Oh, this looks like a good lineup. I think I need to get back into this.

Would someone give me a quick summary of what happened in the movie? I might watch it eventually, but until then, I'd just prefer to dive back into the reviews.

Quick sum-up of the movie A manned spaceship to Jupiter goes off the rails when the crew pick up Malachite's Hand and accidentally revive Mechakara. Meanwhile, Linkara has a realization about how dangerous his life is and the stress hits him all at once. Allen gets Linkara to form a rescue mission with the help of various other critics from the site and go to confront Mechakara. Mechakara has reformatted the ship and its crew, and intends to kill Linkara and his friends. A big fight happens in of the Executor's bases on Europa, Mechakara is killed for the time being, and Linkara gets renewed purpose in life. I left out some sub-plots regarding the other characters, but that about sums it up.

The short version is linkaras finally breaking down after six years of dealing with elder gods and wannabe conqurors and is considering quitting after his birthday. He gets a call from his government contact allen that they had lost contact with a ship called caelestis when it hovered over the remains of the villians base from to boldly flee. So linkara his possee (minus linksano), allen, cinema snob, nash, marzgurl and obscurus] lupa go to investigate...then it turns into linkara vs mechakara 3

I see. Anything that might effect the future?

Outside of a mention or two, not really unless Mechakara comes back. However, the story arc from the last Halloween episodes will most likely come back, as it introduces a new character, some more lore, and seems to set up the next Big Bad. You can read the recap of those episodes here.

Agreed, it definitely sums up why Batman is such a good hero and why Crazy Steve doesn't deserve to wear the cowl. Farewell Crazy Steve, you were the just the worst.

On the plus side, more Pokémon next week.

It truely is the end of an era. Farewell Crazy Steve, at least you allowed for some of Atop the Fourth Wall's best episodes. Now just what will he review for Pokemon's aniversary next is the next big question.

Sometimes, I wonder if Linkara over-hates Frank Miller. Granted, he might be exaggerating, but he treats Frank Miller like the Devil. It's basically A-Logging towards Chris-Chan, only with someone important

Well there are a worse writers then Frank Miller, there are worse people in the comics industry then Frank Miller, however there are few people who get away with as much as Frank Miller does. That's probably where the rage comes from. Most of the time when another writer says something awful, they get crap from other people fans, etc, but when Frank does, he gets a pass from everyone. And I do mean everyone for anything.

There's a reason for this, Frank has built up arguably more good will in comics then anyone currently alive aside from Stan Lee. The amount of Good stories he wrote, are very numerous, and though Linkara has never admitted it, he's left a bigger mark on comics then most writers.

You have his character defining runs on Daredevil. On Batman he's responsible for a litany of bad comics, but that's because before he went nuts and apparently got really sick for a while with a disease he'd never talk about is, before that he wrote Batman: Year One, which before the new 52 was the defacto origin for Batman post crises meaning for over 20 years Frank was the guy who created the starting point for Batman's continuity, he created Robocop, yes, Frank Miller created the Robocop character and wrote the first film. He wrote undeniable classics like Sin City and the original Dark Knight Returns, before shitting on his work with the sequels.

However Frank's style of writing, along with the likes of Alan Moore and others heralded a push for Darker stories in the comic world that would have been fine in moderation, you know with good writers, however that's not what happened and we got people who really shouldn't be writing stories at all, writing shitty dark stories just because those were what were popular, ignoring that the reason the stories were good weren't because they were dark, but because they were well written. But Frank eventually lost whatever made him a decent writer probably because he let his head get bigger then it already was, and started believing his own hype and starting printing garbage.

As a person Frank was always ugly inside though, whatever writing talent he had along time ago aside, his stories, as well written as they were reveal what kind of person Frank was and still is, his ideas, his thoughts on women, and what he believes are good, cool, and sympathetic are very warped and twisted, which might have been the appeal when he could write, but now that he's sort of lost it with age and disease... everyone is lukewarm on it.

This is probably why Linkara hate's him so much though, look at the comics Linkara couldn't stand, and I'm not talking about bad comics either, just comics he doesn't like. The Identity Crises, is a perfect example of a comic Linkara can't stand but can't call bad either, a unnecessary darkening of the DC Universe, heroes fighting each other is another concept Lewis doesn't care for, and those are both concepts Frank Miller, above anyone else has spearheaded.

To Lewis, Frank Miller is everything that's wrong with comics, period. There are no redeeming factors for him in regards to Frank, and for someone who is so passionate about comics, passionate enough to write articles after articles about them, and create a weekly webseries for 8 years only missing one week out of those eight, you might as well be Hitler.

Here's the thing, Lewis is a person, and people have biases and are fallible, even experts on their fields get called out when they make a mistake. Frank Miller isn't everything wrong with comics, he's done a lot for them in fact, however he's not a good person, and his writing as of the 90s has been really bad at best, and outright offensive, racist, sexist, and dimwitted to boot.
