Is it still going on?
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! No. Sorry for me mixing up words.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Ah, okay.
I was confusedly trying to find the room again.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Nah, the anime gets really rushed IMO, especially from Case 1-4 on. That's disappointing. :(
... And that's called jazz! For an adaptation, it's pretty alright.
Larry disguised as Edgeworth soured me on the adaptation.
The anime is getting an English dub by Funimation.
Personally, I'd prefer if the 'net was a little friendlier, but you know the GIFT...Yes! Yes yes yes yes!
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing. The one thing I don't really like about the anime is how they skip a couple cases. Like, Rise from the Ashes and the first case of Justice for All aren't there. Though I guess, since they were going for an actual story, it makes sense not to include them - Rft A doesn't really affect the trilogy, and since they weren't making any of the third game, Maggey didn't need to be introduced, either.

WOO-HOO, DUB TIME!
Stella ~Part 3 (Atelier Shallie)Booey. Rise From The Ashes is one of the best cases in the entire series. Surely worth a mini-arc at least.
I can understand why, the anime's telling Phoenix's/Edgeworth's story, so they're just using the cases pertaining to that. Rise from the Ashes was more Lana's/Ema's story, and T&T was all about the Fey clan.
I finally figured out the puns behind Ellen Wyatt and Pierce Nichody's names. I'm embarassed it took this long...
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!anyone else get annoyed that they showed the same flashback three times!? Every time someone mentions 'duty', flashback to Maya talking to Rayfa about her duty
Yeah that was the one flashback thing that got me a little annoyed even though I understand the significance of it
I'm done with the DLC finally! I'm going to write up all of my thoughts soon, but here's what I have to say about Nahyuta.
I'm of mixed feelings about this guy. On one hand, I really like him and his role as a prosecutor. He makes a good antagonist in the courtroom and I enjoy how his animations go from subtle to extreme when he's angered. It's also refreshing to see someone with respect for authority. He's polite not only to the judge, but also compliments Ema on her work. I appreciated that.
BUT
I wasn't a fan of him telling the defense and defendants to go to Hell. That was way out of line. I also didn't like that his "that was the second time" shtick got dropped. They really should have done more with that, given that a proverb about a Buddhist monk giving you three chances was the source of inspiration for his name. Maybe if he only got really aggressive and hostile when you pissed him off I'd be able to accept it more.
It's also really annoying that he never doubts himself or apologizes for his rash words. That's a lot of really heavy stuff saying that you'll send someone to Hell, you know? Not something you should say lightly and ignore. Made even more annoying by the fact that he should be supportive of the defense's ability to find the true culprit given how seriously he takes his last rites. It'd be one thing if he got annoyed by their bluffing or grew hostile due to lack of evidence and went back to his original claims, but they didn't go that route bafflingly.
Also, "A dragon never yields", he says... after years and years of yielding to Ga'ran. Nahyuta, please.
Well, he stops yielding at some point :P
... And that's called jazz!my biggest gripe with nahyuta is that garan's blackmail is never shown to force him to act like an asshole, only to force him to prosecute who she wants him to prosecute, and to denounce the dragons. i can understand his behavior in case 3 for example, where he's at his most tolerable. HOWEVER. in both cases where he's outside his country he acts far, far worse in court towards the defence. especially in case 4, where his behavior is flat out deplorable.
i appreciate that he's (arguably one of the most) competent prosecutor, but his behavior isn't adequately justified and it leaves a really bad taste in my mouth.
My headcanon is that Ga'ran had her spies keep an eye on him while he was out of Khura'in, and one of the things she made him do was act like a merciless, religious zealot, just to twist the knife.
Personally, I'd prefer if the 'net was a little friendlier, but you know the GIFT...Given that Ga'ran is basically a Power Rangers villain, I could believe that.
Ga'ran built an entire structure of power based on nationalism and religious fundamentalism, and encouraged people to act like bigots because it benefitted the regime. Note that most Khura'inese people who weren't like that were people who never bought her crap in the first place, like the rebels. Makes sense that Yuty would act like a total asshole in accordance with that and tone it down considerably after Ga'ran lost her "insurance"
... And that's called jazz!I mean, isn't it outright stated that for Nahyuta to not be found guilty of Dhurke's (alleged) terrorist activities, he had to give himself up to the throne and made into a twisted figurehead of the DC Act? Thus his exaggerated animosity for the defense. And that's all it ever really was, I think; an exaggeration. He didn't really feel the way he spoke to others, he just had to put the front up to protect not only himself but Rayfa too. Like, in Case 2, when he's first introduced, there's a long pause in that he's "praying for the victim's soul". While I'm sure that isn't a lie, you could also take it to mean that, during the prayer, he was steeling his nerves so he could properly act as he had been towards Apollo. And in Case 4, despite the abuse he throws at Athena the entire trial, when all's said and done, he vocally admits to his respect of her. He's no asshole - he needs to look like on.

I was the one who won the first set last night.
