in a row over the past couple of days.
