The tv show Arrow was very Nolan Batman inspired in the beginning, and the Teen Titans cartoon (both the original and TT Go) has had a few jokes about Speedy being a "clone" of Robin.
As someone who hasn't seen all that much of Linkara's storylines, I can say that the movie definitely looks... Um... Well, I'm sure the CGI will be good.

Just a person. He/him.The trailer's a bit more downbeat than I was expecting it to be, but I'm sure that the actual film will be more exciting. I'm sure that this is where the conclusion to last year's story-line will be explained, considering they show clips of it and everything.
I also realized that this is pretty much the closest thing we're gonna get to a follow-up to To Boldly Flee. It seems to be aiming for a similar tone and premise.
Supergirl! Also, another cameo by Aquaman on the title card.
I'm going to be honest, and I hope you guys don't get mad at me.
I'm really not enjoying Linkara take on the shows and movies. He becoming very predictable with his jokes, and the fact he doesn't even take the time to see the adaptions of said shows just feel dishonest to me. It waste the opportunities to make more jokes and references.
I'm not saying he should stop reviewing, i'm saying he should take a time out. His audience is not growing, said by the man himself. Why do you think is the reason? Outside of the hype aversion That Guy with the glasses is having, and Blip being gone, is the fact Linkara is not amusing anymore.
Sorry if i'm being too harsh on the guy :/ remember Quality > quantity
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.Since when is Linkara 'taking on the show and movies?' He has never 'tak[en] on the shows and movies'; he takes on the comics that said 'shows and movies' are based off of. He doesn't need to see the shows and movies, because that's not what he's reviewing, and most of the stuff he reviews doesn't have a given show or movie based off of it anyway, or at least based off of the specific material he's reviewing. He's not reviewing shows or movies; he's reviewing comic books, and anything else is secondary to that.
I also think that AT 4 W is still pretty darn funny, and if his audience isn't growing, it's not due to a lack of quality. If he wanted a larger audience, he'd have to change up his format and the content he reviews to the point where it wouldn't be the same show. Besides, it's not going to last forever regardless; nothing does. But that's okay, because 'nothing is beautiful because it lasts.' Substitute 'beautiful' for 'pretty darn good', and you get the idea.
Hm, I suppose.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.I think he's still pretty funny. Granted, he might rely on running gags a little too much, but I think they're good running gags, at least.
To be honest, though, I'm not here for the jokes or the storylines - I'm here to hear him talk about comics.
Seriously, though, what do shows and movies have to do with anything on this show? When did he ever talk about such a thing?
Oh God! Natural light! What i'm saying is, I found his take on the movies and series of "i'm not going to see it because I don't have time" to be like wasting a good opportunity. Remember, many of his running gag are based on something like a series, so him not getting new references (except for Steven Universe, but that's different) just looks kinda weird for me.
Just giving an opinion.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.I don't think the quality of the running gags equals the quality of the show as a whole, nor does it equate to a larger viewer base. The only thing that would change things up in the way you seem to want is if he switched to reviewing movies and shows instead of comics, which would defeat the original purpose of the show entirely.
So he doesn't have time. That's fine, he's got a ton of other stuff to do. Maybe he would like to see them, but really can't find the time.
Oh God! Natural light!Well you got a point there.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.Black Widow's origin. And again with Aquaman on the title card. Am I forgetting why Aquaman's been on the title card each week?
Its a joke on the fact aquamans first appearance was in the same issue as green arrows...and linkara deliberately skipping it
" I did the right thing, didn't I? It all worked out in the end." "In the end? Nothing ends, Adrian. Nothing ever ends."Kinda disappointing, really. Black Widow is barely on the book.
"Yeah, I don't make fun of Aquaman, but i'm going to skip his origin because I'm a dick"
Poor Arthur XD I couldn't help but laugh at his misfortune.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.So is Linkara watching Steven Universe.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.I'd assume he watches the series; this isn't the first time he's referenced it.
Yeah, he's a fan, I know that much.
Oh God! Natural light! He's tweeted about it before. I think he made a joke about the character Peridot after the episode Catch and Release aired.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?So far, so good. I like all the character interactions and the little continuity nods here and there. My favorite jokes so far are either the Critic's cameo, or Brad's attempts to get everyone to watch Salo.
I'm guessing that Mechakara's the one messing around with the Caelestis. The crew was looking through the debris of the Death Bomb, they found a small object (possibly Mechakara's hand), and I'm pretty sure that he's building himself a new body judging by the ending of the first part.
Fun ride, hoping for the next part.
I was missing the characters interactions. Though, I've been becoming very cinical with the direction of the shots, I was expecting something a little more profesional looking than the cheap shots of the show. Yeah, I know, expecting too much, just saying.
Then again, the budget was not that big in the first place, so who am I to complain. At least the humor is fun for me.
