oh right, i forgot the namazu have an established non-hostile base in yanxia
"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaCharibert's worst nightmare.
Sample of some of the bigger job changes
Summoner and Scholar are getting some much needed love.
I can't believe they're actually making Tri-bind powerful.
I can't tell if they're just making Ruin III and Ruin IV permanently Upgrade from Ruin and Ruin II, in the style of Bio IV and Miasma III, or if they're removing Ruin III from the normal ability selection and making Further Ruin turn Ruin into Ruin III and Ruin II into Ruin IV when the pet gets a Crit.

I have a message from another time...the word ruin has now lost all meaning
"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaIt has been completely ruined.
I have a message from another time...-Squint- How can you "miss" Heavy Thrust? Like, rotation doesn't start until that bad boy goes off.
Well its not on the gauge, it doesn't link to any combos and it doesn't add any visual effect to your character so I can see it being easy to miss in the millions of buttons a Dragoon has to press?
Hot Shot was just as annoying for the Machinist, although I think they are adding it to their Job Gauge now.

its not part of the gauge, true, but heavy thrust is the first attack of the lvl 50 rotation
like you should always hit that every time you start a new rotation
"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaI think people usually remember it the first time. Its every other time that it gets lost. Dragoon has like two four hit combos, five OGC, their dragon eyes gauge and like four power ups to look after. Its not really a surprise that Heavy Thrust gets lost in the mix up- its so disconnected from the rest of their rotation.

back when i mained dragoon i just put my main rotation on my 1-0 keys (with heavy thrust on 1) and i just clicked all my off-globals
"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaSo veteran rewards got retooled. All the outfits can be obtained much sooner and the other rewards can be bought with achievement points. Naturally, people are throwing salt over how "their hard work" was devalued and that the items are no longer special.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.Ah, yes, the hard work of buying subscription time is being devalued by the trivial task of actually doing things.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.People did the same thing when the Ixion mount was easier to obtain "Oh well everyone can get one now, so mine is no longer special."
Honestly, no one gives a shit about the exclusive items and rewards.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.Ok. I've heard a convincing theory about how Ruin will now work for Summoners.
- Ruin Mastery will change into a trait that just replaces Ruin with Ruin III at the appropriate level. Presumably its MP cost will reduce to
- Ruin II sticks around, but there will be a new trait that replaces it with Ruin IV (which is now instant-cast) when the pet gets a crit.
- in Trance, Ruin III becomes instant cast.
All of this means that Ruin IV is now something you look out for and replace your normal spell with when it's ready. Also, you'll be able to now move freely in Trance, or get up close and whack the enemy with your book for more damage.
That sounds correct to me, and I'd like it.
I have a message from another time...Yeah, DRG has 60 bajillionty buttons to hit in the course of their rotation....but Heavy Thrust is the first. Like, it's hard to miss that orange pencil lead in your buffs bar. If it ain't there, you're wrong.
I do have difficulty maintaining Heavy Thrust when I DRG... however, this is more because I'm bad at rotations. There's a reason WHM is my main.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.I've been using Ninja for my melee DPS needs.

GLAMOUR PRISMS CAN NOW BE BOUGHT WITH GC SEALS

"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaAs a glamour addict, this is fantastic news.
I do kinda feel sorry for the crafters who made a lot of their money by selling prisms on the MB, though.
there will always be a market for prisims not everyone goes for seals
" I did the right thing, didn't I? It all worked out in the end." "In the end? Nothing ends, Adrian. Nothing ever ends."I find it hilarious that just when I've finally retrained my eyes to not look for my Aetherflow icon on the buff bar, they bring it back there.
So the Ivalice raid is pretty tricky to learn with all these mechanics and all. The music is ripped right out of FFT, even the victory theme *squee*
Ba'gamnan and his crew appear at the very end, making me wonder if he, the seeq, the viera, and the nu mou can all appear later on and if they are a part of the world or were summoned/created
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order. It's a little disappointing. All the music is ripped straight from Tactics without change.

I'm mildly expecting the catfish tribe to be the crafting beastman tribe, looking after a mansion sounds reminiscent of the churning mist moogles.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.
