That makes sense to me. I read through it after playing ARR and it made no sense to me.
Decided to just go with Scholar for the time being, since apparently the experience boost other classes enjoy is greater if you have one at 50, and that shouldn't be too hard to manage in a couple of weeks.
I heard something about a new race being teased in one of the main story updates. Does anyone have any idea what it might be?
Some speculate it could be a dragon or lizard type of race.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.Indeed, Yugiri, who as far as I've seen goes masked and hooded all the time, has some kind of lizard tail.
The EXP boost you're referring to applies to any class/job below whatever your highest level class/job is. It provides a 50% boost to EXP gained from killing enemies and completing FATES, but the boost is lessened, apparently (I've never noticed a significant difference), when the levels are closer together.
It also stacks with the rested bonus, which also gives a 50% to EXP gained from enemy kills. Dungeons are your friend in this case, especially roulette. +100% EXP from the already high EXP enemies found dungeons, plus the daily roulette bonus, is pretty much a guaranteed level up, until you get into the 40s maybe, and even then it's still a significant gain.
That's mostly how I took PLD from like 28 to 50. I hate PLD, btw.
I've been using roulette to level characters since it was implemented. Galion Gratzner, my black mage, has just hit level 50, but he's only just done Stone Vigil NM in the story, a quest which only requires you to be lv41.
Speaking of alt grinding I managed to egt CNJ to 30 and ARC to 15 and subsequently unlocked the White mage job and the unicorn mount
Congrats on getting the manliest mount in the game!
At least you get the pure white unicorn. Everyone else and their dog has a different Skittle colored unicorn thanks to the EX Primals.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.really because aren't those primal variant unicorns suppose to be um... rare?
There's also the Warhorse but that's a recent and probably more difficult to get then the mounts.
It also make me wonder if there are other mounts that can be gained by job grinding to 50 (as opposed to the "A Tankless Job" mounts).
Ought to point out that ARC is Archer, and Arcanist is abbreviated ACN. I made that mistake in a dungeon at one point.
With a "special surprise" on the way for any no-lifers that manage to catch 'em all!

A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit in.Other than the novelty, is there even a point to the non-Chocobo mounts? You can't train them or even change how they look - they all seem like downgrades to me.
All mounts are cosmetic.
And I do wonder the "rarity" of the EX primal unicorn mounts since I see them almost everywhere I go.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.Like you said, people with no lives.
I mean, I have no life myself, but you couldn't pay me to do the damn EX primals.
Well I'm a hypocrite cause I got my Thyrus Animus today :P
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.I hate you. I'm still on 6/12, although I've taken a long break from playing because I'm sick of the hunting thing.
A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit in.Ugh, yeah, EX primals. Tried Garuda EX for, I dunno, the fifteenth time yesterday, couldn't do it even with 25% Echo.
I haven't made any serious attempt at the hunts, though I think maybe they made the marks stronger. Last night I was just going back into Revenant's Toll when I saw just about everyone hustling it out of there, so I decided to follow, and ended up getting a hunt kill.
I also have an Atma weapon on one of my characters, and have started on my first book for the Animus. I really think they need to make the Atma drops more frequent. I was mostly fairly lucky I think, but I've heard tell of people going for weeks without getting one, and that's just ridiculous.
Yeah, they buffed B's from solo to light party level, A's from light party to full party, and S's from full party minimum to 2-3 full parties minimum. They also decreased the requirements for getting credit on the kill.
Didn't really help all that much, from what I've read. It's just a band-aid, the whole system needs revamping. It wouldn't have been so bad if they'd added it in 2.4, since then i110 would be standard and raiders would be aiming for i120 stuff from the third coil...
A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit in.Square just made a quick fix to the hunts but I think it did fuck all. People are still camping the marks so unless you join on their parties, fuck you, cause you're not going to get your precious Sands or Oils of Time any faster.
Oh and don't bother getting your hopes up with Atma getting better in drop rates since Square has "no plans" to boost their rate. And Fan Dumb actually defends this crap.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.I'm sure it'll happen...eventually.
Thought the Relics would need to have at least 10 stages fr AE to even consider this. But by then the Fan Dumb's Entitled Bastards would complain. but then they complain about content getting easier tot get or content getting easier period
Now that I think about it, was atma even made because ppl though that there aren't any long term content?

Most people believe Atma, Animus, and Novus was Square's way of keeping people grinding for months until new content could be released.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.Look upon my atmas◊ ye envious and despair
I only have one set of atmas plus an extra Scoripio one. I decided to refrain from upgrading until I can get another set (for keeps)
You found all the Dragon Balls! And the Namek ones too!
A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit in.So, I recently got the game, but I've been having issues even getting it to launch. When I run the launcher, nothing ever shows up—all I ever get is a black launcher. It's apparently an issue with Internet Explorer (why on earth does the launcher depend on Internet Explorer?), but nothing I've done fixes the issue. I've tried using both IE 10 and IE 11, added the FFXIV website to the list of trusted websites, set them both on compatibility mode—nada. Anyone else experienced (and hopefully resolved) this issue?
EDIT: Never mind—after searching for hours my friends finally figured out how to configure everything. At least I'll finally get to try it out !

I still think we should split the page into FFXIV 1.0 and FFXIV ARR. It's a mess as it is.
