Ok it was mentioned there is not a thread for Law Enforcement Officers (LEO for short)and other similar jobs for discussion.
This is for discussing the actual jobs, ranks, training, culture, relations to military bodies that exist, and any other variety of topics that can arise pertaining to the World of Policing.
The war on drugs is just Prohibition 2.0 only it has gone on longer, killed more people, and empowered way more criminal enterprise.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.That was completely and totally illegal.
I hope she sues the shit out of all of them and wins millions.
"Psssh. Even if you could catch a miracle on a picture any person would probably delete it to make space for more porn." - AszurCorrect me if I'm wrong, but I thought the strip search was supposed to happen inside a jail or police station? Where's the logic here? Why couldn't they arrest her on suspicion of narcotics posession and release her if they didn't find anything? And how is it "resisting arrest" if you're rights are being violated like that?
I would say "end the war on drugs" since history is repeating itself again. But if that happens, I predict an surge in the death toll.
Answer no master, never the slave Carry your dreams down into the grave Every heart, like every soul, equal to breakNot likely to even approach anything that has happened by maintaining the prohibition state. Between the power we have effectively handed the various criminal enterprises and the numerous abuses of the law in the name of the prohibition in general a lot more people died.
Who watches the watchmen?Putting this here 'cause Malaysia has made it a law enforcement issue now.

Kuala Lumpur is requesting a meet with tech companies and reps from Facebook, Twitter and Google to block any "False" news regarding the 1MDB case.
Of course, some analysts and democracy activists think that it's related to the sacking of officials who have gone on the record to question the prime minister about the "donation" he received.
Totally not suspicious activity at all.

This is maybe hilarious. Or not.
What's hilarious is the misuse of "mundane". Because in Britain, the mundane isn't being armed...
In other news. Super Trooper 2 Is a thing. And they got their funding Now if only we could get a Hot Fuzz 2.

Who watches the watchmen?Least SB wasn't involved.
It is probable cause for a pat-down or vehicle search. If a strip-search is deemed to be necessary, then the subject will be taken to the police station and searched behind closed doors. NOT IN THE MIDDLE OF A PUBLIC PARKING LOT.
"Yup. That tasted purple."This. Not the first time the police have gone way over the line with very invasive searches.
Who watches the watchmen?Cracked does not disappoint...
...and the same goes an for an quick Google search of "arrested for X"

Answer no master, never the slave Carry your dreams down into the grave Every heart, like every soul, equal to breakI could see drone deployed tear gas having tactical applications, but tasers?
Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects.PNP's translating Miranda Rights to various languages. What I don't get is the Taiwanese version though... I'm not sure if it's Taiwanese Mandarin/Hokkien or something else.
I can think of a reason to use a flying taser. Get a drone into a position it is hard or too dangerous to get a person. The drone gets clubbed or shot big whoop.
Who watches the watchmen?Yeah, I can see value in that too.
I know that, "He's got a gun!" is thrown around too often these days as an excuse to shoot a guy, but in situations where a suspect may have an actual gun, sending a taser-armed drone with a camera lens after him could be safer for both officer and suspect. If the drone has no lethal weapons, there is no possibility that the drone will panic and kill an unarmed suspect. If the suspect actually has a gun, there is less risk of harm to an apprehending officer if the taser is fired by a drone. It's also easier to nonlethally resolve suspects with guns that way, because without risk of harm to the officer, there remains no need to employ lethal force.
Everybody wins.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.And I've got this mental image of a sniper in a tower somewhere. Why send cops up the stairs to get at him when you could just pop up in the window with a quadcopter without warning?
Pretty much yes. Mr I am holed up and have the easy way buttoned up. Hey whats that sound - zttttttt -

Oh just stop the war on drugs already. When you're pulling crap like this, it shows just how broken it is.
There was an opinion article a while back (can't find it, sorry) about how the ability of police to strip its victims naked goes beyond mere policing and is a form of psychological dominance/power/control. This seems like a key example of that sickening practice.
