It's funny because most Roleplayers are in fact, the best kind of raiders. You try keeping track of a dozen of P Cs across 3 games and you learn the trick to memorizing such petty things as rotation and boss mechanics.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.Only time parsing ever became an issue for me was on a particularly bad Odin run. According to the guy running the parser, I was outdamaging three of the DPS. I'm a warrior. Between that and everyone's inability to not stand in shit, I ended up initiating the abandon vote, which is pretty rare for me.
I have picked up fishing and I must ask, When does the suffering end? When can I tell these guys to stop the fishing puns?
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans. It doesn't. The EN localization loves its puns.
That said, fishing sucks for other reasons entirely.

Well from what I can tell from fishing, there is a ludicrous amount of content that can more than fill your bags 20 times over before you find the exact item you need.
Also Culinarian makes Runescape cooking look simple.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.Personally I love Culinarian for that reason - nothing's ever irrelevant - you really need to go out of your way to track down ingredients from all over the world.
Annoying? Yes.
Worth it? Maybe. Definitely if you're a crafter/gatherer.
Fun? For me, absolutely.

That is basically exactly how fishing is.
Ran 3F of Alexander for 30 minutes with a group that either failed at yanking adds off me or having the dolls cleave the whole party. Finally cleared it and got no loot for it.
Biggest waste of time ever.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.Shit like that is why I've sworn off Alex.
Hell, it's even arguable that the only thing Alexander is good for is cutting edge Savage clears and glamor already. Most casual players can just skip straight to Esoterics gear.
I don't mind trying a few runs when not doing anything else, but I don't think I'm going to force myself to get gear from each floor every week.
Fishing will eventually give you the option to release a fish you catch, and you'll automatically release any of the same fish you catch for that little fishing trip.
They treat HQ fish different to normal fish, so if you're looking to catch just the good stuff, you can do that as well.
Why they didn't make this something you start with, I have no idea.

If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.Oh, it separates NQ from HQ for that? Good.
fishing: The clutter gets better when you get the "Release" skill at 22. The stretch from 50-60 adds skills that use GP to give you a timed buff to your HQ chance. The puns never stop.
The puns should never stop, I mean seriously half the fun of the game's quest is figuring out if its a pun, song shoutout, TV show shoutout or an old FF shoutout.
i'll say what i told my FC fishers
yall are nuts
"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaFishing is easy, just sit around and cast while watching tv and/or being in a long dps queue.
Did anybody else notice that the Lyrics for Alexander bosses are all in the Goblins mixed up dialect? Example: "No busydeals for the wicked"
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television. That GP for increased HQ chance definitely makes fishing almost worthwhile again, I need to get on that.
I'm curious, how many heavensward players got through the little story arc involving Matoya's frog familiar?
I'd imagine it would be less than most considering most of the missions don't mark objectives on the map, but I thought the final cutscene was sweet.

If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.Skipped the hell out of that.
I might try it if I get really bored. But since I'm leveling my SCH right now, it's probably at the bottom of my to-do list.
I did them all with ease, though one left me stumped until someone gave me a hint. I was totally overthinking it.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.I like quests like those. I got lost looking for Matoya's Cave in the first place so I knew where the bridge was just through exploring before.
Everything else was pretty easy with flight.
Using it within a static raid group to optimize yourself for bleeding edge content is one thing. I understand, accept, and encourage that so that people can figure out the strategies to beat things that lesser peons like me can then use to get clears.
But when you snidely announce you're going to run parse on a turn 1 party finder farm group and then bitch about everyone and their brother about not having "acceptable" dps, that puts one squarely in the category of e-peen tryhard scumbag. Especially when considering that we all got wiped a lot, and the supposed "awesome dps, best dps in the whole group SCH" was one of the first to die, every fucking time. Now, I may be a bit old-fashioned, but I rate staying alive on fucking Cadeceus to be a little more important than 600+ dps.
This person then later, and still has the gall to condescendingly remark "this is why I don't raid with roleplayers" and can't get it through their thick fucking skull that they are a roleplayer. You have a fucking character wiki and you're on Balmung, you're a roleplayer and yet you deride R Per ability to raid. :|
/rantend, goes to get dinner ingredients
