Sam continued her barrage of arrows aiming true towards every beady dark eye that caught her sight.

The rhinoceros, for it's part, continued it's furious rampage towards the giant spiders, barely stopping as it gored them with her horn or trampled them underfoot. It changed directions slightly, however, moving towards James and Aaron... or more specifically, towards the spiders that were heading their way.

Sklav was unable to bite through the armor of the Drow he was fighting, but neither was she able to wound Sklav. The two were evenly matched. In a flurry of quick movements and counter-movements they fought, each matching the other's movements. Meanwhile, the other Drow bypassed this fight to close in on Mal.

As Drek finally got to Gerrard, he said: "How's your leg?" Gerrard replied: "I think it's broken. I'll limp over to Claire and let her do her healing-hands thing." Drek nodded and said: "Go." Drek proceeded to use his sword to slice down slider after spider, displaying considerable speed and skill with his longsword.

As he did this, he spotted the rhinoceros as it plowed into a pack of giant spiders and charged past him on it's way to James and Aaron. The massive animal weighed more than a ton, and it's thick hide was more than a match for the teeth and legs of the spiders.

Meanwhile, the female robed Elf cast a spell that caused streams of fire to shoot from both her hands, burning down a pack of Giant Spiders. Her male companion on horseback and in armor had fought through the spiders and had jumped his horse up onto the back of the dragon.

Meanwhile, the man in strange beige clothes with the odd metal stick had manipulated his stick again, and there was another loud bang, and yet another spider fell dead.

The dark-skinned Dwarf said to Orren and Kalan: "I get that ye be fighting Drow and their summoned spiders, on a dead dragon, but ye mind telling me what in blazes is going on in the sky?"

Meanwhile, in the sky, the vortex surrounding Lloth and Eruntian suddenly intensified and then burst into fire! The Drow warriors screamed and fell down, stunned. Then the body of the black dragon disintegrated into dust. Eruantian and Lloth then fell out of the sky, still locked together in a deadly embrace. Lloth landed on her feet, as did Eruantian. Lloth was bleeding around her hands, but Eruantian was unharmed. Eruantian said: "Had enough?" Lloth replied: "You'll never defeat me! Even if you destroy this body, I'll simply make a new one and return again. Admit it, mortal. You simply cannot win." Erntian shook his head: "Maybe my ring can't kill you this time, but I can trap you inside the ring." Lloth laughed and said: "If you do that, then I will control the ring. You'll just make me more powerful." Eruantian said: "Not if I lock both of us inside. Then we will be trapped together forever. I your jailer and you my prisoner. We can spend eternity fighting." Lloth suddenly looked scared and said: "You can't be serious. Not even your ring can do that." Grim-faced, Eruantian said: "Wanna bet?"

Kalan responded to the dwarf by saying "I'm Sorry mister dwarf but I do not know much, though I do belive from what I've previously heard that the drow woman up there is Lolth." as he systematically killed the spiders by stabbing them in the eyes and into whatever brain they have

Aaron did not like what Eruantian was planning on doing to himself. He was going to raise up his voice until certain werewolf said a few words to him. "Aaron, don't try to interfere with Eruantian's act."

James was dealing with the last remaining spiders nearby but it still didn't slow down his words. "All your going to do is hinder him. Not only is Eruantian doing something he knows needs to be done but he's willing to make a great sacrifice, don't insult the sacrifice he will make."

A spider was about to attack Aaron, focusing too much on Eruantian and James's words, but the werewolf impaled it with his glaive before it could do any damage. "Now, don't lose concentration."

Undetered by any of this, the rhino continued it's rampage through the mass of spiders, freely trampling and goring the spiders as it went. It seemed nothing could stop it.

The dark-skinned Dwarf, Kalan, and Orren found themselves on the ground now that the dragon's body had disintegrated. They were now only a few feet from where Eruantian and Lloth were. The three found themselves momentarily clear of attackers, so the dwarf said: "I be called Thrthen Nurest. How be ye called?"

About 15 yards from where Drek and Lloth were, Mal was now about to be in melee range of the four Drow that had come for her, while Sklav was still fighting one-on-one with the fifth Drow. Sklav had rarely had such a skilled opponent, but he felt sure he could best her, given enough time. She was faster and better armored, but he was bigger, tougher, stronger, and had sharper teeth. If he could just wear her down, surely he would prevail.

Drek had advanced towards Eruantian and Lloth, but there were still dozens of spiders and about 18 yards or market square between he and they.

Clair had jumped down off the roof of the building Sam was on so she could go heal Gerrard, who had reached the building. This building was about 20 yards from where Eruantian and Lloth were.

Meanwhile, the female robed High Elf had cast a spell that summoned a Frost Giant. This enormous humanoid was 18 feet tall, weighing perhaps 3,000 pounds. It's skin was white, and it's hair pale blue. It was wearing various animal skins and hides stitched together in a crude sort of tunic. This crude tunic was worn over a chest protector made of a mish-mash of pieces of assorted types of human-sized chain-mail armor that had been sew together with leather strips. The giant was holding a massive pine log, about 12 feet long and perhaps 3 feet wide. It said: "Who dares bring me here against my will?" The Elf said: "It is I, Seilsiaria of Suldeneselar. I offer you an opportunity for vengeance against the Drow who so wronged your people." The giant replied: "Be thankful I hate the Drow more than I hate Elves! I will be back to kill you later, Elf!" It charged forward, stomping into the mass of spiders, crushing several underfoot. It charged towards the four Drow that were intent on attacking Mal. Then, it wielded it's log like a golf club, teeing off against one of these Drow. The Drow's skull was instantly crushed, and it's broken body was tossed against the wreck of a building. The giant then stood and let out a deafening battle-cry as the remaining Drow turned to face the new threat.

Demios and Cecilia were about three yards from where Eruantian and Lloth were. Deimos shook his head and said: "Oh that's just wonderful. A fraking Giant. I give it five minutes before it goes berserk and attacks everything it can see."

Meanwhile, the armored Elf on horseback said to the female elf (who had identified herself to the giant as Seilsiaria): "Was that wise, sister? Once the frost giant finished with the Drow, it will surely turn on us!" Seilsiaria replied: "A necessary risk, Eeisendrik. It will attack Lloth before kit attacks us, for is she not the queen of the Drow? For now, concentrate on saving our father." The male Elf, who's name was apparently Eeisendrik, just said: "Aye, Eruantian must be saved" and continued attacking the spiders.

The oddly-dressed man with the strange metal stick climbed down off the wreckage of the buildings he had been at and entered the market square. Eruantian then caught sight of him and said: "What the heck... how did he get to this world?" Eruantian called out to the man in a strange language, and the man celled back in what sounded like the same language. Lloth, taking advantage of this distraction, cast a blindingly-powerful fire spell at Eruntian, and the two disappeared behind the brilliance of the spell. Just then, Orandious emerged from the tower entrance, running out with several tower-guards and a bunch of mages running behind him. Seeing this, Gerrard said: "Looks like the tower's sending us reinforcements. It's about dam time!" Clare said: "Hush up, mister man. I be lay on the healing hand, mend leg. Not move, ka?" Gerrard said: "Er yeah.... ka."

Seeing little Clare move away from her, Sam worried more than a little... though her little sister was just doing her best to assist in the furious battle. Sam moved to the edge of the roof as she continued to snipe, though now she gave priority to stick with arrow anything that came close to Clare and her patient... And if something got by her arrows she would draw her blade and jump off the roof to engage directly.

Sticking to what seemed to work, the druid turned into a rhino continued her rampage, crushing the soft to her spiders as she went... as the battle escalated she decided to play her part by merely taking care of as much of the beings as possible. Seeing how the biggest collection of spiders seemed to be between Drek and his objective she charged in that direction.

Sklav swung his sword at the Drow's sword arm, then at her leg, and stabbed at her neck, and finished the series of strikes with a slash in between the legs.

Thrthen the Dwarf said: "The man wielding the magic ring... I take it that be Eruantian, aye?"

Sklav was able to momentarily get the upper hand in his duel with the Drow warrior, but every time he found an opening, she countered it. Still, he had forced her on the defensive now, and if he could keep it up it was only a matter of time before she slipped up.

Sam was now down to 3/4 of her supply of arrows.

Claire placed her hands on Gerrard's legs, and a healing light shone forth from them. In seconds, Gerrard was good as new. Gerrard said: "Much obliged, little miss. Now get to safety!" Claire nodded and said (with genuine seriousness): "Okkie-dokkie!"

Meanwhile, Eruantian said to Lloth: "You stole a demon's body to get out of hell, and if I trap your soul in my ring, I'll leave a demon free on the surface, but I don't see as how I have much of choice here Lloth. Drek, goodbye old friend. I'll take as many spiders and Drow with me when I go... you'll have to get Micheal to seal the entrance to the Underdark that Lloth managed to open." Drek shouted out: "NO! There has to be another way!" Eruantian sighed and said: "There isn't one. Lloth is right: If she can escape from the lower planes once, sending her back there will just ensure she comes back again. This is the only way. TIME TO END THIS!"

A blinding flash of light and a deafening roar blasted forth from Eruantian's ring, and for a moment it seemed like the whole world had become an endless brightly-lit wall of fog. Everything seemed strange, like time itself had stopped. The light slowly faded, and when it was gone, Eruantian was gone, only his ring remained, spinning on it's edge. Lloth, the Drow, the spiders, and the Frost Giant were gone too. Beside the ring was nothing but a cloud of black smoke... butt... the smoke didn't dissipate; It coalesced... and solidified... and then took the shape of a horned demon with bright-red skin and a forked tail! It was about 8 feet tall, and grinning with obvious glee. The Demon said: "Free! Free at long last! I am free of Lloth's control! Free to harvest souls! Ahahahahahaha! Come, mortals, and know true fear! Gaze upon your DOOM!!!"

Aaron should be scared at the demon, it wants to kill him and eat his soul. But the medic couldn't help but feel another emotion, frustration. He was sick of it, that supernatural entities wanted to destroy his world. Why...why. Why. Why. WHY!

"SHUT UP!" cried out Aaron, the expression on his face made it clear he snapped. "YOU'RE FREE HUH? WELL GUESS WHAT, YOU'RE STILL DOING WHAT LLOTH WANTED, YOUR STILL HER PAWN! DOES THAT MAKE YOU FEEL ANY BETTER? LET ME GUESS YOU LIKE CAUSING DESTRUCTION? WHY, WHAT'S THE POINT? IF YOU DESTROY EVERYTHING WHAT DO YOU GAIN!? NOTHING, ABSOLUTELY FUCKING NOTHING! SO WHY DON'T YOU DO EVERYONE A FAVOUR, INCLUDING YOURSELF AND JUST GO AWAY!"

James was surprised how the usually mild medic went berserk.

Sklav felt a little disappointed, his opponent just... Disappearing like that. He looked towards the demon, and couldn't help but remember his team mate in the arena. He crouched down, preparing to fight...

Only to be surprised by Aaron's outburst. He watched from his position, curious.

Seeing the demon Sam felt a very real sense of dread invade her. She looked at Claire and yelled at her "Over here! Quick Clair! Quick!"

She didn't want the little girl to be five feet away from her with that monster around.

The rhino for her part stopped her charge when the battlefield changed once again... this time depositing an accursed demon on their way. The rhino pawed at the floor three times and let out a small number of grunts... Which then unleashed a spell.

A lightning bolt falling from heavens right towards the demon.

The demon was about to respond to Aaron, when it was hit by lightning.

When the lightning bolt hit the demon, the demon's look of glee was replaced with a look of anger. It turned towards the rhino and said: "How dare you! I offer you all eternal damnation, and this is how you repay me? You will suffer for that, you ungrateful Druid. Oh yes, I recognize the taint of that disgusting nature-worship in you. How repulsive! But first, I need a snack. I think I'll start with... that one." It licked it's lips and pointed at Claire, who immediately cried out in terror. The demon continued: "Oooohhh! So young and tender. So... innocent and vulnerable. Oh, I haven't had such a treat in an eternity. You'll be such a treat to eat." The demon's voice changed, now sounding like an elf. It said: "Come here, my precious. Daddy's calling you..." As the demon said this, an image of an Elf dressed like a fisherman appeared. The elf said in this same voice "Cliare! Come here sweetheart, daddy's here! You're safe now."

Orandoius cried out: "No, Claire! It's an illusion! Don't listen to him!" But it was too late. Claire was in a trance, under the demon's influence. She began walking towards the demon.

Seeing this, Drek became furious and said: "So you want a snack, aye? Then chew on this!!" Derk charged at the demon, his sword held above his head.

Orren, Deimos and Gerrard joined Drek in the charge. Orandious began casting a spell, but it was apparently a complex spell, and would take a while to cast. Peter and Micheal were still in the tower, recovering from Spellcaster's Fatigue, but a handful of mages had exited with Orandious and they too began casting spells.

The man in the odd beige clothes said something in his language (that nobody else could understand) and he then dropped his strange metal stick and ran forward.

Thrthen Nurest, the dark-skinned Dwarf, dove forward and grabbed Eruantian's ring... but the ring burned his fingers. The Dwarf yelped in pain and, finding the pain too much to bear, he was forced to throw the ring away. The ring went rolling across the square, stopping at Sam's feet with a clatter.

The female elf called Seilsiaria was apparently in an emotional state. She seemed shocked and disturbed, and said: "No... father... we were so close..." Eeisendrik, the male elf on horseback, was having trouble controlling his mount. When the explosion of white light from Eruantian's ring had hit, the horse had reared up and had nearly thrown him off. He said: "Pull it together sister! We've got a bit of a problem here."

Meanwhile, Mal could could no longer feel the direct presence of her god in her, and her skin, hair, and clothing had changed back to their usual colors. She felt very good, though, and her faith was as strong as ever.

Kalan, stared at the demon in horror and revulsion but then he too began to shake with anger as the demon hypnotized Claire "Leave her alone you freak!" memories of his friend flashed before his eyes, she was a girl just like this one and if Kalan understood the demon rightly she was going to die a horrible death, just like Kalans friend.

He then sheathed one of his knives only to produce a number of throwing knives that he flinged towards the demons back

Cecilia stiffened at the sight of the demon. "Blasphemous soul," she gritted her teeth, "you dare defile the creator's work with your filth?!"

Moving faster than anyone thought possible, Cecilia met the demon in single combat, brandishing her flaming sword. Against the backdrop of the pitch black demon, it's light seemed to shine all the brighter, a harsh, smiting glow.

"In the name of the Lord stained and impure souls will be banished into eternal damnation." She raised her sword. "Amen!"

Aaron's Night Light spell lit up the demon, and when it did the demon briefly flickered, like a torch that had nearly been blown out by the wind. As he finished casting the spell, Arron felt someone whisper in his ear, saying "Wrong spell. It's like me, you use healing magic to hurt it." The voice sounded like... Edvin! As Aaron's spell ended, the demon let out a surprised cry of "What..." But there was no time for it to finish the sentence, for Kalan, Drek, Deimos, Sklav, Gerrard, James, Orren, and Cecilia were upon the demon now, attacking it each in their own way.

Kalan's throwing knives and James' glaive hit the demon first, striking simultaneously. The throwing knives failed to penetrate the demon's back, and bounced off. James' glaive, however, broke the demon's skin and left a deep and wide gash in it's chest. The wound did not bleed, though. Instead, fire and smoke shot out of the wound, projecting outward for about three inches.

Mere moments later (not even a second later, in fact) Drek's sword was the next to strike. However, the demon countered by raising it's right arm up to deflect the blow. However, this left the monster wide open for Cecelila's sword to strike unimpeded, and so she was able to slice the demon's right arm clean off, about three inches above it's elbow. Again, the wound did not bleed, it just shot out fire instead.

Next to strike was Deimos. He slashed at the demon's face with his sword, hoping to hit one of the eyes. He missed the eyes, but he did slice off part of the monster's nose.

Gerrard decided that the front of the demon was too crowded with attackers, and that Kalan had had the right idea. So, he circled around behind the demon and prepared to try and back-stab the thing with his long knives.

Orren, on the other hand, was never much of one for finesse or anything fancy like that. He was a straight-ahead brute-force kind of guy. It had served him well in the past. He saw no reason to start changing now, and so he tried to use his spear to skewer the demon, lancer-style. This proved to be a fruitless effort though, because at the last moment the demon instantly teleported out of the way. Orren had been expecting to have his spear hit something solid, and so he let go of it as it reached the point where it should have struck something. There was no time for him to change his actions, although he knew instantly that letting go had ben a mistake, but it was too late to change the outcome at that point. And so, instead of driving his spear into the torso of the demon as he had intended, Orren ended up throwing his spear into the left thigh of Deimos. Luckily, the spear hit Deimo's leg at an odd angle. Thus, instead of the spear-head penetrating the leg and ending up inside it, it just deflected off and clattered to the ground. Deimos was merely bruised. Orren let out a curse in his native tongue, and Deimos echoed it with one of his own.

Sklav was also closing to attack at the same time Orren was, and it was only Sklav's quick reflexes that saved him from ending up in a collision with Orren. At the last possible moment Sklav managed to avoid a collision with Orren by pivoting to the left and tucking himself into a ball, thus allowing him to spin out of the way. It was only his years of experience as a fighter that had allowed him to avoid colliding with Kalan too.

The demon materialized about two yards away from where it had been. It was snickering now, and said: "Is that the best you people can do? All you've done is make me angry! Now DIE!" As it spoke, two of it's wounds were rapidly regenerating and healing over; The chest wound was closing up fast, and the facial wound was almost completely healed. However, the missing right arm stayed... missing! The demon raised it's right arm, apparently expecting for there to be an appendage there it could use to deal out it's threat of death. Instead, all it got was a useless stump a few inches away from his shoulder, and this left the demon surprised and perplexed. It stood there, it's mouth hanging open, staring at it's now-stump of an arm in shock and disbelief.

Claire's trance had apparently been broken, for she stopped walking towards the demon. Instead and she screamed, turned around, and then ran over to Sam. She hugged Sam and clung onto her. She said: "It's was in my head! It's was in my head!!" Just them, Thrthen Nurest called out to Sam in a desperate-sounding voice, saying: "The ring, lass! Get the ring!" The dark-skinned dwarf's fingeres were red and swollen where they'd touched the ring, but he seemed to be otherwise unharmed.

Mal cast Dismissal in an effort to banish the demon back to it's home plane, but the spell failed.

Meanwhile, the odd man in the beige clothes who didn't seem to speak a language anyone else understood was running towards the battle. He had some sort of strange metal device in one hand, and it looked like he was preparing to throw it. The device appeared to be spherical, about two inches in diameter or so. It was greenish-grey, with smooth surface. The device had a thin metal ring and a slightly thicker "L" shaped handle or lever sticking out of one side. The man had the device in his right hand.

Seilsiaria was still weeping on her knees, and Eeisendrik was still fighting to bring his mount back under control.

Orandious and the other Mages were still preparing to cast their spells.

Had the druid been in human form she would have quite a few words to say to the demon about her nature worship... but given her current shape she instead decided to express her feelings in a more physical manner.

She charged at the demon, leveling her horn to strike at him the moment she crashed with the unnatural being from the Abyss.

Sam on the other hand hugged Claire tight when the girl went back to her arms, falling on her knees to as she did her best to make her feel safe "It's alright... I won't let him take you"

Then, the young hunter heard the yells of Thrthen Nurest and then noticed the ring lying on the floor right next to her. With one arm still keeping the young elven girl close to her, Sam reached with her other and grabbed the ring from the floor.

Use my healing magic? Well it's worth a shot.

Aaron ran up to the demon, this seemed crazy but for best results he had to be near him. Where the stump was, that's likely to be the most vulnerable. Aaron got his hand out and tried to touch the demon so he could use Healing Light on him.

James focused on trying to keep the wound he inflicted open. Aaron was doing something crazy but that didn't matter right now.

The Druid-In-Rhino-Form crashed into the demon head-on, horn first. The horn punctured the demon's left kneecap. The force of the blow coupled with the crippling shot to the knee took the legs right out from under the demon. The demon was not able to break it's fall very well because it instinctively reached out to break it's fall with it's right arm... which, of course, was not there. Instead, it rolled off the left side of the rhino's head, neck, and back and then hit the cobblestones of the market square with a hard thump. This knocked the wind out of it's lungs, leaving it stunned and vulnerable... not to mention a critically wounded knee and a missing arm.

This gave Aaron the perfect opportunity to lay his Healing Hands spell on the demon. He laid his hands on the stump of the right arm, and cast the spell. Immediately the demon let out a very loud yell, for the pain of what Aaron was doing it was extreme. The stump withered, turned black, and then crumbled into white powdery ash. In only a couple of seconds the effect had rapidly spread all the way up the shoulder, across the collarbone, and then out across the chest, the back, and up the neck. What's more, all the arteries and veins on the demon's body rapidity turned blue and swollen. However, Aaron had to stop his spellcasting because he was feeling dizzy and confused. He was nearly passing out, and he just could not maintain enough concentration anymore.

By the time Aaron stopped casting his spell, the demon's head had separated from it's body (because it's neck had disintegrated into ash), and it had no chest, no back, and no shoulders. Amazingly, though... this did not kill the demon. Not completely, anyway. The feet were still kicking and it's head was still yelling and the tail was still twitching about. The wounds stopped healing, though, so it seemed that whatever Aaron had done to the thing had somehow negated it's regenerative abilities.

Meanwhile, Drek and the other fighters had moved in to attack the demon again, but when Drek saw what Aaron had done to the thing, it gave him pause to think. Orren, though, did not even blink. He immediately picked up his spear and jabbed it right through the eye socket of the now-helpless demon-head, and straight through it's brain, poking out through the other side of it's brain. He quipped: "That ought to shut the dam thing up!" Unfortunately, Orren was wrong; It did not shut the thing up. Instead the demon whispered some strange words at Orren and then Orren's face took on a blank expression; Orren was now in a trance.

As Drek slashed at the demon's body some more, he said: "Oh for crying out loud, how do we kill this thing?!"

Just then, Orandious and his fellow Mages from Micheal's Tower finally finished casting their spell. The spell powered up the weapons of everyone in the party, making the bushiness-end of their weapons burst into the same kind of fire Cecilia had on her weapon.

[GM's Note: The mages have cast an advanced form of 'Bless Weapon on everyone's weapon's. This spell will last for the next 20 minutes of in-game time. All of the weapons of all the characters now fighting the demon are now treated as good-aligned (normal weapons do not have an alignment.) This only includes such weapons as can be grasped in the hand or fired from a bow, not bare hands of feet, not the horn the a shapeshifted or animal-form being. This spell makes said weapons more effective against demons and other evil-aligned creatures. It also negates the regenerative abilities of creatures from the Lower Planes.]

Meanwhile, the man in strange beige clothes had chained his mind; He did not throw the round metal thing he had been about to throw. Instead, he said something nobody present could understand.

Seilsiaria was still weeping on her knees, but Eeisendrik had finally managed to bring his mount back under control.

Sam picked up Eruantian's ring... and immediately vanished... along with the ring!!! Thrthen Nurest said: "Wha... no.. it canna be! The ring is mine, I'm the rightful heir!"

Sam found herself in another world, with no idea how she'd gotten there. She was standing on grassy knoll. Scattered cherry trees and an apple orchard were down a road, a few yards away. A peaceful village was a few yards the other way, down the same road. There was a gravel road connecting the village and the orchard. An male Half-elf and a female Drow were standing on the road arguing about something. The Half-elf looked to be in his late teens, and the Drowes looked to be slightly older.

After that one last, incredibly satisfying strike against the demon, the rhinoceros stepped back a few steps until it's form shifted and changed, becoming smaller... it's thick grey hide turning into a brown hide armor and a dark cloak which mostly hid the shape of the tall woman underneath... her only visible aspects were some of her long brown hair and her face which had patterns painted in green colors depicting claws, talons, fangs, eyes... an intimidating pattern which effectively encapsulated the wrath of the wild.

On her hands, the druid woman held a simple, long wooden staff. She whispered the prayers of the wild to give her weapon an enchantment of her own, turning it into a shillelagh.

After that was done, she would spin it around in order to mercilessly hit the demon on it's wounded knee.

"What... W-Where...?"

Sam spun around in confusion, the hand with the which she picked up the ring closed into a fist as she tried to make sense of her surroundings. The peaceful scenery was... wrong. She was supposed to be in the middle of battle, taking care of little Claire. Her friends... Zelph was missing too... She couldn't be here.

In confusion, she walked towards the arguing man and woman... a single question on her mind and lips "W-Where am I?"

Sklav went for the back of the demon's head, stabbing it with his sword.

Exhausted, Aaron felt that deep down, he could finish the job, it didn't seem like his body was the thing that stopped him. It was his conscience that caused him to be dizzy. He just can't kill the demon, his refusal to kill still extends to an evil soul eater. Aaron than passed out.

Getting a buff on his weapon, James said "Well, I think we found our answer" and immediately stabbed the hell out of whatever he could of the demon.

Some people say I'm lazy. It's hard to disagree.

When the Druid Woman hit the demon's knee with her shillelagh, she felt like time had slowed down for a moment, and she could hear the Oak-Father say: "Nature itself cries out against this abomination, and so nature will help you. Behold, your helpers." As the shillelagh hit the demon's knee, a group of pixies magically sprang forth from the point of impact. These pixies were about three inches tall. They were flying on gossamer wings, were covered in tiny green leaves, and were singing some sort of happy tune. They were flying in a tight circular pattern about a foot's radius from the point of impact. As they flew, they were also sprinkling pixie-dust, and when the dust hit the demon, the demon turned into moss.

[GM's Note: This not what usually happens when a Druid uses the shillelagh spell. This a special, one-time bonus effect. It's being granted to a faithful Druid by The Oak-Father (who rarely gets directly involved directly in humanoid affairs) because he's happy that the world will finally be rid of Lloth's taint. Only the as-yet-unnamed Druid Woman can hear what The Oak-Father said to her because he said it to her mind directly, not in an audible way.]

When Drek saw that the party's weapons had been given some sort of magical effect he smiled, brandished his sword, and yelled: "Yeah! Way to go, Orandious!!!"

Sklav, who had attacked the back of the Demon's severed head, found that his weapon was able to slice through the demon's head like a hot knife through butter. Never one to let such an opportunity to pass him by, Sklav quickly shredded the demon's head into nugget-sized chunks. These chunks did briefly burst into flame, but did not regenerate. Instead, they slowly burned into charcoal-like bits. The demon, now lacking both a brain and a mouth, was now unable to speak, and thus unable to sustain it's spell over Orren. Thus freed of this spell, Orren snapped out of his trance.

Since James was now attacking a non-moving target, he could really let loose... and so he did! Displaying the full prowess his werewolf heritage granted by his current form, he ripped into what was left of the demon's body with his glaive, and with ease. The glaive stabbed and gashed and impaled a score of body parts, and the effect was similar to the effect Sklav's weapon had displayed: Whenever the demon's body touched any of the demon's body parts, those body parts burned into charcoal.

Aaron was still unconscious.

Gerard also hacked at the demon's body parts for a bit, and then when it was obvious that the thing was not getting back up, he said: "If something else falls out of the sky and attacks us now, I quit!" ________________________________________________

Meanwhile, Sam was somewhere else asking a question to two people, a male Half-elf and a female Drow. The male looked vaguely familiar to her, but she couldn't quite place where she had seen that face before. When she asked her question, the two stopped arguing, and they seemed surprised. The female Drow looked perplexed for a moment. Then her eyes got a wide-eyed crazy look in them, and she said: "You! I know you, you were there when Eruantian bound me into this gods-dammed green-and-sunny prison of a ring! You were shooting arrows at my servants. But if you can be here, then that means there's a way out! Way out... yes.... a way.. Yes, you will show me how to get out! Come here you white-skinned harlot!" The female Drow then tried to lunge forward and grab at Sam, but the male Half-elf deftly tripped her up and she landed flat on her face.

The male half-elf then said: "Don't be silly, Lloth. You're the one the gods have dammed, not the ring. And you know as well as I do that there's no way out for you and I. Sam must be here because she touched the ring, and the worthiness enchantment didn't reject her. That means she can leave any time she wants. Or at least that's how it worked for me when I first discovered this... erm... place." The man then turned to Sam and said: "Good to see you again, Sam. Welcome to the world inside my ring. That is, my former ring. I suppose it could be yours now, if you want it."

"Sir... E-Eurantian?" said Sam as she connected the dots and said what to her seemed like the correct answer. She then looked at Loth on the floor with a very clear look of disgust with the cause of so many problems. However, her mind promptly wandered somewhere else.

"M-Mine? It can do so much stuff... really it could be mine?" said Sam, who in her general naivety and lack of worldly wisdom doesn't realize the responsibility that might come with such a powerful artifact.

"Also, t-this is within the ring? This whole big, big place inside such a little thing that I could hold in my hand?" Sam said in a hurry before she remember all the wondrous stuff that she had seen the artifact produce "I... Sir Eurantian I don't want to leave you behind... but a demon wanted to take Claire away and I was just embracing her not to get taken away when I suddenly got here... I need to keep her away from him!"

"Oak-Father... In your name I shall strike with all the rage of our natural world!" says Mellara the Druid Woman, catching a second wind as she feels blissful to be able hear the voice of her God speaking to her.

"Pixies, watch my strikes and drive your magic into the wounds I make and into those our companions inflict on this outsider!"

With such words the druid launched herself to the attack, relentlessly hacking into what remained of the monster.

If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.
