I think Phantasmagoria 2 and Ripper produced way bigger laughs, but there was also a lot of meandering and putzing about, so I still think SWAT 4 stayed more consistently entertaining.
Groovy."I WILL SHOOT YOU IN YOUR SOUL!" (or was it 'punch'?) Best line of his L Ps in my opinion. I think his Phantasmagoria II was the best overall, though.

^^Yeah, Swat one was better than Phantamasgoria one, I can't remember exactly at what place I would consider Ripper one to be, I just remember enjoying it a lot.
I'm more partial to "YOU FOOL!... oh wait, ME FOOL!". SWAT 4 is definitely the LP I've enjoyed the most.
I can't have you close, so I become a ghost and I watch you, I watch you.I owe the man my exposure to Highlander, I can never repay Spoony that debt as long as I live.
Also he was the one who showed me the joys of the live action Tekken movie, increased my attention span with his lengthy vlogs, and taught me the real meaning of Christmas via Santa With Muscles.
Hell Hasn't Earned My TearsThe Phantasmagoria LP is by far some of the funniest videos I've ever seen online.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.Swat's my favorite because it's the most tightly edited and creative videos Spoony's put out. There's some seriously great stuff in there, even the credits are funny as hell.
I remember when Spoony was the only reviewer I knew about. I remember when I thought he started Let's play. I don't know why. So young, so little Slowbeef...
Remember! Hyperbole is an exaggeration made for comedic effect, and shouldn't be taken literally! The SWAT 4 one is my favorite, but that's probably because of the Nostalgia Filter; they were the first of his videos that I ever watched, so I almost choked to death laughing. Also, because I actually like that game.
...I think I like Ripper more than Phantasmagoria because he spent a lot of the latter wandering around trying to figure out what to do. Plus, Ripper has some moments where the game was funny enough on its own, namely every single scene involving Christopher Walken (though Phantasmagoria was also funny in parts). I like them both though.
When it comes to choosing a favourite Spoony LP, I have only one thing to say;
I heard that, Curtis.
I was pretty unenthused with the Ripper LP as it was going on, but I learned to appreciate it more on a rewatch. Phantasmagoria's my favorite.
I've never actually finished the Ripper LP.
Remember! Hyperbole is an exaggeration made for comedic effect, and shouldn't be taken literally!I finished it but couldn't figure out the game. Maybe I was too concentrated on the jokes and the sweet ass music to figure out the mystery.
Ripper LP is really boring to me. I just didn't feel like there were many jokes.
Yeah, after part one or two (can't remember) of Ripper, I honestly didn't have any drive to watch anymore. It really just kind of bored me.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle. The Ripper LP was what got me into Spoony's stuff, so it's my favorite, but I think the Phantasmagoria LP was just as good. The Ripper LP wins by a small margin because of Christopher Walken, though.

I didn't watch all of Ripper either because, yeah, lots of meandering around waiting for stuff to happen. But the good parts are pure gold, like just about anything with Walken. Diz gai...
Groovy.Anyone have a "Best of" reel for that LP? That would be good enough for me if the good parts are as good as you say.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.I know Nostalgia Critic included it in his "Top 11 Christopher Walken Roles" video with a lot of highlights.
Groovy. The Walken reading scene is of the funniest things Spoony's ever done:

Oh, no, I meant highlights from the LP specifically. I suppose we both misunderstood what the other was saying here.

Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.I couldn't find a best of video, but the scene in that video is one of my favorite parts, so I figured I'd post it (the part at the beginning moreso than the interrogation scene).

I think, as far as Walken-yness, that second scene is superior, especially when it leaves Noah struggling for words for a few seconds.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatWalken's acting in Ripper truly astounds me. I think 90% of the reason why I created a trope page for Ripper was because I wanted people to know about both the LP and the existence of a game where Walken spends his entire screen time doing a bad impression OF HIMSELF.
Way back in 1996 Gamespot claimed Walken's performance was terrible. Screw you Gamespot, it was awesome and you know it.

I liked Ripper LP more than Phantamasgoria Mainly because latter game actually DID spook me out. Until whole ending reveal alien thing, thats when it stopped being scary to me. But hallucination like phone calls and such? Creeepy.
