The music in FFXIII is atrocious, in my opinion, but I find it kinda pitiful to see Spoony be so surprised to see people disagree with him.
I mean, there's some people who like FFXII. As long as I keep that fact in mind, I won't be surprised by any opinion. If you told me that there's some people who like diving in a pit of cacti butt naked, I'd say: "Meh. There's people who like FFXII."

Yeah, shouldn't there be some diversity in it?
Alt account of Angeldog 2437.He spent like half his FFX, part 1 video whining about Tidus, and it stayed entertaining throughout to me.
Oh ok.
Alt account of Angeldog 2437.It depends on how it's presented. If his criticism of the music is varied and makes multiple points, that's great. If he just plays a single clip 30 times in repetition like he's done a lot lately ("What's a paladin?"), not so much.
Groovy. The score is similar to most Japanese games these days, with its anachronistic music.
Sometimes it pays off big, like with Ghost Trick's disco or Persona's bluesy j-pop, if that is even a thing.
FFX was mostly mellow piano pieces, and it worked well despite being wildly out of place.

I'm a skeptical squirrel"I mean, there's some people who like FFXII. As long as I keep that fact in mind, I won't be surprised by any opinion. If you told me that there's some people who like diving in a pit of cacti butt naked, I'd say: "Meh. There's people who like FFXII." "
....I feel I should be taking offense to that. Are you implying that to have a positive opinion on FFXII is worse than jumping into cacti naked?
:smug:...there are people who don't like jumping into cacti naked?
Groovy.I do that daily.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle. Some people flip out over the silliest things. Myself included. But never music, even music from video games.
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencyMethinks if I ever flip out over a video game soundtrack, there will be deeper issues behind that tantrum. I hope.

I'm a skeptical squirrelYes, I am, but I'm not going on a tirade about how those people are wrong about their opinion. It's simply a matter of me finding no single enjoyable thing about that game, and furthermore finding no single thing I could imagine someone else enjoying.
Anyways, let's not derail the thread. Just my example of not being able to comprehend some people's taste. Let them have it. If they're having fun and no one is getting hurt, then it's all fine and good for me.
Say... Last night, Spoony's tweets mentioned the "weird events" that happened in Ireland, and he was freaked out. And then linked to a series of pictures that are mundane for the most part, but some are... unsettling.
What's the whole deal with that? Some kind of weird joke, foreshadowing, genuine weird moment?
Nah thats just ireland being ireland
love the lord of tekken written in the visitors book
" I did the right thing, didn't I? It all worked out in the end." "In the end? Nothing ends, Adrian. Nothing ever ends."Woah, woah, woah, "Corpse-eating eels?"
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatOh, the humanity!
But I was thinking more about the corrupted pictures, and the creepy ones with Slenderman hanging in the mist.
... What?
Me and my friend's collaborative webcomic: Forged MenOkay, so, let me rephrase that.
Here is what Spoony said last night.
The pictures are all in the G+ account that I've linked earlier, and indeed, some◊ pictures◊ are corrupted. Nothing special here, that kind of things happen.
And then, you have those◊ two◊, where you can kinda see a silhouette in the mist. And finally that one◊... which is probably just corrupted too, but eerie as all Hell.
I'm not saying things like "ermagerd Slenderman iz realz", that would be silly, but we have seen Spoony make some pretty spooky foreshadowing in his latest reviews (most notably, every time we see him bound on his chair screaming for a few frames at a time, it has still not been resolved). I'm honestly wondering is this is just a genuine story, or if he's making it up, a kind of ARG that would lead to a payoff somewhere down the line...

I think he's setting up for a big horror episode, posisbly relating to slenderman.
Or maybe it's Sephiroth. Because last time I checked, that's who was setting up the FFX review, to cast Meteor by using Spoony's hatred for Final Fantasy as fuel.
The Marble Hornets guys are friends with Little Kuriboh, so if Spoony wanted to contact them, it would be fairly easy. Just saying.
Groovy.Twist: the entire Spoony Experiment was a set-up for a Slenderman series. He's already there, in all the videos.
Or, alternatively, "Hagan! Stop getting on the shot!"

Me and my friend's collaborative webcomic: Forged MenI'd say, since that whole event was tweeted almost live a few months back, that would be a pretty awesome teaser. We'll just have to wait and see, I suppose.
Well, its right about time for the last of the yearly Spoony Twilight rants.
I have to say, if literally half the script was him complaining about the music, it was a good thing it got cut.
