This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

Can I ask what I was banned for? I recall getting a note that I added an example to a page that was deemed heavily biased and rude, but I made sure to alter the example to be much more neutral.
D'oh! And I had just re-read the indentation rules. Sorry. Slipped my mind. (Though I think I figured, since all the FF games were in two-bullet lists already, moving XIII around would look weird)

Ok, I was banned about one to two weeks ago for creating main pages where there shouldn't be main pages. I have talked to one of the other tropers about the ban and what it was about, and they told me to come back here and appeal. I'm fully aware of what type of page goes where now and I would like to be able to edit again.

If you want to add examples to a sublist, you must first make sure that all other examples in that list are at the same level, moving them if necessary.

Greetings.
I am here, obviously, due to a suspension. I think I know what caused it, too. So let me explain my side of things.
I had a different account previously, under the name of Nesariel. Sadly, I am not able to retrieve my previous password. So I did what seemed to be a rational thing: started a new account.
It was important for me to do so because the work for which I have been carefully growing a page (Webcomic/Autumn Bay), the subject of which I own, has undergone a massive reboot, rendering the previous categories inaccurate (which would lead to frustration on the part of those seeking examples of the tropes listed). The strips which are referenced by that page are no longer on the web.
I removed a massive amount of them, leaving only the applicable page links, and came to look over what was there. Imagine my surprise when the links were all back. Imagine my further surprise when my editing privileges had been revoked.
Thus, I am here to appeal my suspension on the grounds that what may have seemed an act of vandalism was, in fact, an attempt to make the page in question more accurate.
Thank you for your time and effort in helping me clear this matter.
P.S. I had also begun the process of clearing links to the page of my work from other pages.

~Prof Etheric: It is important to remember that nobody "owns" any content on TV Tropes. Whether you like the fact that a work has been noticed by the public and has an article on our wiki or not, you can't arbitrarily attempt to remove it.

I understand that I do not "own" the page. However, that doesn't change the fact that the page is now WILDLY inaccurate. As I said, I was attempting to make it accurate, and for that I was suspended.
To be perfectly honest, this situation seems increasingly unjust, to myself and, more importantly, to users of this wiki.
