This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.
The Forum Rules apply here.
Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

Because you don't edit there.
"Yup. That tasted purple."@Fighteer I am aware of that, but I am trying to rely less on using the edit button. Why? Because I don't want my posts to look all messed up. But it's just only a suggestion. I don't wanna end up agitating the mod over a small bit of criticism.
Anyway, till someone completes a post about a new set of tropes at the "Is this an example" forums, I'm gonna have to take a break from that forum so I don't look like I'm double posting.
What did I do wrong?
Edit Warring.
"Yup. That tasted purple."@Ninplanet123: To expand on DBL's rather laconic explanation, you apparently have some issues with taking the Ensemble Dark Horse trope way too seriously with respect to the Pokemon franchise.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"With that attitude, you won't be welcome here ever again.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I know my spelling and grammar were terrible and i probably had some zero context thrown in to boot, but if i could explain myself please. I have been reading this wiki for several years and really only wanted to make a profile so i could read things marked spoilers. Anyways i decided to try my hand at actually making a page, but i didn't know about you're policies yet, so i left the mistakes in planning to fix them the next morning. Anyways if you don't unsuspend me i will understand (And once again, my favorite part is reading this wiki.) but it would be nice if i could make edits as well. Just hoping you consider it, sincerely Brothermakingmovies.
We require adequate English from our contributors. As much as you may want to edit the wiki, it doesn't help if we have to fix everything you do. If you are serious about wanting to improve, we offer some threads for getting help with English and help with example writing. Demonstrating adequacy is a requirement for being allowed to edit.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I am currently working on my grammer and spelling and that english forum is defiantly helping. I have a question though: does the ban include WMG pages?
Wiki suspensions are for all articles. That post contains numerous errors, FYI.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I see, my bad, didn't realize that was a rule. For the record, if zero context examples aren't allowed then you guys must have a lot of work to do, because they're used in loads of articles on this site, especially character sheets. Anyway, can you remove my suspension, cuz i'd like to keep editing.
I'd like to formally request my use of editing back please
If you can agree to stop edit warring.
"Yup. That tasted purple."I got a suspension, didn't know why but then couldn't come here to ask because my handle was only a few hours old. I forgot until just now several days later when I tried to post a Head scratcher. Now I can post on the forum and I'd like to know what's happening?
I'm genuinely not sure what I could have done, all I ever do is post head scratchers and not very many of those?

It was not my intention to start an edit war, and it shall not happen again
What did I do wrong and how do I fix it?
@thecookiefactor: The rule exists. We still have a lot of articles that need fixing, though, which is probably why you didn't notice it. But when we have cleaned an article, it will have ZCE's commented out and a similarly commented note somewhere near the top. Ignoring those is what gets you suspended.
@The JJBL: Let us be clear here (my colleage can be a bit laconic). We don't give a damn whether you like or dislike Steven Moffat's treatment of Doctor Who. You will, however, respect other people's opinions in the matter, or you don't get to edit the wiki.
@yooopy: It doesn't matter what part of the wiki you're editing. We expect that you write decently while doing so. The sort of thing I'm quoting below (from Headscratchers.Sleepy Hollow) is unacceptable — missing capitalization and punctuation:
@dorkknight529: Two things. First, you have a Natter problem. Second, you uncommented a bunch of Zero Context Examples. People ignoring this rule is getting to be a theme on the wiki.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Oh thank god for that. I thought it was going to turn out I'd somehow denied the holocaust or something without realising it.
If you give me my editing privileges back it'll be capital letters and periods from here on out.

Along with good grammar and such. If you have any questions, run your edits past this thread for assistance. I'll restore your privileges.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"The point has been made clear
So apparently, I'm suspended because I should move contested content to the discussion page and not remove it more than once.
May i kindly ask what error i made and how i may resolve it?
That's the gist of it. You got suspended for edit warring on MassEffect.Mass Effect Race Tropes.
You got suspended for problems with your grammar, which the lack of capitalised first-person "I"'s in your post seems to demonstrate fairly well. I'd recommend checking out the "Get Help With English Here" thread for help on that.
"Yup. That tasted purple."
I know now I have to change my Zero Context Example mistake expanding'em in the editing history. My question is how do I save my modified examples ? Everytime I go in my editing history page they're gone.
