So I just watched it. It's good so far. I like the seiyuu they chose for Kirino and Kyousuke, they both did a good job.
Waaait just a second. Is Kyousuke's father voiced by Kenpachi?!
It's been fun.Dunno. I can only identify Kyousuke, his friend, and Kirino positively. Kyousuke's friend sounded a lot like Kana Hanazawa though, but her voice seemed too drawn out...

My FF.net accountHm... well, there's no listing for Tachiki Fumihiko under any of the seiyuu listings I can find for Ore Imo, but that's not all that surprising, given that he had about five words in this episode.
It's been fun.I wasn't interested in this show at all, but Mapi convinced me to watch the first episode and now I think it'll be quite enjoyable. I thought the depiction of Kirino's otaku-ness regarding the whole siscon thing was surprisingly honest. I can't imagine many other anime taking the "I don't know" route.
Also I love Kyousuke because he's so ridiculously neurotic. He got in the fetal position twice in one episode! Yuuichi Nakamura goes so over-the-top with his voice acting that it's hard not to enjoy it.
Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember them, you are not alone."Oh, hey, yeah, I do that all the time... when I'm switching discs out, I put them away without matching up the covers and the discs."
...
"More like, what the fuck is this?!"
It's been fun.Still cautious about this one. It's looking good, but I could see it turning out to be terrible pretty easily.
Ah, so I wasn't the only one hearing Gendo Ikari there ?

Better than I thought it would be. Also, Kirino has a copy of Final Fantasy IV in her closet.
Ecstasy is Sustained IntensityI like how the characters don't seem to be too basic archetypes, they really come off as fresh.
First episode impressions: Not a fan of the humor, but I have to admit that it's got an intriguing concept and comes off as surprisingly slightly-charming.
MAL Profile | Underwhelming blogSo far, it's very charming. Even more so then the manga. It doesn't happen often that I prefer the anime to the manga, so I guess that's a big thumps-up to the animators.
They're both based on a light novel series. I find that manga adaptations tend to be worse than anime ones, so that's not really a surprise.

I've heard the manga described as "looking like it was drawn by a porn artist" and that seems to sum up its particular interpretation fairly accurately.
I think it was, actually, i'll get back to you

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!$70, huh? Could be worse, I guess.
There's plenty of other things I'd rather buy first though.
I'm also not completely sure what expression she's supposed to be... expressing.

I also heard Kirino say something about "Tengen Toppa".

Watch Symphogear^ Me Too!.
Just posting once to say that watching this show is like seeing myself in a mirror. So freaking surreal...
My FF.net account[1] It maybe Sankaku but man that's funny. (site NSFW)
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Funny in a facepalmy-way indeed.
Apparently the author of the light novels agrees that this was a bad move, in terms of giving ammunition to the enemy.
The industry getting in a huff over it just makes it more likely to draw attention honestly.
Now that this topic has been brought to my attention again, I'd like to take the opportunity to note that the main two characters inthis show interact in a way that's very reminiscent of Kyon and Haruhi. You've got the snarky male narrator who is dragged apparently kicking and screaming into the problems of the "perfect" yet surprisingly lacking in common sense female character with a forceful personality.
It doesn't match up precisely and I wouldn't say it's as well written so far, but it does seem to be going for that kind of chemistry. I wonder if that's intentional.
This image◊ of Kyousuke reminds me of Steve Carell so much for some reason.
