Dead and buried. I never saw how he died, but he was one of several dead Avengers briefly brought back in Busiek's run. I don't think they ever brought him back after that, but I could be wrong.

The fact this comic featured something so tactless that Linkara had to throw up a trigger warning saying that he'd be discussing the material for about three minutes, really says a lot about how low this comic sunk. This isn't the first time he's refused to show panels due to disturbing imagery, but this is the first time he's had to add timestamps for sensitive viewers. Just... wow, Liefeld.

Personally, I actually went and found the image in question, just to see it for myself. And after seeing it, yikes. Linkara had every right not to show it, that's for sure.

Yeah, I agree with that. My stomach felt pretty sick after checking it out myself. Though not as sick as when I tried to read Berserk.

I mean this is a bit different then say Hank Hall's situation where He clearly needs someone but his pals the titans leave him high in dry and then wonder why he jumps off the deep end. Thats due to writers changing the relationship of the titans are only really close to the core group and if your an outlier you might get lucky to be invited to the Christmas party

The most poorly executed Thanatos Gambit I've ever seen. And it draws to attention that you need to be REALLY careful with that trope in order to avoid Unfortunate Implications.
