Does this fight hold the greatest dis-arming record in Bleach or what,we're already at 3 in the Shinigami side.Not sure if Pernida counts,we could bring it up to 5 that way.

No wait,I think we're still in Yama vs WW and Aizen's range.Previous record holder,4 WW arms and 1 Yama arm.

I feel like this is setting up Nemu to either a.) betray Mayuri, or b.) be the one to land the final blow on Pernida for some reason.

The cover is so Naruto-Sasuke, my god.

I remember when Ishida used a sword in the Hueco Mundo Arc and said:"Quincies always use bow and arrows."

I think Mayuri implied he created Nemu a short time before the SS arc...Maybe I'm just going too far, and he just aluded the times were peaceful before Ichigo came to SS for the first time."Innumerable battles"...

Who's that pink-haired Stern on the cover, behind Uryu? Is that Q? I don't see her anywhere else.

It's gotta be Q- there are 27 people on that cover, and I can identify the other 26.

Anyway, we learn a bit more about Nemu, but beyond that, not much happened.

We got to see that Pernida can use a bow with one hand.

Heck Pernida can use a bow on each finger!

That's a nifty trick.

I find it funny I'm seeing more progression in Mayuri fighting the Soul King's... wife than in One Piece for the last 5 chapters... at least thats how I'm seeing it.

Actually interested in where its going since we may have hints that Nemu's not the only one with her name... then again, there were theories she was based from Shutara or Mayuri went mad when a child of his died...

From what I can tell from Nemu's full "name" and my limited knowledge of Japanese, she's the 7th Nemu, and Mayuri just terminates and replaces them, which makes me feel horrible for her.

I don't think he terminates them- I think they just kind of tend to get killed. I don't mean to suggest Mayuri's blameless in that- gods knows a few of them probably died because of ill-conceived 'experiments' or fits of abusive anger- but I don't he's just killing them whenever he gets bored either.

This chapter was basically Super Smash Bros fanfiction.

Oddly enough, this chapter seemed to be implying that he's actually grown attached to this one, if for no other reason that she's been around for so much longer than the others.

Mayuri may have some attachment to this Nemu, but he is still an abusive asshole. The way he talks about how it would be difficult to make another one of her and she can only die when he tells her to reminds me of something an abusive parent or lover would say to their child or partner.

Mayuri = Gendo and Nemu = Rei?!?!?

Baby, Hold Your Hand 3 (Mad Lullaby No. 7):

• Pernida gets out a pinch with ease, and shows off more hand tricks.
• Interesting, so the Nemu we've always been looking at was the seventh. Now, I'm conflicted. Was Mayuri being his douchey self, or was he showing a twisted sense of concern?
• Pernida has a lot of Quincy pride. So the Soul King's a Quincy? He apparently hates the Soul Reapers for confining him. But then again, Mimihagi stood against Yhwach. Ah, the differing opinions of divine limbs.

You know, the way Pernida is getting smarter and talks about quincies kind of makes me think of Yhwach. I wonder if he's actually just another limb or something similar?

Well, yeah, that goes without saying. I'm not saying he loves her, because he's probably incapable of that, but this chapter hinted at a side of him we've never seen before.

Incapable of love? I don't know if I'd go that far. I think he'd like to think of himself as above such things, but, well... The way he attacks Nemu has always come across as a kind of abusive lover or parent type thing, and you just don't really get that personal touch unless there are some feeling there. Especially when you contrast it with how coldly he blows up random mooks.

According to Mayuri, Kira is dead, but his body is being kept alive by implanting the souls of his comrades into Kira's body. His reiatsu and strength are now Captain-tier.

Shaz Domino is V the Viability, a creation of Gremmy with the ability to restore his body indefinitely- this power allows him to become entirely separate from Gremmy and his given his own Shrift ('The Stigma').

Shaz tries to use the C46 to get information on the Hougyoku, to further perfect his undying body. Kira crushes him under some rubble with Wabisuke, pushing his body into the core of Soul Society indefinitely. Also there's a girl involved.

He wasn't very viable.
