I think it was the abridger's girlfriend actually (who was also an abridger)
If I recall, the actual abridger didn't really seem to care that much, mostly taking offense they they spoofed a really old episode. (Having watched Metal Gear Solid Abridged, I can say that it does get better. But the episode that was riffed was pretty awful)
