Found an unofficial translation of the Live Letter that just happened in Korea, the post right now is mostly just noteworthy information about jobs.

Some of the more interesting includes Rampart and Shadowskin (defense cooldowns for PLD and DRK) becoming the same skill, getting rid of Thunder 2 and 3 and just making Thunder 1 do more damage as levels get higher, and making enochian permanent so you never lose access to Blizzard/Fire 4

I understand merging the Thunder spells, because that was just unnecessary, but making Enochian permanent? It'll make Black Mage much easier and more consistent to play, but eh... I dunno. I feel like they're kinda taking away the challenge there. Maybe a middle ground would be to have Enochian's timer reset completely on every cast of Blizzard IV, so it's easier to maintain, but you can still lose it if you're careless.

That's what it is; if Enochian is permanent, why does it even need to exist? Just make Fire and Blizzard IV permanent accessible and give BL Ms a passive boost to damage.

It could give some other buff or change we don't know about. Let's just sit tight.

Remember, they want to make rotations simpler so people aren't being excluded from content for not having rotations down. It'd also give devs the excuse to make fights harder if the player can focus on the enemies and less on timing rotations.

One of the more believable speculations I've heard is that Blizzard 4 will give us the old 10% damage buff from Enochian so we still have a use for it, since it doesn't add Umbral Ice, while Fire 4 will stay unchanged

So Diadem 2.0 is out and there's a ton of salt over how it offers ilvl 280 gear and weapons.

Well, I've heard that the stats are completely scrambled on it, so you have to be very lucky to get the Bi S in it.

1 point of weapon strength is worth 10 points in your class main stat, so it's BiS no matter what the stats are. Thing is, getting one isn't actually easy. Emergency Missions are wrecking PUGs because idiots keep pulling everything when you should be focusing on one thing at a time, and that's if one begins at all. Some speculation is that there's a trigger for it like completing FATEs, since they apparently starting spawning less once people started AFKing at the entrance just waiting for one. And even if one spawns and you manage to clear it, the weapon you get is random. You might not even have leveled the class you now have the BiS weapon for.

It's funny how I immediately become nervous about a fight that I know mostly by heart simply by switching from tank stance to dps stance.

Patch is out, time for feels and chaos!

Also, called it~, it just made too much sense for it to be Shinryu instead of Rhalgr with how things had played out.

I didn't expect Yda to be Dead All Along and Lyse to be acting as a Legacy Character

When Yda/Lyse asked Y'shtola, "You knew all along, didn't you?" I yelled at my screen, "Of course she knew, she's not fucking blind- oh wait."

Also, I wasn't sure how Ilberd summoned Shinryu when all the ala mighans were praying to Rhalgr, but I guess the idea that nidhogg's eyes influenced the ritual works well enough. Does that mean the new primal technically is still Rhalgr, just in gnarly dragon form?

From reading between the lines of what they say when you get back, you have to remember what Ilberd said when he specifically likened his new primal to making Bahamut look small time, it was likely intentional that his dying ideal of what the primal should look like would be a dragon similar enough to call him to mind to sew terror and PTSD in everyone who survived the Calamity, Eorzian or Garlean.

On the one hand, that eye-beam attack looks like something the player can do more or less on command, as opposed to the very limited-use Limit Break mechanic...

On the other hand, all the Limit Breaks are goddamn gorgeous...

On the other other hand, several regular abilities (particularly with HW) also look goddamn gorgeous...

All four? Hope you have a 24 man raid where every single healer is an AST and they all use Collective Unconscious at the same spot.

You mean you have healers in 24 man runs that do something other than stack their HoTs and then alt-tab back to Netflix?

Well yeah, some have dual monitors and don't need to alt-tab.

The "healers should DPS/healers should not DPS" will never go away, but I had one moron in Weeping City that accused me and the other healer of not doing our jobs as healers and that we should stick to healing. Never mind the fact that my party kept standing in the stupid and ignoring mechanics. Come final boss, I figure I'd do exactly what that guy wanted and just heal only. Several times they would run into the hair trap, so I never DPS'd it because and they died because, hey, I'm supposed to only heal, right? ;) I can't heal dead people.

Well, unless you consider rezzing to be healing...
