I mean... nothing's stopping anyone else from having supernatural, but still natural, powers, that are a known phenomenon in parts of the world. It's not like they took steroids. They just happen to luck into a secret mystical training method that makes you really good at a lot of physical stuff, which translates easily into traditional sports.

It's like... if Steve Rogers competed at track and field in the world of Marvel Comics 616, that would be unfair, because he was basically gifted powers by 'chemicals'. However, if Pietro Maximoff competed at track in the world of Marvel Comics 616, that would be fine (though he'd get hated on) because he's born with his powers, and can't help it.

Chad was ridiculously tough and strong well before he awakened his powers. I know it's hard to reconcile with his treatment for most of the series, but those were two of his defining traits.

He doesn't need to use his Fullbring to be an incredible boxer.

There was, IIRC, one time when The Thing became a professional wrestler. That was, however, unfair to the human wrestlers, and made for boring matches, so he ended up helping to create/joining a superhuman wrestling circuit.

Of course, that's not an option in a world with The Masquerade. By the way, I wonder how the Bleach human world would turn out if the truth about the afterlife became common knowledge.

Is Ichigo a doctor or nurse or something?

I mean its never specified if he's actually helping his dads business or just living with his family like most eldest children do.

[up] Hard to tell. It does look like he's got the house and clinic. Since Uryu is clearly working at his father's hospital, that would maintain the parallels between the two (and their fathers). However, if that's the case, where is Isshin? And Uryu working at the hospital doesn't tell us if Ryuken is still there (if we look at the parallels between the fathers, Isshin having moved away from the clinic might imply something about Ryuken as well).

Hard to know anything for certain. Perhaps Kubo will explain it one day.

I don't like that parallel shit.

So Ichigo & Uryu have to pick the exact same career choice & paths as their dads just cause of symbolism? It makes them less their own men really.

Doesn't Uryu love sewing? He should have been a fashion designer & if Ichigo wanted to protect his friends being a cop or something is a good career choice.

No matter how grave the condition, the Kurosaki Clinic never loses a patient.

As for Isshin, I mentioned before that he's probably searching for Masaki's soul.

There's no evidence for that that I know of. We don't even know for sure that her soul still exists.

True, we don't know what happens to souls devoured by Menos when the Menos is killed. Still, I would hardly be surprised that Isshin would go on a quest to find out once his kids were grown.

If the souls are maintained within the Hollow that eats them, then each Espada's death would've freed probably hundreds of souls. I like to think they are, given that enough of Kaien was in the Hollow that ate him for his powers to be used by the Hollow that ate him.

Unless its been said that they don't

Let's see how happy about that he is once the brain damage starts kicking in.

Guy took a steel beam to the back and barely flinched even before his powers manifested. I feel more sorry for the guy who actually lands a hit on him.

Isn't Chad still kinda cheating?

I mean don't boxers have to fight in specific weight classes or something which Chad doesn't exactly have one for people of his strentgh?

Doesn't Uryu love sewing? He should have been a fashion designer & if Ichigo wanted to protect his friends being a cop or something is a good career choice.

Kubo is the one who created the symbolism, and he's neither the first nor last to have two characters parallel each other (and be Generation Xerox of their respective parents). Hell, he even made Uryu left-handed as a deliberate counterbalance to Ichigo.

Anyway, since Uryu appears to have followed in his father's footsteps, he'll still get to sew - people instead of clothes.

Being a doctor is a good career choice, too - and it also protects lives.

All joking aside, it's still entirely possible the accumulated damage Chad had taken might enact a toll later in life, as he grows older. It might not. I suppose it's all to anyone's imagination, and a shounen most likely won't ever want to entertain the darkest notion, but those things often manifest over an extended time, and just because someone isn't exhibiting a problem in the peak of their youth it doesn't mean it won't ever show later down the road.

Still, if it ever becomes an issue, it's more likely the actual supernatural fights against overwhelming odds will hold the lion's share of the fault over the fights at the ring.

Unless Chad ever challenges Daffy Duck. Then he's toast.
