This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

Everything's buggy, you just have to go back and correct what mistakes there are. Though I guess if the browsers would seem to disagree with whatever you want to do, you can't help it. The keypads on iPads aren't the easiest things to operate, harder than those on android mobiles.

So now I get it, if I have something I want to discuss, I'll do it in the discussion instead. Edits are for altering of potentially error prone tropes, so wouldn't try to discuss on there again. tryourbreast: I've lifted all the blocks except YKTTW at this time.
I've discussed it with the other mods, and we feel that your YKTTWs are weak, both in how they're written and in many cases, in whether or not they are actually tropes. Please take a look at the pages TV Tropes Customs, Not A Trope, How To Write An Example, Naming A Trope, and the YKTTW Guidelines.
Get back to me here when you can explain what problems we were seeing with the YKTTWs, and we'll consider lifting the YKTTW block.

How they're written: Usually the writing of the first draft and just before launch by me are totally different that they can't be considered the same anymore. I really need lots of time to go through the refining process. It should be okay, right?
Example writing: The problem is, I don't really watch any work at all. The works that I actually know about are really few, and most of them are browser games. There is no way I can give examples if I have no knowledge about it! Yeah, you can say that "don't make YKTT Ws then if you can't even give any examples", but then I guess it's becoming a bit ridiculous.
And perhaps sometimes I didn't convey the information when I write them myself instead of copy-pasting other's example comments. I can remember instances of this.
Whether or not they're tropes: Actually in lots of cases it's debateable whether it's People Sitting On Chairs or something. Or we won't need a trope repair shop and YKTTW to discuss. I can, and will discard my YKTTW when I'm convinced that it's PSOD, but seriously, most people don't tell why it's PSOD when saying that it is. I guess you still need Show, Don't Tell on this. "It's PSOD because in this way it doesn't convey any meaning" is definitely better than "It's PSOD because it doesn't convey any meaning". Same for The Same But More and The Same But More Specific.
And of course, this whole thing is based on the assumption that there is enough discussion. That is, if I'm going to get enough replies when I'm not bumping them 10 times a day. I guess not.
Besides, I'm not those kind of people that are fond of making general tropes. The wiki is very likely to have these already, and my mindset doesn't work like that. So my YKTT Ws end up like these.
Perhaps some little arguing in YKTTW comments: Yeah, I'm aware of that. Bad habit. Must be corrected.

Uncertain! Indignant? Confused! Attempting to add a NSFW warning to sidekick girl(background calender may have barbie doll anatomy, still the costumes are a minor case). Probably got suspended for censoring swearwords, somewhat annoying, but I am up to discussion. Update: oh hey, number of post corresponds to the current year! probably a record or something.

Upon further review, "The Bluenose Bowdlerizer rarely has anything other than moral indignation to offer a wiki — they are usually too busy making it "safe for children", regardless of whether children are part of the intended audience or not, to actually contribute anything of value." is, by itself, insufficient as an argument. There must also be an argument for why Bowdlerization is A Bad Thing, and thus actually detrimental to the wiki in order to be grounds for suspension. Update: Bowdlerization as in bleeping, not change the story to make it less disturbing.

You don't get to decide what is and is not extraneous. Going on a rampage through the wiki with a black marker pen is not something we tolerate, regardless of how justified you think it is, and just because you disagree with a rule does not mean it ceases to apply to you.

True, however, I believe This Very Wiki has made this stance clear: "Not every troper who removes a few curse words is one of these, though. Sometimes vulgar words are gratuitously inserted into fscking articles making them come off as immature. Removing such words when used inappropriately is encouraged on this wiki, especially since The Google Incident. " I did not, to my knowledge, "Go on a rampage". Once again, I am sorry if I have offended anyone. To clarify, my interpretation of "Rampage" would be deleting articles, spamming forums, possibly a virus or two. I suspect that you have a different explanation, given that I was suspended, not banned, please do not demonize me without good reason.

A suspension means that we want to stop the problem activity while we converse with you. If we feel that the problem is not likely to improve, we will not remove the suspension.
What you have been doing is censorship in the most basic sense, and not even intelligent censorship, like changing the wording of the phrases. No, you just saw fit to insert "censor asterisks" in words that only the most idiotic of people would ever be fooled by.
You also did it on a page specifically about those so-called dirty words that you apparently hate so much, then you cite Family Friendly as a reason for doing so, when our policy in no way gives license to do anything like that.
Since it also appears that this was your sole purpose for creating a wiki account in the first place — i.e., you have no useful edits to your name — we will not be restoring your privileges.

Cited family friendly? When? I did mention it when I deleted the conan picture on the combat pantheon, but that was nudity, are you talking about someone else?
Also, replacing them with things like "the F word" or "the C word" rather than the vowels with asterisks would get the same message across, assuming they were not the articles on The Seven Dirty Words or Country Matters, neither of which I edited, or Quotes, which I did, but now realize was less than acceptable. Other points:
- I do not hate swearwords. I do feel uncomfortable around them.
- Have you looked at all my edits? I created this account to add interesting tidbits to this wiki, and would, among other things, like to be of benefit to other people and myself, and if I agree to avoid editing the previously mentioned articles or any quotes, I am reasonably sure we can work out an agreement.
- please explain why spelling swearwords out to people (who may or may not know they exist) on pages not labeled as such is a good thing.

Do you use safari browser ? I'm using a second generation Ipad. I dont know why but Safari is just buggy for me. Puffin browser doesnt have the glitches but scrolling is a pain on it.
