This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.
The Forum Rules apply here.
Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

Also, I usually add in bullet points to try to reduce clutter. Sometimes it can be hard to read paragraphs that are wide and don't have 1/2 inch spacing.
Actually, is it possible for the team at Tv Tropes to add in a 1/2 spacing to their pages to make it easier to read?
No, our format is what it is. Bullet points are not paragraph separators, they are for distinct examples. If you have to write more than one paragraph in an example, you're almost certainly doing it wrong.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Okay. I can understand why you don't want us overdoing it on bullet points. In some cases, I sometimes have a problem telling between direct examples and natter(Reading too many biased flame wars over video games and politics).
@Fighteer: That's not fair.
That's what my seven year old child says when I tell him his bedtime is not up for negotiation. Our rules are not negotiable, either. Write acceptably or you don't edit.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"So... can I edit yet? Pretty please?
If you follow style rules, sure. I'll release the suspension.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"@Fighteer I'm very sorry! But that's what you want, fine, judge me, bury me with all of the criticism on how I type/write/speak. Not all of us can speak or type proper English, it's not fair to anyone who's new here.

You've been here nearly a year though. There's also a place for people for whom English is not their first language to get help.
"Yup. That tasted purple."But I don't want my speech to be assessed by Grammar Nazis. That's my problem here, you all hated me.

Then go get someone else to help you and come back here. More of this whining and you'll be fully and permanently banned from the site.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"@Fighteer .....sorry.

So, apparently Ive been suspended, I'm not sure why,... anyway, I guess it would be cool if you could repeal that, or something, cuz id like to continue editing
Please read our Zero Context Example rules. You've been misusing them on Characters.Survivor Blood Vs Water.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"(sees that his last post had no reply)
Aww nuts. I might as well go sulk around as if I were a forgotten piece of fabric.

Saburo, I suggested that you use our "Is this an example?" thread in Trope Talk to get your edits checked for natter. That's the condition for removing your suspension.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Err, where do I find the link to the thread?
Oh and another thing, I do not know how to look at my Edits history. So I am 100% clueless.
Edit: Got the link. Is there anything else I need to do at the website before you guys can give me the green light? Because I dunno what to post onto the forums.

As I said, post edits in that thread that you'd like to make.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I've done one, but I have one complaint about that forum.
No Preview Button.
I want to add an example to Hard Head, but it tells me that I can't.
Imagine if somone were browsing this thread, and reading my tragic story and reasonable explantion, building reader sympathy and building to a dramatic climax, then they saw that my story ended with you rejecting my heartfelt plea, letting me fade out, a forgotten memory who was never unbanned. Do not make me a shaggy dog story! Show that reader that you are a reasonable authority figure! Demonstrate your boundless mercy!
Unban me!
Attempting to guilt-trip us into unbanning you is not going to work.

"Yup. That tasted purple."I am terribly sorry that I did anything worthy of me getting banned. If you'd please tell me what I've done wrong, I'll make sure to fix it.
Witty is fine; we like that. However, don't insert your own commentary; let the example stand on its own.
Use the help threads I've mentioned previously, particularly the "Is this an example?" thread to get some advice if you aren't certain if what you want to add is natter or not.
