Segata Sanshiro has to be one of the most awesome marketing campaigns in the history of advertising.
I wouldn't even mind if he burst into my home and judo tossed me for never owning a Sega Saturn. He's just that amazing.

Early video games commercials were indeed awesome. Like that one where Sega Guy and Sony Guy torture Nintendo Guy to tell them the secrets about Lylat Wars.

Not only that, but the guy who plays him, Hiroshi Fujioka, is also the Very first Kamen Rider. And he has Chuck Norris esque myths and facts about him.
And He saved the Sega Dreamcast by stopping it by being destroyed from a missle!

My personal favorite commercial is the soccer one where he just throws a guy at the ball from the sidelines, which, because he's Segata Fucking Sanshiro, is perfectly legal and results in a goal for his team.
